Maintaining his sturdy vice-grip on the intruder's neck, he listend intently to her garbled words.

News? What is she talking about.

She couldn't possibly mean . . .nah.

His thoughts wavered for a moment before he set about offering a response.

"What News?" He said, shaking his arms slightly as if to underline his question.

Andra winced as his arm became slightly tighter around her throat while he was shaking them. It was evident that he wasn't into showing any mercy, but if she could grab his attention, then he at least might loosen his grip.

"Vergil.." was all that she muttered, hoping that it would be enough.

Vergil

The words passed her lips with alluring femininity, causing him to relinquish his tight grip and stumble back several steps onto the edge of the bed.

His rearend collided with the sheets making a dull thump while his hand made an audible slap against his forehead.

Her revalation had substantiated the communiqué from high command he'd recieved earlier. Something was happening on Vergil.

He picked himself up from his thoughts and placed his body between her and the door.

"Tell me the information, and i might consider letting you go." He said. Usually he would have made no sort of bargain, but the news was too precious to risk loosing.

Apprehensively Andra stood up, and instinctively brought her hands up to massage her throat which would more than likely be bruised in the morning.

"I was sent here to be your escort to military command. When I came to your door no one answered so I came in to check if anyone was staying here. When I saw you sleeping, I was just looking for some kind of ID so I could be sure I had the right person."

Holding up her arms, a little over her head the turned slowly around in a circle. "I'm unarmed and I meant no harm." She said, though she did have a few very well hidden weapons on her.

A frown clouded his face momentarily.

Why was she daudling? Get on with the damned thing woman! Spit it out![/i] his thoughts added a perverse curvature of puzzlement to his already growing frown. Turning it to a scowl.

"I don't care why you're here!" he snapped, striking his hand through the air as if to physically underline the point. "What of Vergil" He said, advancing and gripping her firmly by the upper arms, thrusting her backward awkwardly. HIs entire body lurched forward with the vigour of a man possessed.

His unbottled emotion was not a normal or safe occurance.

By merely entering his room unannounced, she had spurned his anger.

Her eyes opened wide as his hand wrapped around her entire upper arm and he shook her violently. Andra's jaw went slack and for once in too long of a time, there was actual fear in her eyes. What had she walked into? Did Dakkon know much about this guy? If he did, why wasn't she informed, she would have taken much better percautions.

"Vergil...its horrible. So much destroyed, we need to go back to Headquarters. It's imparative. I haven't seen anything of this magnitude...ever. Just come back to Headquarters with me." Andra said in a tone barely more audible than a whisper. At first she had been acting out her fear, but it had gotten way out of hand and she was literally locked in a room with a madman who was twice her size. If she couldn't convince him to come to headquarters, she was beginning to doubt her coming out of this with out being in critical condition.

' . . .it's horrible' were the only words that seemed to stay present in his thoughts, everything else seemed to be edged out.

Vergil seemed to take priority ever since the transmission earlier, and he'd been getting increasingly anxious since. Her words gently prodded him over the edge.

Grabbing a hairband from the dresser and tightly wrapping his blonde locks in a ponytail, he loosely hung his dress jacket over his shoulders and gripped Andra tightly on the shoulder.

"We're going." was the only response he offered.

Andra winced at his vice-like grip and tried to shrug it off but to no avail. Instead of continually struggling she decided that for now she would just have to submit. Eventually, if things took a turn for the worst someone would come looking for her....she hoped.

"Where exactly are we going...?" she inquired quietly, looking to cure some of her curiousity but weary of pushing him over the edge.

"Where are we going?" He sneered, as if to chuckle, then wiped the entire expression of humour for his face.

"We're going to find out what happened to Vergil."

....................

Jerix sauntered up to his shuttle that awaited for him not far from the hotel. He had still not recieved any clearance from the Gallinore authorities so he could leave, however he was hardly in a mood to care about consequences. He'd deal with them later.

"You're relieved." he muttered to the guards who looked at one another, exchanging a look of puzzlement.

"You heard me!" He growled, and without hesitation, the guards shuffled off.

It was late evening and a cricket croaked in the background almost drowning out his whistle which he made to call Andra from the shadow's.

Activating a small remote on his belt, the shuttle door swished open, spewing white plumes of coolant hissing out onto the gang plank.

"Come on." He commanded as he strode up the walkway into the shuttle.

Andra clenched her jaw and fist simultanously as she was called from the shadows. Not in the least did she appriciate being treated like a dog, but she would have to comply for the time being. On the upside of this all, she was getting an indepth look at this new recruit, like she was supposed to.

Walking up the shuttle's walkway she walked past Jerix with a glare and then stood there, awaiting for him to get the rest of the way aboard.
