Interpol. I wish I could say I liked them. Unfortunately I can't. I saw them in concert this year and nearly fell asleep to their monotonous melody and repetitive guitar strumming. (No, I am not exaggerating. I vacated my near-front standing position to a seat in the upper level, against the back wall. And dozed off.)

I have since seen them enter alternative radio with their best song, which is palatable, but still monotonous.

I congratulate them on their unique sound, which I have not heard before. However, it's a sound I really hate.

I agree with Sam about Interpol. Unique, in that no one else does it. Good use of simile. But everything they do sounds similar and it's not quite awesome enough to make it forgivable.

I'll do more research but I'm not hooked yet.
