ooc: Daren, Kalen said this to you...

""Daren, this is Kalen Baathor. I've got a pilot of yours in my ion sights. A Lt. Pelyan. I really need to get you talk to her, before she gets frantic here. I'm going to put you through in just a second." "

and you're not reacting to that? If you're ignoring it, I don't mind, but if your character heard it...shouldn't he do something?

ic: Alarms on the bridge of the star destroyer continue to blare as Atalya's fighter doubles back on its course and begins flying towards the two ships outside of the main fighter bay. The captain scowls and wrings his hands behind his back, staring into one of the main RADAR stations at the progress of each vessle beneath his own.

"Someone contact Commander Trevelyan. Get him to the main hangar immediately."

An ensign nods and rushes from the bridge, accessing internal comuters to determine Daren's location...C Deck. The young officer quickly steps into an elevator and begins his descent, quickly arriving at C Deck and rushing through corridors, searching for the commander of Rogue Squadron. Spotting him through the dens crowds, apparently speaking with another officer, the ensign begins to shout.

"Commander Trevelyan! Commander Trevelyan! Sir, the captain has ordered you to the main hangar! We have a situation with one of your officers!"

OOC: Sorry to go out of character, but I talked to Daren about that actually. He didn't want to be disturbed, and left his comlink in his quarters. Btw, good job in getting him involved despite his efforts:)

ooc: Kalen, I'm ignoring this part

"He continued rocketing towards Rogue Four, initiating a spin to try and throw off any shots she might fire. As they closed, Baathor flung his ship away as her shots were about to connect, rapidly pulling back on the stick and cut throttle down to a third, rapidly increasing his turn rate, and desperately trying to get behind Pelyan."

I never fired anything. The shots that were "about to connect" never existed.

ic: Atalya frowna again as she sees yet another X-Wing joining the small force attempting to stop her from escaping. Dumping more energy into ehr engines and sacrificing laser power, her craft hurtles towards thseo of Tec and Kalen at heightened speeds, closing on them within moments.

"Okay, R2. The instant we're past them, We'll have a clear path, and they'll not be able to turn around for several seconds at least. That's when we have to make the hyperspace jump. We may only get one shot at this. Let's make it count."

Atalya then redistributes her shield energy, pourig it all into her forward array and wondering how much the pilots ahead would wait before opening fire. Her X-Wing continues to speed towards Kalen and Tec, only seconds away from passing them both...

He didn't have a change to answer her question at all. Not like Raven would hear it. Her attention was diverted, for a second.

And, she knew that it was trouble before the ensign even reached them, and knew the very cause.

"Well, it looks like it'll be interupted." Raven said with a sad smile.

Sighing, Raven sat down on a bench, watching the lights and hearing noise bleep and blare as the ensign approached them.

Hearing the ensign relay the message in a panic, Raven nodded.

"Go ahead. I'd doubt I'd be very much of a help in this case. You'll know where to find me later." Raven reasured him.

Well, maybe she could consider it a false-start to this so called.... what, date? Yeah, in all considerations, it could be.

Daren's heart sank as he heard the officer's reports, and he turned sullied eyes onto Raven. He tried to express how exceedingly sorry he was, and he knew exactly who it was. A starfighter plus an officer definitely meant Taly trying to kill herself...again.

She has some serious explaining to do or she's gonna' end up off the squadron.

"Raven...I'm so sorry..." he said trying to find some form of remorse or compensation. "We'll finish this as soon as it's under control, I promise."

He then leaned forward and stole a kiss off her lips, and sped off with the Ensign.

Tec muttered another oath. Quickly he put what he had in sheilds into his speed and reached out with the Force to Atalya and he spoke to her. You forget what Jedi can do. Come on, let me help you out! At least let me come along with you!

Quickly he spoke to Kalen's forces by comm. "Alright you punks, let me say something real quick. Let her through, without firing. I have a tracker here somewhere..."

Quickly Tec grabbed a tracker that he could fire onto the X-wing heading towards him and that wouldn't be harmed, nor could be removed by the r-2 unit. Tech specialties were something Tec had time to make. Quickly he put it in a launch tube, aimed it at Atalya, and fired. He ran back into the cockpit and set up his tracking system and found it working already. It would be needed.

Getting back on the comm, he spoke quickly to the SD. "Tell Trevelan I have a tracker on her ship, now, but I don't know how much it will help. You fire at her, and she may as well already be dead, without shields."

He maneuvered his ship around in a circle and then put his yt in beside Atalya's X-wing, on the left side. He looked out the window and flashed a smile towards her, not caring if she saw or not, and then said to himself, "If I don't die today, don't let me die soon! Don't let her die either!"

She had a feeling that him having to leave her to take care of an official task would be inevitable, but it stung, nonetheless.

From the look on his face, he was sincere in his appology.

Then, woah, wait a sec.

By the time she figured out it was a kiss, he was already heading out with the ensign.

Raven wasn't sure to laugh, or cry at this point, but, instead, leaned back on the bench, and bonked the back of her head against the solid surface.

"OUCH!" cried out suddenly, when she hit the bench too hard, wincing for a couple of moments, then continued with venting her frustration and confusion on the poor bench with her head.

OOC: Oops, sorry about that Atalya, I missed a correction in my edit. Please consider these words, "her shots were about to connect" null and void. Tec, nice idea on the tracker, I thought of and decided not to try that earlier.

IC: "Crystal, I've got new orders for you. Do not let Lt. Pelyan out of the system. Fire the Ion cannons if she tries to get past you, and continue manuvering for containment. Await furthur orders." He cut this communication off just as the ships were passing, performing a textbook manuever to pull back behind her. It was a bit easier as she seemed mostly concerned with getting away rather than evasive manuvers, but Kalen lost more ground than he would have liked.

His jaw clenched, the pilot made a decision and took action. Again he readjusted power, throwing all shield power into the engines. Baathor was thrust back into his seat as the engine power nearly doubled. The snubfighter was nearly thrown past Atalya's before he could cut the throttle down.

OOC: Ohh, and I'd prefer not to be referred to as "punks" if you could Tec. Thanks.

ooc: Sorry bout that, but I had to say something to fit his attitude atm. I'll say something else next time, but right now, I think I'm gonna try and keep her away from ion cannons, sorry if you don't like that Atalya, and I'm gonna try and keep myself and you from getting tricked and from getting killed at the same time.

Atalya shakes her head as she speeds ever closer to Kalen, Tec and the larger vessel from which Kalen's X-Wing had emerged. She sighs softly and watches as the last of the energy in her lasers begins to degrade, her shields being reinfoced to double strength all around her craft.

"All I have to do is get past them. Then I am home free..."

Meanwhile, the ensign hurries Daren towards the hangar bay, briefing the commander on the current situation as far as anyone know it, that Atalya had left the star destroyer without permission aboard her X-Wing, and it is highly believed that she is attempting yet again to end her life.
