*Zark heard two explosions behind him and turned back to see Han grinning.*

"you owe me, Ekan."

*han grinnd some more.*

"Say, shall we get rid of these other Y wings? or keep talking?"

*Han manuevered his X wing, right behind another Y wing. He acquired his target, launched his torps, and it blew up, with brilliant light.*

"How's that for shooting, boys"? Han's voice was cocky.Almost too cocky.

*han looked back toward Zark*

"HEY! old timer, you gonna start shooting or do i need to help you out agian?" Han grinned some more, threw a thumbs up in Zarks direction, and went after some more Y wings.

"Oh, don't worry about me. I'll be fine."

*Zark smirked and went after a Y-Wing. He ducked, weaved, and dodged, but couldn't seem to get a missile lock. He let the force flow through him and banked hard left before the Y-Wing even did so himself. The panel beeped and Zark pressed down on the trigger. With a hiss the missile left it's launcher and slammed into the enemy Y-Wing, blowing it up in a brilliant flash of light.*

"WAHOOWWAA!!!"

*Zark followed after another Y-Wing, slowing down at times when it was close. Toying with it. Letting the pilot think he had a chance of getting away. Suddenly, Zark let full guns blaze out at the enemy Y-Wing, utterly destroying it.*

"Hey R5, how we doing?"

*The droid beeped a couple of the times and the translation flashed up on the panel.*

"Alright, see if you can fix it. Hold on back there. We gotta a little while to go yet."

*He caught site of a Y-Wing trying to sneak up on Han. He turned. pulled hard on the throttle, and slammed on the thrusters, shooting off to intercept the enemy fighter.*

"Han, it's about time I payed of that debt!"

*He switched to missiles and, being directly pointing towards the direction of the Y-Wing, the lock went off almost instantly. He fired and the fighter blew up, blinding Zark for a second. R5 started beeping.*

"Alright, good job, R5. Hang in there."

*Han grinned.*

"thanks bud."

*Han banked sharp left, and came behind a Y wing, which he dropped a missle into its side, shoving it sideways. doing so slammed it directly into another Y wing, causing them both to explode in brilliant light.*

"Yo, Gash, Target practice is fun and all, but when are we actually going to have a challenge. Also, i've been thinking. once we get twelve of us, we should start Rogue Squadron. Rogue JEDI Squadron, that is."

I'm almost as good as a pilot as my cousin Luke....Nah, not that good, but I'm getting there. He had tons of friends in his squadron, to help feed his ego, I'm quite sure that Zark can help me with that bit.

*With that, Han did a barrel roll and moved on to fight off more Y wings.*

ooc:just a sidenote it takes a R7 for a E-wing but you can't use it for a x-wing. The reason Q9 can fly a x-wing is 'cause he's a advanced astromech module that changes himself and a droid piloting brain was the newest one

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Corran was happy to be back in the cockpit. Up ahead to the right he could see a half squadron of Tie-Wings a combination of Tie Fighters and Y-wings. But Corran didn't think of them as Tie-Wings he thought of them as Die-Wings. The Pilots hqad no shields and had the manuverability problems of a Y-wing. Corran set his lasers on triple fire and Q9 set his on quad fire. From the maximum distance the opposing fighters began shooting at them. But Corran and Q9 were jinking asnd juking so much that they could touch them. Then they were past them. Corran and Q9 did a quick half loop and inverted putting them right behind the Tie-Wings Then they slowed their speed to match the Tie-Wings. Once they had slowed their Speed sufficiently. Q9 started on the starboard side and Corran on the Port They each shot down 3 Tie-Wings before they met in the center. Then they were past the debris and on looking for more targets. Suddenlly there was a jolt. Quickly punching up his rear sensors told him the problem. While they'd been taking out the Tie-Wings 2 Tie Interceptors had dropped in on the rear. Corran immeaditly opened a comm channel to Q9.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
"Q9 decelerate hard try to force him to overshoot." said Corran
<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> With those words both fighters decelerated. The type of move that was designed to throw off a young inexperienced pilot. But it didn't work so Corran once again opened a comm channel with Q9.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
"Split up and then meet back here so we can dust these Squints." said Corran
<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> He received a beep inn reply. Then Q9's ship curved away still jinking and juking as did Corran's ship. They both led their admirers in a long lazy turn and then went on a head to head with each other. Suddenly they began firing. There lasers at each other but they werer missing them each other and hitting the Tie's.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
ooc:Gash just how many fighters are there we've taken out 19 know

OOC: Good enough.

Gash could only watch the epic conflict from the bridge of the Hermes. It was an abbreiviated view, but quite sufficient for him to understand the events occuring. The Rogue Jedi Order forces were gelling quite well; in fact, Gash had never seen so few fighters eliminate quite so many. His personal squadron of I-7 Howlrunners had shot down a similar number to that which Blue Squadron had, though slightly lesser. As had the TIE Banes.

What was catching Gash's eye now was the conflict between the massive warships. Barrages of fire were exchanged, as the Jedi Master barked out orders to his crew and the crews of the Dreadnaughts. Soon enough, the first Dreadnought's shield's collapsed. The Hermes capitalized, as Gash used it's far superior speed to jet in, and strafe the ship. In addition to striking a reactor and destroying it, they hit the bridge with several green splinters of turbolaser fire. That Dreadnought was permanently crippled.

The next ship fell in spectacular fashion, as the shields fell and a massive fury of turbolasers bolts tore it apart. The gigantic craft began to spin as the unrelenting assault ripped off more metal shards and ionized durasteel, until it exploded right at the center point, splitting the ship into two charred, blackened phantasms of hulls.

Three of the Corellian Corvettes fell, one in an explosion, one crippled, and the other partially destroyed and opened to the ice-cold vaccuum of space by several smaller blasts.

Back on the bridge of the Hermes, Gash turned and began to stride from the head of the metal beast.

'Gash?'

"I am going groundside. Hopefully, I can find Denti."

'Right.'
* * * *

One ride on the Crimson Blade II later, the Rogue Jedi Master was stepping off his shuttle and onto the moist ground. Asthentia was warm, heavy, humid like someone had boiled a massive pot of water all over the tropical paradise.

Gash had landed in the courtyard of the Great Castle, and promptly leapt into speeding action. He sprinted, full tilt and as fast as his muscles could carry him with the aid of the Force towards the castle. He almost didn't notice that all around him, somewhat startled by the ship landing in their midst but fighting none the less, were hundreds of troops. Half seemed to be dressed in the characteristic robe and cloak garment of the Asthentian armed forces. Blaster shots ricocheted all around Gash.

The Jedi Master whipped out his lightsaber, stopping several bolts from hitting him. Without hesitation, he slashed open the door of the castle and continued running. Past the halls, into the main court...

To a sight he wished he'd not seen.

Lying on the floor with a cauterized slash across her neck, was his mother. He rushed to her side, placing his hand on her wrist...

Dead.

Stone cold dead. And the wound was distinctive. Only one weapon made that sort of cut. A lightsaber. Gash stood, turning to face the way he'd come, to see a smirking, swaggering Joruck Denti.

'Well, hello, Gash. My, how you've grown older since I last saw you...'

"As have you. Uglier, as well... my trapping you in the phostosil mine didn't treat you well, I see."

The man sneered, bringing up a lightsaber he seemed to have contructed and igniting it to show a red blade. Gash readied his own saphire blade. 'No, it didn't.'

"So, a lightsaber? Have you moved up to play with the big boys, Joruck?"

'Yes, indeed I have, Gash.'

"Good."

Denti leapt towards Gash, as the Jedi Master transferred the saber to his right hand to block. The fingers of his prosthetic left hand grew their talons once again.

The two lightsabers met. Denti seemed to have constructed his well enough, and learned enough of the Force to make the weapon function properly. Gash countered low and left, only to be blocked. He kicked Denti's feet out from under him with his right leg, simultaneously slashing the man's arm with his taloned prosthetic.

Droplets of blood splattered the floor as several Asthentian guards rushed into the chamber. Most immediately bowed on bended knee to Gash. The ones who didn't, soon did so, recognizing their Prince.

"Stay there!"

Joruck leapt five feet into the air off of the ground with the aid of the Force, and Gash once again slashed at him. Left, right, left, low, high... the Jedi Master fell into a rhythm, and Denti began to sweat. Even as they fought, Gash spoke.

"Well, what is it, Denti? Where'd you meet the pirates? On Nar Shadda? At some Sith palace? That would explain the lightsaber."

'I'll... never... tell....'

Joruck was beginning to falter. The blood lost on his arm's wound slowed him down also. With a quick sideways slash, the lightsaber flew out of the pirate's hand.

"You've been after the throne ever since you were a Duke here. I let you away once; you returned. This time... no redemption. No release. Goodbye, Joruck Denti."

Gash twisted the handle on the lightsaber, switching the inner workings away from the saphire focusing jewel and over to the diamond. The blade elongated, and turned from blue to white. The Jedi Master thrusted the saber out, into Joruck's chest, through his heart. With a gurgle, the smell of ionized organic material filled the room, and Denti fell down, blood oozing from his mouth and the wound.

Gash shook all over as his comm unit rang.

"Yes?"

'They're retreating, sir. They seem to be leaving the planets on shuttles, boarding the last two enemy ships.'

"Let them go. Denti is dead; this conflict is over." Gash sneered to the corpse at his feet.

Out of the congregation of guards surrounding the room, stepped General Dryland, ragged and with his left arm in a sling, but looking healthy otherwise.

'Searthen! What- oh, no...'

The General's eyes strayed to the two corpses on which Gash stood; his mother's, and Denti's. Gash shook his head slowly, tears forming in his crimson red eyes.

"I'm sorry, General. I didn't get here in time to save her... I took Denti's life shortly after he took her's."

Dryland nodded sadly, as Gash called over Denti's red lightsaber with the force. The weapon entered his hand quietly, and Gash flicked off his own saber, clipping both swords to his belt.

'Searthen... you are the crown Prince-Master... and...' The man dropped to one knee, a tear falling silently from his bowed face to the ground in memorium of the Queen. Gash's mother.

"What is it?"

The General's head came up to stare at Gash. 'You are now... King-Master Searthen.'

A hearty cry of 'Long live the King!' rose up from the guards surrounding the room. Gash looked about, bewildered. Then he nodded quietly.

"Then I officially put Asthentia under Rogue Jedi Order rule."

The guards cheered, and Gash put his arm's built-in comm to his mouth. He set it to broadcast to all of his forces. "All RJO and NR forces may stand down. Let the pirates go. I regret to announce my mother has been killed in the struggle... I have been placed as king of Asthentia. The Rogue Jedi Order now possesses my home planet; good work. New Republic ships, you can go back to Corellia... Blue Squadron, land, and we can celebrate."

Another cheer rose up from the guards, as D31 mumbled sarcastically onto the channel, 'Long live the king... pfft...'

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Corran heard Gash's message and immeaditly went to ground. Trying to ignore the carnage around him he walked over to Gah.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
"I hear you are King know. Does that mean I have to bow to you also?" he said
<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Then he saw Gash was crying. Looking at the Ground he saw a woman who resembeled Gash alot. This must be his mother he thought.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
"Gash I'm sorry" he said
<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> With that he left Gash alone with his subjects and his mother.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

"I know how you feel, almost, Gash. My entire family has disappeared from my home planet and i can only fear the worst. The only thing of concelation i can tell you, is that even though it hurts so much now, it will slowly go away. The good news is that the Rogue Jedi Order has control of this planet, adn you our not only our leader but the leader of this planet."

*han dropped to one knee honoring Gash*

"King Jiren, what is it you wish us to do next?"

*Zark had also heard Gash's message and manuevered his E-Wing away from the now fleeing Y-Wing he had been in the middle of a dogfight with.*

"Almost had him, too."

*He flew down through the planets atmosphere and landed with a hiss. He opened the cockpit and shut down the systems. He helped R7(Thanks Corran, Gash told me over AIM it was a R5 unit for an E-Wing) out and started walking towards the castle. The smell of blood and death was still obvious. Many corpses lined the ground of both sides.*

*R7 followed behind Zark as he opened the gate doors and soon came to the spot where Denti had killed Gash's mother and was killed by Gash Jiren himself. He dropped to one knee next to Han.*

Gash looked at the three kneeling Jedi incredulously. He waved a hand at them, motioning for them to stand.

"Get up, you three. That's my first decree- no more kneeling to the King. I don't believe in reverence of monarchs."

Slowly, and curiously, the guards throughout the room stood, glancing sidelong at one another, wondering what sort of a blasphemer this King-Master was.

"We shall have a feast, to honor friends past, foes vanquished and heroes emerged. For now... let's put cares aside."

And so they did. Asthentia became one of the Rogue Jedi Order's member planets, and the people there feasted on that day, eve to midnight. Gash's mother was burned in a funeral pyre, and her ashes scattered in the Tiferia Sea, the largest body of water on Asthentia.
