"Weapons, be ready to disable Lt. Pelyan's X-wing if she tries anything funny. I'm going to get a hold of Commander Trevelan and get him talking to her." Watching the two fighters through the front viewport, Kalen pulled up Daren's personal comlink frequency and dialed it into his own. Seconds later, a beep signaled the connection was good. Baathor hoped he wasn't interrupting something vital, but knew this had to be more important. "Daren, this is Kalen Baathor. I've got a pilot of yours in my ion sights. A Lt. Pelyan. I really need to get you talk to her, before she gets frantic here. I'm going to put you through in just a second."

Now over the ships communication system, he hailed the Lieutenant's X-wing. "Lt. Pelyan, this is Kalen Baathor aboard the YV-666 that is targeting your fighter. First, please know that only Ion cannons are pointed at you. I in know way wish to endanger you, much the opposite. Now, I don't know why your doing what your doing, but I don't want it to happen. You probably won't believe me, but despite the circumstances of how you got into this situation, I know how you feel. A few months ago, that was me."

"Okay, now I'm going to connect Commander Trevelan to you now, and let him talk to you. Please talk it out, I don't want your death on my mind. And trust me, it'll always be there."

He connected Trevelan and cut his own connection. Whatever they would say was thier own information. He didn't need to know. Not the most religious man, Baathor found himself praying despite his lack of faith.

Atalya scowls as Tec and Kalen both begin blabbering across her comlink. She bares her teeth And slams on her commlink to her R2 unit.

"R2! I'm only going to say this once. I want you to sever all power to my commlink and eject the main communications array. Now!"

The droid squeels in protest, but follows the orders of the pilot, first cutting the power cables to the comm system on board the X-Wing. Seconds later, a metallic box flies off the top of the craft, the receiver floating away from Atalya's speeding fighter.

"Good work, R2."

Atalya then flicks a switch on her control panel, her S-Foils opening and locking into attack position. She smiles wickedly as she powers up her lasers, the energy in the weapons increasing rapidly. She sets the blasters to single fire and rotates her targeting system to lock on to Kalen's craft.

"I won't be diabled. I won't them stop me. R2, help me target their weapons. I don't want to hurt any of them."

Atalya then licks her lips, her X-Wing now a good distance from the star destroyer. She begins to pull the craft about, so she might engage Kalen and Tec if they make is necessary.

"These punks have another thing coming if they think they can out-fly me."

Atalya then glances to her photo of Daren, then immediately back ahead to the ships only a few hundred meters away, and the distance reducing rapidly.

"I was trained by the best."

ooc: Just to make it clear, I havn't actually decided whether or not to keep this character around yet. It all depends on what happens in this thread. I'm not disallowing her craft from being disabled (not taht I think it would be easy to accomplish), she just ICly doesn't want it to happen.

OOC: Good for you, last I talked to Daren he told me you were pissed and wanted her dead. While I admit, I don't know your reasoning, I'd at least like to learn what it is before your dead. As Tec said in his first post(before he joined) feelings change. Btw, good luck taking out the "Crystal Shard" btw, in case you weren't aware a YV-666 is 225 meters, and this ones modified(or it wouldn't have ion cannons.

IC: The former Rogue's eyes bugged out for a moment as the snubfighter out in from of him as a portion of the ships circuitry was ejected and it began evasive maneuvers. Fortunately the ensign in charge of the shields wasn't shocked the way he was, and the shields blinked into existance even as Kalen returned to normal.
"Open fire on Rogue Four as soon as she fires or attempts escape. Ion cannons only. Watch your fire however, don't hit the other X-wing. I'm headed out as well." Kalen was sprinting down the corridor to the hanger even as he yelled out his orders, trying to connect to the Jedi's comm frequency as he did. He gave up as he leapt down the steps and moved towards his personal fighter. Instead he'd use an open channel, it'd work just as well, he just didn't want the Jedi shooting at him as well.

He tugged on his helmet, not even bothering to connect the straps, and began powering up. Over the fighters comm he called out, to the pilot of the other X-wing, "this is Kalen Baathor. I'll be coming out to assist in disabling Lt. Pelyan. I'm not hostile to you, please do not fire on me." Moments later, the X-wing shot out, the S-foils opening up as he passed through the magloc field. The 'Crystal Shard' had already undocked from the ISD, and was manuevering away from the larger ship.

Turning towards the suicidal pilot, the distance was dropping quickly, and Kalen could just barely see Atalya's outline in the cockpit. At this distance the lasers wouldn't have much effect on his shields, but they would soon. "Tweeter, begin boosting sssss..." Baathor cursed as he realized he'd taken off without his astromech. That would make this more of a challange, but he'd rather it not be happening at all. In the back of his mind he was plagued with bad memories of other life and death situations he'd flown in, often more death than life involved. He could never forget these tragedies, his holographic mind would not allow it. That's why he'd left the Rogues to begin with.

Seemingly on thier own, the ace pilots hands flashed over the controls, redestributing power. His X-wing was not a factory model, over the years he'd had it he'd continually tinkered with it, replacing old parts with better ones, increasing the power generator capacity, and adding an Ion cannon just in front of his position on top of the nose. He pulled all power from the laser cannons, putting half of that into the shields, a fourth of it into the engines, and the last bit into the ion cannon.

He continued rocketing towards Rogue Four, initiating a spin to try and throw off any shots she might fire. As they closed, Baathor flung his ship away as her shots were about to connect, rapidly pulling back on the stick and cut throttle down to a third, rapidly increasing his turn rate, and desperately trying to get behind Pelyan.

EDIT: Sorry about that, I was a bit stressed out at the time, and let my RP get away from myself at the time. In addition, I somehow missed the comment about trying to take out weapons. Odd thing is, I actually thought that while I was writing. Apologies. *tips hat*

*laughs* Rereading it I really was out of it. A number of errors I don't normally make.

ooc: Kalen, I read about the first paragraph of your post and I'm not reading any further. I NEVER said I was opening fire. I'm ignoring all of that foolishness until it is edited appropriately. No offense.

With No Knowledge of the Events Conspiring in Space

His eyes traced from the ground to meet her's after slapping the chair's arm with the tips of his fingers in a rythmetic beat. A smile then caressed his lips as he thought of what he'd like to do with her.

"You know Raven," he said thinking, finally using her first name. "There's a sort of a festival going on on C Deck...I hear they've got games and such down there...if you're interested."

Ah, there it was, way out in the open.

"And you wanted me to join you? And what kind of games do the have down there?" Raven asked, raising an amused eyebrow.

Games? Well, why the heck not?

She hadn't had a day of fun in awhile.

"Well, why not? I'm in." Raven chuckled.

Daren then smiled and grabbed her hand, leading her out of the apartment excitedly. All the while down to C Deck he would talk to her about the experiences in the Republic and Rebellion he'd had, and of all the times he'd heard the Skywalker recited over and over in the academy.

But in no time at all they were down there, staring at excited games all about such as a darts game, a paintball-transparisteel game, a laser tag game, a flight simulator, and one that would most definitely catch Raven's eye...a duck pond game.

"Well now if I haven't seen everything," he said, giving her hand a quick squeeze. "What do you wanna' do Raven?"

The answer to his question seemed to relive the nervous tension in Daren, and she didn't have much of a chance to chim in as he led Raven down the halls, holding her hand as they went.

For some reason, she didn't want to let go of that hand, but didn't worry about it.

He kept mentioning the various mentions of her family name, and mentally gulped.

So much to live up to.

Finnally, his little roll of words was finnished, and he turned the conversation over to her.

With all the lights and sounds, she was placed in a confused state.

"It's all strange." Raven managed to murmur, a puzzled frown appearing on her face.

"What do you think?"
