Kahn knew that Amalia still wasn't out of danger, that right now was when he needed to make the right decisions, say the right words. But for the life of him, his only thought was that he wanted to take Amalia's pain and fear away, onto himself if he could. He coudn't bear to see her like this, so....broken.

It was as though Amalia were a child...and this time, instead of her protecting and comforting him, he would have to protect and comfort her. It was a reversal of roles, one that had not happened before, not on this sort of scale. But the thought of running away or refusing to help never entered Kahn's mind.

To a point, he could identify with Amalia's feelings. They reflected, on a larger scale, what he had felt when he came back to the Academy all those times when he had fallen to Darkness. But he hadn't been shunned, hadn't been whispered about. He had only been accepted again, as the prodigal son was in old writings. And that had meant the world to Kahn.

He wasn't sure if it would be exactly the same for Amalia, but in his heart he vowed not to ever give up on her.

Using the Force channel Amalia had opened to communicate with her, the Jedi Master's blue eyes never left Amalia's.

You don't have to go anywhere you don't want to, Amalia.

There was a sort of comfort in the Jedi's inner voice, meant to soothe Amalia's inner demons.

Don't worry about Leia, Amalia. I can't speak for her, or her actions but....I won't ever turn away from you, I won't ever push you away....if that means anything.

The Jedi Master had had little interaction with Organa Solo, and he didn't know her all that well; he had been aware that the relationship between Amalia and her Master was hitting rough patches, but didn't know it had gotten this bad.

However, there was one aspect Kahn felt sure of when he answered her.

You never let me down, never. You're the one who saved me, Amalia. All those times when I did waver, you accepted me back; you didn't push me away. I would have fallen back into Darkness the first time I wavered, Master, but the fact is that I didn't, because of you. You didn't cause me to waiver; that was the Dark Side at work. You did give me the strength to fight it, so that I never entirely was lost again.

Your Padawans will accept you Master; they just need some time. Have faith.

There was that fear again, fear that Kahn felt through their bond.

Can you make it to my home? We'll be safe there, I promise.

*Han frowned. Kahn was turning Amalia away from her goal. He had to get her back on track.*

"Amalia, you cannot leave. You have a job to finish and a promise to keep." Han said, digging into her mind, forcing these words into her.

As Ky-Vin charged foward, so did Kenshin. He moved though the dark stealthily, changing directions from time to time. He used the Force and the position of the glowing blades to note where each stood. He made sure he was on the opposite side of the Sith as Ky-Vin.

As he moved foward, Kenshin held his lightsaber hilt infront of him. When he came to a few feet away from the Sith, he thrust the hilt foward, igniting the sky blue blade with a snap-hiss in an attempt to skewer him.

Pathetic fool...

There Zeta crouched, hidden within the bushes near be, his presence masked by the force.

He watched the two Jedi in their private moment, it sickened him to see such a display.

Ah, but oh did it bring a rush to him to see Amalia as she was. To be so confused, between both the light and the dark.

..and the man, it made Zeta laugh on the inside to see Kahn comfort her.

Foolish Jedi, you have no idea of what yet is to come...

So clueless he was, she had been tainted, and she was not yet rid of what had consumed her within those hours.

His prying eyes fell away from the two Jedi for a moment and onto Han's dead form.

You will be punished for this day, Skywalker...

Yes, he knew. He had not seen Skywalker fall to the hands of the Jedi, but he had not had to.

A connection between Skywalker and Zeta had already been formed.

I will regain your life, and then you will die all over again....

Han's soul floated, lost, he could feel him, still intact with the darkside.

...Close enough now to communicate with him, surely Skywalker did not think that he would leave him to roam lost. However pathetic he had become, he would still be of use to the Sith Lord, and so he would be sparred.

Leave the woman be, Skywalker. We shall deal with her and her pathetic Master at another time....

He would be sure that Skywalker would seek his revenge on the one who had killed him.

For now we must wait until they leave..

He promised her safety.

Safety was not all that she had wanted or needed. She wanted peace, peace within herself.

She wanted to let go, to become one with the force.

She had wanted to be free of her inner demons.

Han would not leave her, his voice still pounded in her brain.

Please no...Leave me be.

Her head screamed, she wanted to be let out of her body.

I wish I could believe in your words, Kahn.

Her fear would not let her believe.

There was still hope.

She had hope.

Her eyes drifted to the ground, onto her saber, she shivered.

She had once wielded the weapon with such pride and honor.

Yet now she was unsure of such things. Did it still have the same meaning as it once did when it was handed over to her? Crafted with her own Master's two hands, and she was afraid to touch it now, to take the blade into her hands once more.

Her eyes locked with Kahn's and she searched him for answers, but he gave none.

Stepping away, slowly she walked to where the tool rested. Crouching low, her hands reached out for the blade, she didn't pick it up.

Her hand lightly traced the saber. She closed her eyes, feeling the outline of the saber, the shape, it's size, the way it felt across her hands, her fingertips.

She realized how badly she wanted to pick the blade up and take it with her.

It's still mine, it will always be mine. It was meant for me...my own.

She opened her eyes back up, picking up the saber at the same time.

She said not a word as she stood back up, clipping the tool back onto her belt, turning back to Kahn.

She'd never forget the day the blade was slipped from her Masters hands and into her own two hands.

I'm ready to go...

A sense of motherly love seemed to cross Amalia's face as she smiled faintly at her apprentice.

Her hand reached up to nestle his chin within her hand. She looked into his eyes once more, hope found there.

"Thank You," she whispered softly as she gently removed her hand.

*Han felt touched by his masters voice*

"Yes, My Master. What would you wish me to do? She has my body already."

The Jedi Master returned the smile, his own fears concerning the situation lessening considerably. Perhaps things really would be all right now; perhaps the danger had passed. And Amalia seemed to be in control again now, which in itself gave Kahn comfort. It's always unnerving to see someone usually so strong become so fragile; Kahn had never seen Amalia in that state before, and if he had had time to think he would have been terrified. But that moment was past now; despite the blood covering his Master (and now him as well) Kahn was not afraid of Amalia, not now that she was seemingly safe once more.

"A very wise Master I had taught me never to give up hope on others."

A smile, though a bit timid, graced his features.

Then he felt it; a Dark presence nearby. It was a sort of creeping sensation up his spine that gave him the chills. They were being watched, he was sure of it.

Out of the corner of his eye, the Jedi Master thought he saw movement near Han's corpse, like a puff of wind when there wasn't even a breeze that day.

We're not out of the woods yet....

The thought caused Kahn to straighten slightly, taking a more protective stance near Amalia. He suddenly realized that a spirit not ready to be one with the Force such as Han's might hang about, and would go after....of course.

Suddenly, it was clear to Kahn why Amalia had looked as though she were speaking to someone invisible a moment ago. All the more reason to go to his house, where hopefully the restless spirit would not follow them.

Starting to walk, Kahn was grateful that Amalia didn't hesitate to move alongside him. She looked terrible, blood splattered all over her skin and clothes, rips and tears here and there from battles or plantlife. But she was his friend, and so he didn't care what she looked like. Besides, some of the blood had rubbed off on him in their embrace, so he wasn't looking too well either.

"I'm glad you came back, Master."

Those few words held a great amount of emotion, showing just how worried Kahn had been.

ooc: I apologize. I have been on vacation since my last post, and was unable to post anything else until now. Lupercus, I would hope you don't just try to kill my character if I am absent :b .

ic: Logray had lifted his lightsaber to block the Sith's quick attack, but it pushed his small body into the ground. The sith's second lightsaber came, piercing his Jedi robes and burning the hair and skin on his body. Logray cried out from the pain, and fell unconsious. He lay there, for what seemed like ours, feeling only pain throughout his body.

As his vision began to clear, he peered at three shapes, though blurry at the moment, doing what seemed like fighting. When he could see, Jordan was lying on the ground, the Sith raising their hands. He realized what they were trying to do.

"No!" Logray cried at, gathering the force and using what strength he had left to leap forward. He flew in front of Jordan, twisting with his lightsaber facing the sith. His blade absorbed most of the lightning that lept from their fingers, but some flew past, striking Logray. The force of the attack sent him spinning through the forest, rolling on the ground near twenty feet away the his ally and the Sith. Holding onto his now deactivated lightsaber, smoke rising from his robes, he leaned against the tree. He sat there, attempting remain consious and still alive.

(OOC:No, not kill. Just a little tradition of mine when i beat down a Jedi. Stab them clean through the guts. Non-leathal as long as its treated within a day, and leaves a hefty scar by which you can remember me by!)

Lupercus broke out in laughter as the ewok shot out into the forest from the force of his and Chikamis attack. He couldn't help it, flying ewoks had always been his soft spot.

"Well, that was... Interesting!"

His smile disappeared as he charged up another volley of lightning, his mind back on the task at hand.

There was something strange going on, Amalia had taken clear note of it, not saying anything so as not to alarm Kahn unless it felt threatening.

Han had gone quiet, a sure signal that something had changed. Though what had changed, Amalia was not sure.

I'm not one to run from a situation that might need my attention, but I think we'd better hurry up and get out of here. I can't handle anything else troublesome right now.

"I'm glad you came back, Master."

Amalia did not respond at first to his reply, unsure of what to say.

He was glad that she was back? What did that mean?

She did not feel like she was back, she wasn't home. She wasn't protecting her home like the rest of the Jedi were doing. Everything now seemed uninviting to her.

There...just a few more feet....Kahn's house. A moment of relief swept over her, she'd be safe now.

Safe until she slept....
