religion is an institution, not people. the religious are the people who follow a religion.

i said religion is bad. not the religious.

religion serves no purpose but to breed hate, take money, and cause war.

It is not religion that corrupts man, but man that corrupts religion.

In other words, there's nothing wrong with religion itself, but rather some of the people with in it that twists it to serve their own purpose.

when was the last time you lived 400 years? or moved a mountain?

and no religion in itself is corrupt. look at the tenets of judaism, islam, or christianity. there are examples of slavery being okay, killing infidels being promoted, and more. not to mention the three largest religions in the world have advocated the murder of one another for the past millennium. so really any possible good that has come of it, is sorely outweighed by it's cons. its like breaking your arm and then stubbing your toe.

the religion holy books of the world were written by people which makes it corrupt to begin with by that logic anyways, so really this arguement is futile.

Fanatic Religion isn't good; but personal Religion and belief is retrospective to the individual. I'm Religious, a Christian, yet I don't agree with some of the aspects of the church and its beliefs; on the other hand, I have points that I agree with whole heartedly - however, I also don't feel the need to preach them, or impose them on others without their wish.

I guess it's all a matter of who we are, and what we want to believe; and the sooner we all stop trying to force our beliefs on others, is when we will have better days. *nod*

As for the topic... I think its gross.
