"The dark side is the 'grass is always greener' sydrome. Looks good, feels good. The anger is it's own reward; you learn to love giving into it. But you end up a lonely, cold wretch."

Gash took a sip of the Ryloth brandy. It wasn't very good, in terms of flavour... something about the atmosphere content on Ryloth made alcohol that aged there spoil slightly. But it was a strong drink, with a kick like no other. The kind you drank to get drunk fast.

"But you've died? So that makes you... a clone, of some sort? Hmph."

Gash thought for a moment.

"I killed Recon Klain, you know. On Ziost, I mean... he asked me to do it. I don't know how, or why, but the man aged at a wicked pace. I stabbed a sword into his chest, and he transfered his spirit into a clone of that Qual Zaiso.

"Funny thing, he never showed any regret, at the time. But Recon was a lot more alone in the galaxy than you or I." Gash sipped the brandy. "If you don't want to do it again, then don't. The Ahnk I remember was mutilated and tatooed, to the point he barely resembled you. Take on a new name."

The Jedi Master drained the rest of his brandy, plunking the glass down on the table. He waved a hand at the bottle, pouring more of the golden liquid with the Force.

"But I'm guessing that would be too easy for you."

<font color="blue">I... I have felt the presence before. But... something is different. Not wrong. Different.

Brava had received Master Jiren's message long ago. His words had eased her mind and she was able to continue on with her meditation.

She had no need to respond back to him as she was sure he was taking care of whatever needed to be taken care of. She needed not to be concerned as there was nothing to be concerned for, at least not yet.

She silently continued on with her meditation, happy to be alone so that she could have her time to be with herself and the force.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Beware...<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> a darkness disturbed my mind, my essence was embodied around an aura of awarness. My physical entity was pirsperating intensely, my body twitching and convulsing in an uncontrolled spasm. The Force beckoned a warning to my conscience, subsiding in my awarness of the situation. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Beware... the creatures lurk...<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> A dark vision seemed to rise from the ashes of oblivion, the resemblance of the threat, a hideous creature that grew and fed of the Dark Force.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> This creature resides in the Force?<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> The question streamed through my senses, as my body slowly began return from it's convulsing state. The Force petitioned my answer. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> The creature resides in the Force... the Dark Force is it's life blood... beware... beware... BEWARE!<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

"NO!"

My breath was hoarse from such distraction, My respiratory system weakened and recovering from the near asthmatic spell. Sweat ran from my pores off my clothing, my bedspreads stained with a stench of anxiety... as my senses slowly restored themselves, I recalled the techniques taught to me from my second grandfather's Holocron, of restoring my spirit to it's physce. I ran myself through several of the healing techniques, acquiring the wanning energy the vision had stolen from me. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> The vision! I must alert master Jiren!<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> Indeed, so it appeared to me that the Rouge Jedi master would know what measures to take from such a foe.

As I quickly through on my robe and sashel, grabbing my lightsaber from off a mantle, hurried from my room inside the cathedral. The cool dense metal felt firm in my hand, an appendage when need be, and one that I felt confident and competant in wielding. I summoned senses beyond the mere mortal, and furthered my sphere of responsibility to the entire radius of the cathedral, searching for Jiren's presence. But what presences I felt besides master Jiren's shocked me. As I was casually strolling through the temple cooridors, I paused, a shoal of terror and hate looming over my senses.

The embodied emotions felt so radiated, that I peered over my shoulder, as if to attain the probable fact that death itself was stalking me. Only an eerie silence accompanied my stroll. I searched for the source of the emotions, and as the Force directed by footsteps towards the cathedral's top balconies, I felt, with much gratitude, the comforting presence of master Jiren. Yet, one feeling gnawed at my perceptions. The source from the radiating emotions of hatred and terror, though while disturbed my aura a great deal, did not feel to be the same presence as the vision mentioned... and while yet, this being, presiding with master Jiren's presence, did indeed feel sentient to me, the presence of the dream did not.

No, for in fact, the vision's occupant seemed for of a loathsome creature, a being who knew only dumb obedience and loyalty to it's master, knew no measures of perception, and yet, had no altering conscience. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Then there are two, or perhaps three seperate beings here?<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> I felt that the being alongside Jiren was most definetly the controlling force over the other presence, and yet... the vision's being seemed to be equally as powerful as it's master... unless there were more than one of these mindless drolls accompanying the master presence... a paradox.

I neared the top conduit of stone and marble stairs, and began an earnest, yet cautious approach towards master Jiren, and his accomplice. Stretching out my senses, I foresaw a chance to get a glimpse of the actual evil through Jiren's eyes.

My hand gripped the sheath of my weapon firmly, my knuckles whitenning under the preasure. I stretched my visual perceptions to allow the Force to guide my sight, and saw the shillouete of an evil I had never seemed the misfortune of looking upon. The mere mortal would simply see the physical forebodying details of the presence, yet through the Force, there were details I'd dare not to mention as my appearance of a gentlemen may be swayed.

One who is connected in mind and body through the Force, may actually see the Force in it's physical form. The Light Force appears to be everything that is good, wholesome, pure, everything that feels true in nature towards a being. The Dark Force however, appears in physical form to be exactly opposite, hatred, animosity, strife, conflict, anything that realatively feels wrong and abandoned in nature towards a being. The cries of souls lost, of demons from unknown depths from unknown realms, of terrors of the Dark Force, the lures of power, of riches, all these essences I felt and saw from the figure, and his power through the Force terrified me.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> There is no fear, there is courage.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> I continued my ascent.

OOC: *Claps* Wow. I don't understand it but wow! I'll edit this into an in character reply later today

"Yes... you were in the Ziost Empire... we must speak further regarding that order, however, I have news that concerns Xylon as well."
(He sighed, taking a long sip.)
"I've never liked the name Ahnk, to be honest. When I was 15, I entered a fighting tournament. My style was a mix of Jedi stretches and flips and rolls modified into offensive strikes, defensive hop ko hido and ju ra ju gagura throws suplexes and submission bars, and a few nasty street fighting suprises. My corner knew I was strong and adaptive but knew my style was odd and mostly fresstyle, so as my discipline, he suggested Ankh, mysterious freeform martials. I neither knew what a discipline was or how to spell Ankh. I decided he meant it to be my name, and I mispelled it on the entry form. It stuck with me... through the murders, drugs, rapes, assaults, roberies that I witnessed, and some commited to survive. Unable to speak I could tell no one my real name... irrelevant, as I neither remembered it or considered it to be mine own. Ahnk began to grow on me, become familar... but I never liked it."
(He sighed.)
"Andrew Micheal Rashanagok."
(He took a sip, his last sip, before he refilled his glass by hand.)
"Thats my name. And the name of my son."
(He watched Jiren digest the last comment and continued.)
"Yes, I left woman with child in this very facility... she was sick when I left... a sickness I came bear not to describe. Should I have such a sickness I would put my body in pyre and set myself afire. Oh, Seathern, the woes I see, the gashes I leave on time, my bloody mark on histroy...."

OOC: Dangels a playboy to get RJO's attention.

OOC- Playboy? MINE!

Gash chuckled and nodded.

"Don't call me Searthen. Gash is fine... Ahnk, Andrew no matter how black your mark on history, you can always leave it behind. We have a gift; as a Jedi, you could serve the Light as powerfully as you served the Dark."

He sipped a bit of the brandy.

"Ahnk isn't such a bad name, either. I suggest you continue to use it; don't bury your past within yourself. If you start doing that, one day, it'll come out."

"I don't know... it's a terribly large step. I came here because you were a Sith and are a Jedi... some day you realized that the violence and hate was too much..."
(He shook his head.)
"But I don't know that I would make a good Jedi... I'm a primed fighting machine, toned and shaped my entire life to fight. To suggest joining an order preaching pascifiscm it seems like a stretch."

Gash raised an eyebrow at Ahnk briefly.

"I've never preached pacifism. Jedi have a gift; it's a crime not to use it to protect others. That's the entire reason R.J.O. was formed; the Jedi Council have stopped being protectors."

(Ahnk blinked, thinking to himself for a second.)
"Then you would go to arms, in the interest of the greater good?"
  • Posted On: Jan 28 2002 5:31am
Gash spread his hands wide in an exhuberant gesture, by way of an expression of 'Why not?'.

"Is it really so surprising? The Jedi are protectors; they have a gift, and they have to use that gift to the best of their ability. The Jedi cannot be protectors when clinging to a Code written thousands of years ago, which they have misinterpreted grossly."

He paused.

"'Rogue Jedi Order' is a misleading name. My vision for the R.J.O. is a new galactic order, one of protectors. Like the Jedi Order of old. Not the useless new 'Jedi Council'."

(Ahnk looked at Gash. He looked down at his feet and nodded.)
"My intelligence tells me that you are staging a proactive attack on the New Order. I have for years desired the resources to do such a thing and only now do I have them. I will join you, on your capital cruiser, and my fleet will rendevous, and join us at Dantooine."
(He smiled at Gash.)
"Assuming my information is correct."
