Empire's Shadows: Daunting the Dark Side (Jaminere)
  • Posted On: Jan 29 2002 6:58am
The Rogue Empire had always prided itself in quick responses, and this time it was certainly needed. After the agreement of the allocation of forces by Fearsons, he ordered the immediate extraction of possible enemies. The Inner Sanctum of the Sith was the first enemy declared, and thus Rogue Imperial forces were emerging in their home system of Jaminere. With their full force committed to Dantooine, there was little hope they could have of withdrawing back to their planet to ward off a full Rogue Imperial attack force. Fearsons’ empire was given far too little credit.

The emperor, strangely enough, was not commanding from the Star Destroyer Disruptor, but rather the mighty seventeen kilometer Death’s Hand. It had recently taken massive combat damage at the Battle of Kessel, but was able to route the enemy and escape with their lives. Now it was being led on an epic crusade to crush the Dark Side.

Only recently the emperor had fought off a great Dark Side temptation, and regained his rights as a Jedi, and thus choosing to fight off the Sith under Ahnk’s command. They had betrayed the Republic, which was indeed a disgusting act. The art of deception can only work so far, but to actually gain someone’s trust and then stab them in the back with it moment’s later is a serious crime of humanity, not to mention a war crime. He’d claimed himself a Jedi Master! It was insulting.

“Sir we’re vectoring out of hyperspace now,” that blonde haired helmsman reported, the deepest, utmost respect toning in his voice.

“ETA to target?” Fearsons asked.

“Two minutes,” the helmsman confirmed, and the emperor responded with a simple nod.

The cerulean tunnel of hyperspace faded into entwining beams of white light, and then at immense speeds, a background of pitch black with little white, dotted stars. The planet too was now seen, with three shipyards working devotedly on war craft to be plummeted into battle. After reviewing the battle manifest of the Sith’s forces, it was quite insulting indeed, they named two ships after the noble emperor, how indeed frustrating.

“Sir we have enemy fighters inbound.”

“Excellent, let them come for us, the fighters have their missions, but launch them scarcely, we don’t want to waste too many,” Fearsons ordered. “Oh yea, and begin charging the super laser.”

“Super laser charging.”

“Excellent.” Ahnk could not fathom the power involved in this attack. Of course, through the Force, and through simple evidence, the lack of resistance here proved one thing. "Open a comms channel with the Republic at Dantooine."

"Aye sir," the comms man reported. Fearsons nodded and took the comm link, turning his back to the enlisted soldier.

"Attention Republic officials, it has been confirmed, repeat, it has been confirmed, this is a direct warning from the emperor, you are being set up for an ambush," he warned, and placed the item back down. Now he could focus on the attack. "Get the transports ready."

Siather watched the infinite colors of hyperspace once again. The Zealous Mist and the Tempest Mist once again would be fighting in the shadow of the mighty Death Hand. The only difference this time would be that the Tempest Mist would be fighting with the ESD rather then against it. The captured VSD mk I's new crew had yet to see combat but Siather was confident that they would prove competent.

Siather listened to the beep from his display counting down the exit from hyperspace. The count hit 0 and the swirling tunnel of hyperspace converted into elongated star lines and then into individual dots. Siather spotted the Death Hand off the port bow and watched as the Tempest Mist and other ships of the First, Second and Despayre Fleet dropped out of hyperspace around him.

"Raise our shields and start powering all weapons. Align us with the Death Hands' bow and order the Tempest Mist to do the same. Have Alpha and Beta TIE Fighter squadrons launched. Order Alpha to form a defensive screen in front of us. Order Beta squadron to form a defensive screen in front of the Tempest Mist."

The Zealous Mist and Tempest Mist started gliding gracefully forward the TIE fighters of Alpha and Beta squadron forming in front of them as they moved forward

Rear Admiral stood onboard the bridge of his proud vessel, the Hellfire, looking down on the peaceful world of Ghorman, which he had recently claimed in the name of the Rogue Empire.
"Sir, incoming transmission from the Death's Hand!" Ensign Gardena shouted to Visaqar.
'The Death's Hand? I wonder why they're contacting me.....' Visaqar said, then followed through with the command, "Onscreen!"

"Rear Admiral Visaqar, I am sorry but I must cut your vacation short. As you know, the Rogue Empire has been thrown into a large scale war, which we must win. I therefore require your Taskforce at Jaminere to supplement the Death's Hand, and I can't promise you anything, but after this, I will try my best to get you back to your wife. Emperor Fearsons, out."

Visaqar looked at Sergeant Rhymer, "Tell the others to recall their fighters and crews from the planet. We're going to Jaminere. ETA?"
Lieutenant Jefferson looked at his control board, and tapped a few buttons, making his computer calculate the ETA.
"We can be there within the day, Admiral."
"As soon as we have recovered everyone and everything, jump. Rhymer, tell the other ships to do the same."
"Aye, Sir." Rhymer replied.

(A moment later, she rose her head in a sigh.)
"It looks like you were correct. Exel's promise of successful secrecy was indeed premature. Your villip indicates at least three Rogue Empire fleets pooling at Jaminere. Their swiftness indicates that our Admiral was betrayed."
(Chang put a fist to his shoulder.)
"I will go immediatly."
(She stopped him with her words.)
"No. We remain safe here. Have Harrigan advance his plans and compliment him on the excellent choice of base. Should Emperor Fearsons claim Jaminere, it will not hinder our plans. You will proceed to Chandrilla as planned."
"And you, my Queen?"
(She smiled.)
"I will go to Dantooine."

Some questioned the reason Fearsons had brought such an impecable force to such a trivial planet for such a trivial deed. Perhaps it had something to do with intimidation, and perhaps it had something to do with the fact that these Sith needed to realize that Fearsons was serious about his plans.

Aboard the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Death's Hand<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, he was left with little choices left for this little course of action here. He had to spread amongst the Inner Sanctum planets like a wild plague, hovering so many forces around this mere planet was never a smart thing to do.

He peered down at the large comm station before, the image of Commodore Siather coming up. The Gand had proven himself time and time again already. "Commodore Siather you will stay here even when I leave, when Admiral Rashnak arrives, you and this task force will clear out the planet, then enforce a swift blockade, keep forces on the ground to maintane peace. If you have issues, contact me personally," Fearsons ordered. There was a nod on the holographic image.

"Yes my lord," the Gand responded. Fearsons then simply strode to the fire control. There was only one word he needed to mutter.

"Fire." The super laser, now fully charged, exited the enormous cannon, made an even green trail, and decimated the large shipyard, the loss of such a construction facilitiy was no easy loss. "Ok then, reroute our ships, we'll move onto the next."

The coordinates were being entered, and the large fleet, save Siather and Rashnak's forces, turned and began to leave the now worthless system.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Apparently the constant wars between minor factions had not ceased in this galaxy, the infidels were still plummeting head on into battle for no reason other than to defeat each other and prove a point. It was not entirely unlike the Yuuzhan Vong, but the Praetorite Vong had managed to rise up, and settle their differences, spanning on an intergalactic conquest over the galaxies. With the Yammosks leading the battles of the Praetorite Vong via telepathy or clean oral speaking to those that can understand it, they were not going to lose their conquest of this galaxy. It was too crucial, too vital. <!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"Yes Warmaster Zhin, we have routed out the infidels and heretics now, we await your order,"

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> the villip of Zcar Keman, a noble warrior indeed, reported to the warmaster.<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"What word have you from the heretics? Will they surrender?"

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Warmaster Zhin was highly interested in the capture and execution of the traitors to the Praetorite Vong that have sought assylam in the Inner Sanctum of the Sith. They were originally sent as war scouts, presumed dead after lack of communications, but when a coral skipper patrol had found them...hell was going to be paid...and then some.<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"No Warmaster Zhin, I...I apologize, they are refusing to surrender, they will not even make villip contact with us."

"No matter...we will begin by dispatching the infidel fleet around Jaminere, then when they are disposed of, we pluck up the planet, wash over them like a horrible flood my noble warrior,"

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> and with that Zhin closed the connection, letting his villip shut radically and without warning.<!--EZCODE BOLD END--> <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> So..you think you can hide from the Praetorite Vong? You merely chose our next destination of conquest you fools<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> The world ship had already echoed itself among the Jaminere system using their dovin basils, escorted by two of their awesome war craft, two light cruisers and a heavy cruiser, which was comparable to a Star Destroyer in length no doubt. Hundreds of Coral Skippers already surrounded the mighty world ship as it approached the Tempest and Zealous Mist. Already the majority of infidels' soldiers had left the system, very unwise indeed. Had that larger craft remained, they may have been able to destroy the world ship...if they were lucky.<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"You do not know pain, you do not know fear,"

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> the villip of Warmaster Zhin hissed over all the villips of all the coral skippers being plummeted into the Battle of Jaminere. The scowling face of the warmaster was enough to worry any pilot, but they also knew much glory would arise from this onslaught...this massacre. And a massacre is what it was going to be.<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

Siather stared seemingly calm out at the approaching ships. The crew was busy trying to communicate with the odd looking ships. They things must be that speices from outside our galaxy, the Yuuzhan Vong.

"Launch the rest of the TIE's and have them all form up in a defensive screen in front of us. We seem to be outgunned. We are going to have to try and hold them off until we get some support. Send a message to all TRE planets inform them we need support here. Bring us about to face the biggest of their group. Make it clear to all gunners and pilots that we are not going to fire on those things until we have backup or they fire on us whichever comes first."

OOC: Note that your "World Ship" is entirely at a residential mark, and that the "War-Class" will be the Vong's equivalent to the Death Star. Know that the matter is not debatable, and more than reasonable.

OOC Doesn't matter to me, all I ask is that we hallowed to CONSTRUCT defenses onto it, as if it were a planet, since that is our starting planet.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Zhin simply grinned as he saw the Rogue Imperial ships move into a defensive posture. The Yammosk had revealed to them that they were refusing to fire until fired upon themselves, which was in and of itself a stupid tactic, thus allowing them to move in and formulate quite a strategy with little to no conflict.

The Warship had activated its dovin basils, retracting immense gravity around the enormous craft, helping it move toward and closer to the infidels' ships.
<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> The enemy refuses to fire until fired on, encircle them and destroy, but only when completely encircled.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> <!--EZCODE BOLD START--> the Yammosk thought to its pilots, and the coral skippers were obedient.

The Rogue Empire was forced to encircle their fighters around the capital ship <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Zealous Mist<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, which is where their commander resided. If it was destroyed, there would be no hope for the battle. After the several warships and coralskippers fully engulfed the few in a residing circle, a possibl stand off manuever. More sound waves were sent off in a desperate attempt to contact the Yuuzhan Vong, but to no avail.
<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Fire!<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--><!--EZCODE BOLD START--> the Yammosk thought to the pilots, and immediately the forces activated their gravity wells, completely deactivating the Rogue Imperial shields on those TIE Defenders and TIE Advanced already engaging the coralskippers.<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"Ahhhhrgh!" <!--EZCODE BOLD START--> one of the Rogue Imperial pilots screamed as the plasma suddenly ended his pour, pitiful life. It was definitely a new record, only 5.0302 seconds to destroy a TIE Defender.

Soon a majority of the forces were screaming, complaining about how their shields had been lost so quickly. The Yuuzhan Vong had the upper hand.

Pyrael bolted upright in his cot. The hair tendrils he lay on vibrated with his sudden mood shift and turned to a dark hue of red, reflecting the great anxiety in Pyrael’s mind. Something outside, above the planet Jaminere, occurred. That something sent shock waves through the Force. He hadn’t felt shock waves of this magnitude since the Yuuzhan Vong shapers implanted his ability to wield the Force. The tsunamis felt like something eye-opening.

“Father,” the crazed Sith Knight/Yuuzhan Vong breed rasped. It was a strange first word to escape his mouth; but Pyrael knew it held more weight than most of his inconsistent babble.

A Shamed One carrying a dying amphistaff rushed into Pyrael’s room through the algae-mesh door. “My eminence,” the Shamed One knelt to the floor in honor. Pyrael was the guest of honor to the Inner Sanctum of Sith on their planet of Jaminere. He had been their guest for the past two months. In that time, Pyrael found out what the true operatives of the Inner Sanctum were… Yuuzhan Vong outcasts.

Shame on Pyrael, the surviving son of the Supreme Overlord Shimmra, that he be interacting with the lowest caste of the society; shame on Pyrael that he be using infidel machines; and shame on Pyrael that he be a heretic. Well, only the text-book warriors of the Yuuzhan Vong called him a heretic. Deep down, Pyrael knew his father accepted his way of life… after all, Pyrael was to take over the post of Supreme Overlord once his father passed away.

“Father, I feel you,” Pyrael continued, ignoring the concerned Shamed One. Somewhere outside in the space surrounding Jaminere, Lord Shimmra awaited.
