With a feeling of regret he plucks the saber from the air.

--I am not her-- the Jedi's words echo in his mind's eye.

"That has yet to be seen." Whispers to himself. He had seen this play out before. As he would watch it again. And he hope to all that the universe has that is precious that history did not repeat itself.

But if it did, then he would have to see to his duty yet again.

"The Jedi makes her choice padawans." He moves past them.

"So shall we continue the quest to save the innocent? Or am I on my own to fight the darkness?" He ask's the two as they watch the master go.

Perhaps Amalia perhaps... but perhaps not alone for long…

He watched Amalia depart the scene, Jensen's eyes lowering its gaze.

He nodded slowly…a sarcastic and mischievous smile crossing his face.

"Well gentlemen, someday I will tell my children about this wonderful encounter."

Jensen stood up and casually and nonchalantly walked in between the two conversing. His next words were directed at Toryn.

Though he didn't even bother to look at the soldier.

"Just do the planet a favor and close your teeth."

As he said this he kept walking toward his speeder, any words spoken to him would fall on deaf ears, he just was not listening.

He hopped on the speeder bike and paused as he lightly closed his eyes running the vision again through his head.

Then he looked over at Kenshin and the soldier off in the distance, he didn't bother to utter another word.

He started the speeder bikes engine and took off into the forest at a high rate of speed. Bothering to tell no one of his new destination….

Kenshin watched unmovingly as Amalia picked up her lightsaber and walked away to find some seclusion. He understood she needed some time alone. The battle was for her to fight alone. He could only do so much.

Fate. It was such a strong word. A word he disliked. It sounded so definite and felt so...negative. He had always reasoned without it, treating only as a destination instead of an uncontrollable force.

Kenshin had inwardly frowned as she spoke of Fate in the way she did. And with the sadness in her eyes. That wouldn't do.

He called after her with the force as she was about to disappear from his sight.

"First you have to believe before you can do. What you forsee might be unavoidable but you still should try to avoid it..."

As she faded from his sight, he turned to the others. He gave Jensen a nod as the fellow padawan left on his speeder. He didn't bother asking his destination. He didn't feel that it was his right to know.

Kenshin then turned to face the trooper. He decided that he would help this man with the innocents of the city. He would have to suppress the urge to talk back as best as he could.

"Let's go then..."

With those words, he gathered on the Force and sprinted in the direction of the city. He promised himself with more fervor than before that he would keep an eye over Master Amalia.

The padawan was off with much haste towards the city. Plumes of smoke rise above the structures of mans making.

--He seems to forget that some of us do not have enhanced speed.-- He thinks to himself.

On his belt he presses a button on a transmitter. In the distance he could hear the swish of something cuting swiftly through the air. But there was no other sound of an eingine to announce the arrive of Toryns ride. He focuses his Teras Kasi enhanced strength to his legs jumping a good ten feet up. A swoop comes under him just as gravty intends to reassert itself.

The Swoop is painted in the same ebony black as his Storm commando armor. He speeds after the padawan.

In the city, chaos ensued. All around them sirens blaired as the Emergency response units of the city rushed to where they were most needed. Injured people are strung about the city. With injurys that varied from the minor cuts and bruses too the more serious that would result in death if not treated immediatly.

At one building that was half fallen in on itself already was crowded with bystandereds. Many of witch where at the base trying to dig their way past the debree.

Toryn stops the swoop and gets off.

"What are you people doing here?" He asks, "It is not safe here that building could callapse at any moment."

The men and women doing the digging work on dispite his warning.

"We...(puff)...cann'..t," she puases as she throughs a particularly large piece of duracrete to the side, "Stop until we get our friends out of there."

Toryn looks at the tons of fallen rubble. "Are you sure that they are still inside, let alone alive?"

"Yes." She states with conviction, "We had a holocomique from on of them on the second floor."

That was all that the Teras Kasi needed to hear. "Stand aside then."

The group of tired people looked at him with scutiny as if wondering if they should listen or not. "I said stand asside. The boy is a jedi and I..." he puases, "Ams some one better equiped to help him get your friends out then any of you."

Kenshin quietly watched as the rag-tag group attempted to move the debris near a shaky building. He studied the situation as the trooper addressed the citizens.

After the reluctant group shepherded to a safer spot a good distance away, Kenshin gave the indicated large piece of duracrete a piercing gaze of concentration.

A moment of silence passed before the padawan exhaled a short burst of breath and the piece of duracrete slowly rose into the air about six feet. The edges crumbled slightly as it slowly made its way to the junkpile.

The large piece of duracrete landed on the ground with a muffled thump, recieving a quiet and slightly relieved sigh from Kenshin.

Toryn Went to work on some of the smaller pieces of debree. He considered using some of his explosives but the super structure was already compromise as is and there was no telling how another shock would effect the building. He called on his training and enhanced his strength. Teras-Kasi manage it with a combination of mental hypnotism and adrinaline. He moved sizable chunks of the duracrete, some that were larger then his own body, many easily several times his own body wieght.

The crowd gasped and stared at the feats that the pair before them were performing. Toryn was about to lift another slab when a pebble drop on it and it rang out with a loud thud.

--It's hallow-- He thinks.

"Kid we're in." He says. He slips on one of his gauntlets. He hits one edge of it to his side and with a snap hiss it extended to red light saber like claws. each 2/3's a meter in length. He pulls his arm bat and makes four slices. after witch a square of the duracrete fell inward.

"Lead the way jedi. I can sense force users not life signs. That is your department."

Kenshin gave a slight nod in acknowledgement. He ducked to avoid the low opening and tentatively stepped into the mouth of the hole.

The padawan paused for a moment to adjust to the lack of light and adapt to the claustrophobic environment. As his eyes focused his Force sense sharpened as well, taking carefull note of the Force pattern around him.

"There seems to be two living forms in here. One possibly unconcious. Kenshin called back using the Force.

He then carefully pushed aside some smaller pieces of duracrete. Finding a goodly sized piece of durasteel, he wedged it between the floor and roof. Hopefully it would lessen the chance of the ceiling caving in.
