*Han smiled. He knew she was being stubborn.*

"Alright. I'll flood you with my presence as an orienting beacon. it should lead you towards my body."

Perrin withdrew his hand but not before the Jedi's blade slashed through his rather loose fitting sleeve and bit at his right arm.

Perrin bit down the pain his mind more concerned about the torn clothing than anything.

The sleeve was becoming quickly soaked in blood as his feet kicked himself back and he got up in a crouching stance.

It was then that a second Jedi entered the grounds wisely positioning himself between the librarian and the Sith.

An evil grin played across Perin's lips.

"Who are you?" he rasped.

To fight two... hmm..

His grin got wider and he swung his black blade with as much strength as he could at a nearby panel.

The lights went out and in the pitch blackness, Perrin noted the other's blades.

Let us dance in the night shall we?

Kenshin understood that the darkness could be used as an advantage, but he wasn't too sure how.

As the lights went out, so did Kenshin's lightsaber. Maybe the opponent would misjudge his positioning.

He drew on the Force to mask his life energy, melding himself with the Force energy around him to hide. He also sought out the positioning of Ky-Vin and the Sith.

Ky-Vin took a few steps back as Kenshin suddenly entered the battle.
He had quickly tried to tie the sleeve of his tunic tightly across the long slash on his forearm.
He watched as the Sith knocked out the lights.
Ky-Vin let his senses carry outwards with the Force. He could feel the presence of the Sith, the hatred and other uncontrolled emotions along with him.
The librarian was unconscious but still alive.
And Kenshin's presence was slowly filtering out of the Force, though he wasn't sure how. Maybe he could learn that trick afterwards...
Farther away, Ky-Vin could feel the presence of the other Jedi. And the Sith. Some of the other padawans, engaged in struggles of their own. And the Jedi Masters on their way. Then he sensed what he thought was Master Azalin, though she also was spouting uncontrolled emotions. There was an uncertain sense of danger that came immediately with her presence.
But his attention snapped back to the battle at hand.
Ky-Vin maintained his control and tried to send the same supportive feelings to Kenshin.
Together, they would end this.

Again, Ky-Vin moved in to attack. He was using the Force more than his eyes. He moved forward, turned, and swung the shining green blade of his lightsaber at his opponent, ready for the counterstrike that followed.

Malice kept running.......growling at the jedi's words. Looking down at Lono, Malice spoke to him in a soft voice.

*Yes son he is like mommy. They believe in the same thing. While daddy believes in something different from them*

Looking towards the Noghri, Malice sent him yet another message.

(He knows what he is jedi. Amalia has done well to teach him why his mother and father are different. But he has lived far too long with the jedi, learning there ways and teachings. It is time he stays with me, to learn about the darkside)

While outloud he answered the jedi so that Lono could hear.

*What me and my wife have against each other is our business. You would do well to stay out of it*

With that Malice wrapped himself with the darkside, increasing his speed even more.

OOC: If you wanna continue to talk with him, then you can join in the thread i am making.

A long walk, that was what it felt like. She'd crossed the same amount of miles leaving, yet returning felt twice as long.

Masking her force presence no longer felt right to her, not to mention it made it easier to find Han, with her presence unmasked she would no longer have to work as hard.

Han's presence flickered in and out lightly, like a candle blowing in the wind. She knew she was on the right path, death loomed near by.

There...

Out of the corner of her eye....a body, Han's body, or what was left of it, anyway.

She did not want to move forward, to get closer, but she willed herself to move.

There she stood, looking upon Han's dead corpse.

Two large flesh wounds, deep.

Blood everywhere.

Eyes. Eyes that were lifeless.

Amalia could not help but look away.

Her body suddenly losing its footing, she found herself falling, falling right on top of him.

She reached out, eyes stretching wide open, she tried to stop herself, but by the it was too late.

His blood.....it touched her. She was stained.

Yet she could not move, only feel.

Memories, they flooded back to her.

Her failures, reflections of pain, sorrow.

Her emotions were ripping her up inside.

Why is my lifeless body not there lying on the ground?

Why hadn't she been the one to die today?

I can't...I can't do this Han...

Breathing heavily, Amalia willed herself to stand back up.

Her robes now covered in Han's blood, and all she could do was imagine her own blood, her own lifeless body.

Her left hand feel to the lightsaber that Leia had given to her so long ago, she withdrew the weapon from her belt.

The purple blade hummed to life.

I don't fit in as a Jedi....I don't belong here. If I can't belong here, then I can't belong anywhere else...

She closed her eyes, savoring her breath for one last cherished moment....

OOC: If you don't want Kahn to become involved here, let me know and I shall edit.

IC:

Everyone seemed occupied with their own battles; not one Sith emerged to take on the Jedi Master as he stood in the doorway of the Academy, saber ready. It was surreal, really to be standing there alone in the middle of such carnage. To Kahn, it seemed nearly as though he were invisible, like a ghost who had wandered onto the battlefield.

Then he felt a jolt through the Force, similar to what he had felt when Amalia faded from the Light. This time, though, he recognized it, was able to identify some of the emotions that it carried within. A feeling of loss, a feeling of hopelessness. It was very close to what he himself had felt when Hanna died.

She wouldn't....

Even as he tried to convince himself otherwise, the Jedi Master found himself moving quickly across the terrain, barely aware of the ground passing beneath his feet. The Force worked like a homing beacon, and he used it as well to increase his speed. There was a sense of desperation now inside Kahn, a sense that he needed to travel as fast as possible, or he would find himself too late. The Jedi refused to think about just what he would be too late to guard against.

Almost there...

Then the pallor of death and the shadow of the Dark Side, both going hand-in-hand, came into his awareness. It was such a strong feeling that his head turned to one side sharply, like he had been slapped. Still, he kept moving, silently praying that the death was not Amalia's.

Just over a small ridge, and he saw a figure standing over something on the ground. As he traveled closer, he muttered an oath under his breath. It was a body, crumpled lifelessly on the cold soil. The identity of the corpse was difficult to discern because of the injuries, but he recognized it as Han Skywalker.

He didn't stop to think how that had happened; right now Kahn's mind was focusing on one objective now. He could see Amalia and that purple blade of energy, as well as the red blood that she seemed to be drenched in. It was a frightening image, one that could haunt children in their nightmares. But Kahn was no longer a child, and though he was frightened, it was for an entirely different reason.

"Amalia!"

Just that one word was ripped from his throat, from his very soul. It distracted the fallen Jedi, gave him a chance to execute an action that he hadn't even planned; he was acting on instinct now, not thought.

The Light Side didn't waver as it flowed into the Jedi Master, and Amalia's saber flew from her hands, the beam retracting as it landed several yards away. The look in his Master's eyes was one that chilled Kahn to the very bone. His adrenaline was pumping in full throttle, and he took another step forward, determined not to lose someone else in his life.

"Amalia."

This time the word was not yelled, but spoken. Kahn knew that his Master was still inside her, and nothing would convince him differently. His adrenaline was so great that he didn't even take time to question himself, didn't think about what to say or do. Instead, he acted on what felt right, extending his hand to her, stepping closer; the only thought running through his mind was that this was his best friend, and she needed him.

As quickly as her saber was ignited, did it quickly find its place out of her hands.

Amalia found herself gasping for breath, her head spinning, filled with torment.

Slowly her head turned to look toward the Jedi Master that stood before her.

She hadn't expected anyone to stop her, especially Kahn of all people.

Her eyes were filled with pain, pain that she could no longer hide.

She choked at her words.

"Han....Han's gone. Leia...she killed him..."

Her breath was still the same as ever, her eyes fell back onto Han's lifeless body.

"...that should be...me. I didn't..I tried so hard with everything...."

"...Kahn...I'm so sorry...so so very sorry..."

The pain that Kahn felt coming from Amalia was nearly overwhelming; he nearly stepped back, just from the sheer force of it. He had never known that she felt like this, never imagined the magnitude of it.

But instead of stepping back, the Jedi Master stepped forward, gently wrapping his arms around Amalia in a friend's embrace. He wanted to make her stop hurting, so he did the best he could.

"It's all right, Amalia. It's ok. Shhh...I forgive you, Amalia, you don't have to be sorry."

And Kahn held her, rocking ever so slightly back and forth, not the embrace he would have reserved for Hanna, but one that two close friends would share when one was in pain.

He forgot about the blood covering Amalia, forgot about the corpse lying next to them, forgot everything but trying to ease his Master's suffering.

"I'm here for you, Amalia. I'm not going anywhere, I won't leave..."

"I'm here for you, Amalia. I'm not going anywhere, I won't leave..."

Kahn's words only seemed to comfort Amalia in the smallest of ways.

His words rang true to her, but she was still afraid.

She did not want to be left alone, his words gave her hope.

Her pain was still to great to let go off.

She suffered. She was confused.

How quickly it had all happened, then it ended abruptly.

She still felt like a failure. She wanted so despritely to let go of her troubled feelings.

Amalia found herself pulling away from Kahn's comforting embrace(though gently)

Her breath had gone back to its normal state, but she still felt frightened, it was there in her eyes.

"Kahn....please don't make me go back home. I don't want to go home, not now, please..."

She didn't want to go home, back to the academy. She didn't want to have to face her fellow Jedi. She had turned her back on every single one of them in just a few hours time.

How was she supposed to face her students and fellow Jedi again?

Her eyes drifted away from Kahn and back onto Han's lifeless body, some part of her still wishing that that had been here there now.

It brought comfort to her to share her feelings and thoughts.

Her thoughts reached out to Kahn privately.

Kahn...Han...Han's gone...Leia...

Leia...

Leia will never want to see or speak to me again, Kahn....She keeps pushing me away. It hurts. I can't stand to feel any of her discomfort, knowing that she'll just push me away. She won't talk to me about her own troubles and concerns, and I know when she's disturbed. It hurts that she want look to me. I wonder what I've done wrong to deserve to have her push me away like that. I just want to be there, and she won't let me.

She heard screams, breaking her of her thoughts. So frightened those screams were, it made her think of her students.

I've failed them all, every last one of them. I've let them down, including you. I've tried so hard to teach them all right from wrong, and I can't help but wonder if they doubt me. How am I supposed to face them again? They won't look at me the same way again.

Fear.

Please...just take me somewhere safe...
