Raven laughed, shaking her head.

"My dear, I had every intention of returning. I just didn't specify when. I've been through so much emotional turmoil in the past month, that I needed a chance to relax and sort things out.

At the very beginning, when we first met, if you gave me such an opportunity to hit you, I would take it.

I'm sorry if I had worried you, I really am. To worry you was not my intention."

Raven then smiled, a hand reaching up to caress his cheek.

"I completely understand if you now hate me."

He pulled away from her and just stared at her.

"I hate everyone. But not you."

He turned and started to walk away. Motioning for her to follow, he headed off towards his ship. It was obvious he wanted to get back to the ship and get home. He didn't like this planet very much. It was too green, too full of life. He had to get away as fast as possible and that meant leaving now.

"Let's go."

Raven nodded, watching as he started to walk away, slowly rising to her feet to follow.

Little Magaia, a little scared of the cold look in his eyes, had carefully climbed onto Raven's back, the girl's tail curling around Raven's waist.

"He's not too compfy in places like this." Raven mumured, hearing a puzzled meow in reply as Raven continued to walk, following the path her husband had taken.

Hopefully, his own ship was closeby, for Raven was already tired of not only this planet, but also wanted a chance to sit down again.

They reached a clearing and he pushed aside the camouflage net that covered his ship. The sleek, and fast, yacht sat underneath of it. Stowing the net in a compartment after opening the hatch and walking inside, he turned to look at his wife.

"Well come on. And bring her too."

He headed for the cockpit and sat down in the pilots seat. Going through the preflight checklist ook only a few moments. But they were a few moments wasted. It mad ehim wish some idiot with half a brain would figure out how to make the preflight checklist obsolete.

Another puzzled meow escaped the tiny feline's lips as she heard her husband tell her to hurry up, and to bring the girl with her.

"I don't know what got him to decide to invite you, but since he told us not to ask, the answer to that question will have to wait." Raven mumured, reaching behind her to scratch the girl upon her furry head.

"I'm scared." Magaia whispered, feeling the girl's furry head gently rub against her own.

"I know you are. But don't you worry, I'll watch over you like you're a member of my own family." Raven replied reasuringly.

"Family?" the feline instantly replied, making her chuckle.

Strolling up the boarding ramp, she couldn't help but smile as the girl seemed to be struck in awe, wanting to know what everything around her was, as Raven slowly made her way up to the cockpit and sat down next to her husband. The feline quickly moved to sit upon Raven's lap, her tail hovering over the switches and flashing lights in pure facination.

"One of these days, you'll know what those switches do, but for now, it might be best to not touch them. He's already in a cranky mood. Don't want to press your luck, now do you?"

Hearing Magaia giggle as she quickly retracted her tail, she gave a grin to her husband.

"Yeah, yeah. I have one of those headaches. THe ones I get when I haven't been doing anything with the Darkside."

The ship jetted off of the ground after the repulsors sent it up far enough. Blasting through the atmosphere, Zerxes began plotting a course for home. It would take time to get there, however. They were a long ways from home. Right now wasn't the best time for talking to him.

"I need to kill someone when we get home."

Hearing him murmur something about a headache, Raven's eyebrow rose instantly in puzzlement.

"I'm not one of those headaches, am I?" she asked, only to get a glare in reply.

Oooh, bad timming for a conversation. I've been away so long from you, that I have to review a lot of your habbits, both good and bad.

Finally hearing him mutter that he needed to kill someone when they got home, Magaia instantly howled in fear.

"Not you, sweetie. I'll kick his butt if he tries." Raven murmured, scratching Magaia's head as the feline cuddled in closer to her, Raven's eyes giving a familiar mischievous light as she smirked in her husband's general direction.

"You could try, but I wasn't referring to her."

As they cleared the planets sphere of gravitational pull, Zerxes activated the hyperdrive and sent them into hyperspace on their route home. Sitting back in his chair he looked over at them.

"Sorry. I'm just not feeling too hot."

Seeing him sit back in his chair and look in her general direction, the mischievous grin quickly faded.

He seemed so tired when he told her that he wasn't feeling too well, making her tilt her head a bit in concern.

Magaia, realizing that something was wrong, had turned her gaze towards him as well, her ears perked in sudden attention. The feline, too, seemed to be showing signs of concern towards him.

Raven didn't understand why her husband had allowed the girl to travel with them. She so wanted to know the reasoning behind the decision, but now it was overridden by her own worry for the one she loved.

"Some how, I feel as though I'm a cause, and I wish I could remedy that."

He shook his head.

"You can't."

Looking back out the viewport, he distantly wondered what his brother and the twins were doing. There was still that nagging sense of wanting to kill them. All of them. But that sense was overriden right now. He felt tired, weak. Mostly from spending so much time in space all of a sudden. Partly because he hungered for death.
