A lone figure stood directly in the sunlight pouring in through the rooms many floor to ceiling windows, and she faced a large desk that was at the very far end of the room. Behind the desk sat an executives chair, plush, and made of the finest leathers that money could buy. But within the chair sat a figure that had his features hidden in the shadows, one of the very few blindspots that the sunlight just could not reach. The whole layout, down to that very placement, of the room was ingenious.

Andra's hands were clasped behind her back and she held her chin up high. Her gaze was fixed on the shadowy figure directly in front of her.

"Andra, I need you to go to Gallinore and be my eyes and ears, things must run smoothly. Just make sure you find out all you can, especially about the invading species."Came a voice from the shadows.

Andra nodded her head curtly, "Yes m'lord. I will leave immediately." she said as she did an about face and headed back towards the the large double doors.

"Oh and Andra....keep a watchful eye on our new recruits." Was heard as two guards flanking the doors opened them and she walked through them.

A shuttle would be awaiting her arrival already, and most likely was waiting even before she knew her mission. Gallinore wasn't far off so she knew she wouldn't be in need of packing anything.

As she suspected as she walked onto the large landing platform, a Hapan Royal shuttle was waiting. Without even a word to any of the crew she boarded the vessel and sat down, leaning the chair back and closing her eyes.

Nothing out of the ordinary really. She thought to herself, Basic recon, but he would want everything noted. Every gesture, word, emotion, everything. These new recruits were to be watched as a predator watches its soon to be dinner. Finding any weaknesses and strenghs.

The function halls of the Navy Centre, vanished rapidly onto the horizon line as Jerix' personal executive landspeeder rocketed away.

His hopes to have a rugged verbal exchange with the Commodore had been dashed by the priority transmission that awaited him at military control. He was caught of guard by the message that had torn him away. With the inking of the treaty he had been granted a permanent reprieve from such priority transmissions. Maybe he had been a little naive to expect that it would be over so quickly.

At top speed, he headed toward the nearby landing towers where his shuttle had been docked for the duration of the festivities, for it contained the only subspace transceiver he had access to on the entire planet capable of long range transmissions. The rest at the Navy installation were either locked down or heavily monitored. As the impatient bleeping of his comlink suggested, he had neither the time or the inclination to wait through the procedural gibberish in order to gain access to Gallinore's watered down communication system.

Jerix barely had his foot out the door before his Sorro Sub V-90 shuddered to a halt outside the docking tower where his shuttle lay. The boots of his entourage made a crisp crunching music on the steel floors leading to the shuttle.

He was met by one of his bridge crew who had remained onboard while the ceremonies had passed by and who had unfortunately been subjected to the high tensions brought by the transmission. That much was evident in his colour-drained features.

"S-sir?" He stuttered. "Headquarters are calling you on the comm, they say its extremely important."

"All right." Answered the Commander, "Pipe it through to the cockpit, I'll take it in there."

Jerix continued, not joined by his throng of aides, into the cockpit and parked himself perilously onto the edge of the soft leather chair, illuminated only by the thick blue glow of the monitor ahead which bore the crest of the consortium.

"Connecting now sir!" Came the muffled yell from the rear quarters, to which he offered a short nod.

"Greetings Commander Macor. I apologise for the abrupt interruption to your evening, but this could not possibly wait. What you are about to see is an encoded SOS from the planet Vergil that we received seven hours ago. . ."

<font size=1>"Attacked . . .force unknown . . . send reinforcements . . . all is lost . . .can't take much more . . .aliens landing . . .help us now . . ."</font>

"That's about all we could clear up from what we received. As far as we can tell it's been bounced around nearly seventeen different relay satellites to avoid detection, but lost a lot of its quality in the process.

As it stands now, headquarters are demanding you return to base for further instructions as to how we proceed.

General Gorinson out."

Slumping back in his chair, Jerix' hand rested tentatively on his forehead in a vein effort to halt the forming of sweat on his brow.
He stumbled uneasily out from the cabin, greeted by the waiting gaze from the rest of his crew.

"Set course for home."

"Sir?" began the pilot.

"Just do it!" He snapped, cutting the younger officer off."

Vergil . . .his home from home was in jeopardy.

The skies clouded over and a thunder loomed ever closer on the horizon. Jerix opened and closed his fists, hoping to ease his rapidly beating heart.

The polished metalic walls inside the station were flickering with cleaniness,it was like a mirror which you could see yourself in.The ships were now halfway to being what they were when they were first built for the Hapes Consortium to protect the Hapes Cluster.Dante walked towards the bridge and could still here different calls on missions but one gave him interest.

A cerimony was being taken place on a planet called Gallinore to begin a signing of a peace accord between a rebel and the consortium.Dante asked for a copy of this message and requested for his fleet to be active and ready for depature. He went to the changing rooms and put his weapon belt on and then ran towards the docking bay.

The flickering blue force field was opening enabling the crafts to take off and enter space to head to Gallinore. The engines fired up and made a loud boom sound as the fire came out of the engine pipes. The ships shaked and then flew out of the hangar bay on the way to Gallinore to join in with the peace cerimony.

Dante asked for the calculations for hyperspace and told them whenever your ready. The craft swooped round to get into line to make a clear run and then all at once the commander hit the boosters and the fleet vanished into hyperspace.Dante took this as a good time to go over the copy of the recording of the transmission from Gallinore about this peace cerimony.

In the Barracks, the troops continue to do their daily training, marching, eating the same stuff, and talking to the same people. Each day the mechs are sent out training each troop how to use them, everyday you hear the clapping noises from the marching men in their light but strong armor.

Clone Fett goes through the same procedure, training, marching, commanding troops in simulation to keep his commander status in tact. But he thinks something might happen to him like get killed, get captured by the enemy or even worse watch his fellow troops do the same thing. For the past few years Clone Fett has lost so many men (1113 to be exact). The grunts say he has changed over the past few weeks, hes become more wiser, faithful and more determined to get the job done. People respect that and trust him for what he has done for other troops, even higher ranks than Fett respect him but he dose'nt know that.

Every Wednesday post comes through from our families and friends to see whats going on in their home town. Clone Fett always looks forward to his posts because he enjoys watching his son grow up and his wife become for beautiful. But this wednesday and it was'nt a message saying 'I love you' it was a message from The Hapes Government saying 'You've been tasked to the small taskforce being sent to investigate what happened at Vergil'.

Troops in Fetts Squadron over heard this and felt ice chilling down thier spines.
'We cant does that, its suicide!'
said a nervous rookie who joined Fetts Squad last week.
Fett said nothing as he was looking at the troops with nervous looks on their faces, behind them was the grey wall that Fett never really looked at, but this time it was different. It had photographs of the troops families looking happy with the beautiful scenery behind them, waiting for their men to come back to them.
Fett: I know what your thinking that this is suicide, that its impossible, well its not, anything is possible, just have a clear conscious and think clearly about what your doing.

Troop#1: Sir, if go in there with just a few men...we could be killed in a matter of minutes.

Fett: Well we will just go in with a few men.

Troop#2: What are you talking about sir!

Fett: If we go in there with a few men the alien like creatures won't pick us up because we will be to small for their scanners.

Troop#1: I still think its suicide.

Fett: We have two weeks, I'll asemble the few men and i'll let you all know whos going in with me.

Fett turned around and walked back to his bunk and thought about his men with these alien like creatures. 'My men dont have a chance against those freaks, ecspeacially with just the standard issue repeater rifles. Fett had his since the Rhen Var Incident.

Kamon got sick of waiting and rose from his seat and over to the communications monitering station.

'Anything?'

The officer turned with a datacard in his hand.

'This came through, sir. Message from the command'

Kamon took it and headed to the rear of the command deck and into a room branching off. Kamon took a datapad from his pocket and inserted the datacard, the words sprawling onto the screen as it loaded. Kamon sat down for a moment and read the message intently, taking in every word of it and, for some reason, trying not to recite it out loud.

Kamon walked back out onto the command deck and over the navigational officer.

'Take us to Gallinore. Fast. Give it everything you can give the hyperdrive. Transmit what i just said to the captains of the other ships'

'At once, sir'

Kamon watched out the window of the command deck as the stars elongated into lines as the ship inititated the hyperspace jump.

I only hope that Captain Kaldaka and Leonheart can get there

The copy was slotted inside the computer and was ready to play.Dante pressed the button and the transmission came on.He sat there with interest listening to the transmission while staring out of the ships window staring into space concentrating on the transmission.

The copy was coming to an end, Dante stood up and pressed the button and wondered....a ceremony for a rebel to make allies with the consortium,it didnt make sence why would one rebel want to do that, either way Dante went towards the bridge and asked for them to keep a constant time count to know how long we have till we get to Gallinore.

The colours in hyperspace were beautiful, mixed with purples, blacks, blues and lots more reflecting off the ships shiny metallic body making the ship look the same colour. The ship was smooth, not a single shake from the ship had been made since the jump into hyperspace. This what not a war but an invitation to a ceremony which Dante took it as.

The speakers came on which showed they listened to Dante's orders."All crew 4 hours till we reach Gallinore" said the commander incharge of the upper bridge.

The 2 weeks are almost up, and Clone Fett is getting frustrated about what men he could take and what hes ment to be investigating. He sat on his bed and crossed his right fingers through his left fingers, and placed them under his chin, he looked as if he was praying for a miracle or something. 5 minutes later he stood up quickly and barged open the officers door and said to his Commanding Officer: (slamming his hands on the desk)

'Sir, Tell me what the hells going on with this damn mission, im sick and tired of my troops worrying about whats at Vergil. So i need to tell them NOW!'

'Dont you ever knock Fett, Im going to tell you because I was ment to tell you when you got the brief but I didnt want you to know until the last minute'

'Why didnt you tell me earlier sir?!' (Angrly)

'Because I enjoy watching you getting frustrated and because Fett, i dont like you,' (waving his pen)

'Thats your opinion and your welcome to it, also i dont care what you think of me. Just tell me whats going on'

(Long Pause)

'Alright Fett, you have been tasked to do this mission because we've lost contact with Kamon Shaddaa, Dante LeonHeart went in a few days ago but we hav'nt heard from him since. We need you to go and investigate what happened to them and give them assitance if they need it. I know you dont have much experience but your a good Lieutenant in the barracks and the troops respect you. You'll get deployed tomorrow even though you thought you'd be deployed in the nxt few days'

(Clone Fett stormed out the room.)

'Ok you're welcome Fett'

Clone Fetts Commanding Officer was an anoying little worm who enjoyed watching people squarm and follow his stupid and yet suicidle orders. One trooper told Fett about the officer when Fett was'nt there that a grunt went in there and locked the door holding the officer hostage. This grunt went mad and started treating the officer as if he was a little rodian because this grunt hated rodians, the officer was begging for mercy, basically he was trying to buy more sand for his hour glass, the grunt was'nt selling any. The Military Police arrested the grunt later that day and he was sentenced to death.

Clone Fett had finally chosen the few men that will go with him to Vergil, the troops were so worried that one was sick because of nerves. Fett had all his troops lined up on the worn out surface which troops did their training on, patches of dirt everywhere. Fett had a piece of paper with just 3 names on, these 3 men may not come back to their families.
Fett read out the first name;

Heal Cabi
He is an expert in heavy artillary and can carry 3 mounted guns, aswell as first aid

Lek'twi
He is an expert on stealth and can get in and out of any enemy base. (but he is worried that he may fail at Vergil)

Mon Calimari
He is incharge of all radio contact and can communicate to any ally

This time tomorrow Clone Fett, Heal Cabi, Lek'twi and Mon Calimari will be on their way to Vergil to investigate what happened to Dante LeonHeart and Kamon Shaddaa.

The shuttle had touched down on a private landing pad and as soon as Andra had walked onto the surface of the planet, the shuttle again took off, disappearing somewhere beyond the horizon to a destination unknown to her, but that was none of her concern. Were she in need of a quick escape from Gallinore, she would have no problem in finding one.

Making her appearance at the ceremony, she was noticed by few. And those people who had nodded a silent greeting didn't know who exactly she was, and they were just being polite. She had picked up a glass of champagne from a table full of glasses and casually walked around. Andra noted quite a few newer recruits, but she had yet to lay eyes on some of the more well known ones, especially Jerix Macor.

Walking around she had picked up odds and ends of various conversations, none too interesting until she heard the very distinctly the name 'Macor'. This had caused her to stop in her place and she quickly turned away from the group and admired an old suit of armor which had conveniently been placed there for display. Listening carefully she hadn't been able to pick up much of the conversation because they had kept their voices rather low, but she did manage to hear that he had taken his leave suddenly, not too long ago, that he was headed out towards his ship, that it must have been very urgent, and he was probably long gone by now.

That was all the information she needed. There was really no one else to keep an eye on here at the Ceremony, and she was gaining no knowledge on the aliens that were quickly becoming more and more of a problem. Leaving the edifice, she headed towards the adjoining landing platform where most delegates attending the Ceremony had arrived on. But after talking to one of the guards who was watching over the entire platform, she had found that no one had been given clearance to leave in the past few hours.

He's still here....but where? Andra offered a sweet smile to the guard and walked away, not exactly sure where to yet. If his ship is still here, and he's not at the ceremony, where else would he be staying. And then it hit her...where would alot of these delegates be staying for the night at least? The nearest hotel more than likely.

It was rather easy to find, and suprisingly easy to get into. All she had to say was that Mr. Macor had just commed her, and that he requested her presence immediately. The front desk clerk even offered a bellhop to show her the way to his room, but Andra declined and asked simply for the floor and room number, and just like that, she had his location.

With just a press of a button the door hissed open and she walked into a dark anteroom. But from the small amount of light seeping in from behind the curtains she could make out a figure lying in the large bed. The door hissed close behind her and she silently crept further into the room. And after a few moments of searching she had found nothing in the draws dresser, which wasn't entirely suprising because it hadn't looked like Jerix planned on staying long.

Eyeing a briefcase sitting next to the bed, she knelt down infront of it and began playing around with the lock trying to get it undone.

Jerix's one semi-active eyelid fluttered open. Even in a state of near sleep he remained somewhat attentive toward his surroundings.

There seemed to be an incredible volume of activity at the foot of the bed which had garned his attention. A person, a woman to be more precise due to the more slender figure, had begun rooting around in his personal effects something he, nor anyone else in the situation would take kindly to.

Constructing a method of confrontation in his mind, he raised his right leg soundlessly, bringing it up toward his chest, as if to @#%$ it and release it like a gun.

Release he did, firing his loaded leg straight into the lower back of the intruder, sending thier body clattering forward onto a set of dresser drawers.

With cat-like agility, Jerix lept from his prone position on the bed and up to the rear of the criminal, tightly wrapping his right forarm and left bicep firmly around thier neck and pushing forward, pressing down with most of his meaty frame. The leverage applied by the old army hold would down most assailants and render them unable to move.

"Don't move." he said, just in case the notion crossed thier minds.

"I can snap your kneck like a twig my dear.

What the hell do you think you're doing in here?"

He listened carefully for a few moments before a slightly muffled reply came. . .

After a few muted attempts she finally was able to force out somewhat of a response, though it was far from easy being that he was slowly crushing her larnax.

"I came.....to tell....you.....news....." She finally was able to get out. She was more than highly disappointed in herself. Things like this were an everyday part of her job, yet she had allowed herself to be caught, and now it left her in this dire position against someone who was twice her size. It would be better if she didn't resist for the time being, but once she was relieved of this particular hold, she could more than likely make her escape.
