You don't even listen to music Dolash.

If you're calling classical pieces "just pretty sounds" you clearly take a very superficial view of a very complex art form.

Yeah, pretty much. If it sounds good, it's good music.

And I listen to SOME music, just not much.

What'd Theren Geval's theme song be like?

Sometimes you just piss me off Dolash.

It's pretty @#%$ stupid of you guys to bash someone else's music tastes just because they don't match your own... some people judge music by how complex it is or difficult to play... some people (like myself) judge music by how it sounds... most of the music I like is probably not that difficult... but music is made to sound good... music is subjective... you're not gonna convince someone that the type of music they like is bad just because you don't like it... let people listen to what they want to listen to and just agree to disagree...

. . . I like country. . .

Although I'll really listen to anything that catches my ear. I've noticed I tend to go more from song to song than artist to artist- people ask me *who* I like to listen to and I have trouble giving them an answer. *shrugs*

But whatever floats your boat.

I have no real clue what Kahn's theme song would be, though for some reason I'm thinking of Broadway by the Goo Goo Dolls. I checked my country songs (I don't have that many even) and couldn't find anyting fitting, so yeah. Again, note this doesn't mean I necessarily listen to anything else by them- heck, I usually don't even know the artists of the songs I like unless I bother to pay special attention when I open up MusicMatch Jukebox to play 'em on the computer.

Hmm, and also Help Me by Nick Carter. . .NO, I don't listen to his music, before anyone gets any ideas or decides to engage in futher flaming. . it just seems to fit Kahn, so sue me, I have no money, so you'll get NOTHING!!

Maybe Perfect by Simple Plan too. . .but I'm too lazy to bring up lyrics for it.

Broadway

Broadway is dark tonight.
A little bit weaker than it used to be,
Broadway is dark tonight.
See the young man sitting in the old man's bar,
Waiting for his turn to die.

The cowboy kills the rockstar,
And Friday night's gone too far.
The dim light hides the years
On all the faded girls.

Forgotten but not gone
You drink it off your mind
You talk about the world
Like it's someplace that you've been.

See you'd love to run home,
But you know you ain't got one
'Cause you're living in a world
That you're best forgotten
'Round here. . .round here.

Broadway is dark tonight.
A little bit weaker than you used to be,
Broadway is dark tonight.
See the young man sitting in the old man's bar,
Waiting for his turn to die.

You choke down all your anger
Forget your only son
You pray to statues when you sober up for fun.
Your anger don't impress me
The world slapped in your face
It always rains like hell on the loser's day parade.

See you've love to run home
But you know you ain't got one
'Cause you're living in a world
That you're best forgotten
When you're thinkin' up a joke
And nobody's gonna listen
To the one small point I know they've been missin'
Round here

(Chorus)

(Repeat chorus)

Help Me

I wish I could define
All the thoughts that cross my mind
They seem too big for me to choose
I don't know which ones to use

When I've fallen down so far
I think I'll never see your light
Bouncing off of me
Shining down here from your eyes

Help me
Figure out the difference between
Right and wrong, weak and strong
Day and night, where I belong and
Help me
Make the right decisions
Know which way to turn
Lessons to learn
And just what my purpose is here.

It's like I've got the signals crossed
With messages I can't decode
Half-asleep never wide awake,
I'm going complete overload
I got so much information here
And nothing I can really grasp
I should know the truth
But I feel afraid so I have to ask

(Chorus)

Wanna know you
And more than anything
I need you
In my every dream you're there for me
You love me, for who I am
No angel, just an ordinary man.

Help me figure out why I'm stuck in the middle
Tryin' to understand why, I can't quite
It's such a riddle
Got my eyes crossed
Thinkin' so hard and I know I'm missin' the mark

Can you help me sort out
All this information
I'm just wrackin' my brain
Payin' attention
But I'm still lost
And at all costs
I (I) I gotta know (I gotta know)

(Chorus 2x)

I would have to choose something harsh and agressive by Trent Reznor (aka, Nine Inch Nails) as I find many of his tunes condusive to writing posts in the Beff-ish context. Possibly just slip on a compilation of Halo cuts, and enjoy.

Or perhaps some obscure hip-hop from the RhymeSayers Label, or Def Jox, Anticon maybe, Sweatshop Union's "Human Race", Brother Ali... Eyedea...

I just tune in on far too many good beats. Say what you will, just be educated about it.

Kahn, since I seem to remember your character being sorta lovetorn and you like country, what about "Please Remember Me" by Tim McGraw?

When all our tears have reached the sea
Part of you will live in me
Way down deep inside my heart
The days keep coming without fail
A new wind is gonna find your sail
That's where your journey starts

You'll find better love
Strong as it ever was
Deep as the river runs
Warm as the morning sun
Please remember me

Just like the waves down by the shore
We're gonna keep on coming back for more
Cause we don't ever wanna stop
Out in this brave new world you seek
Oh, the valleys and the peaks
And I can see you on the top

You'll find better love
Strong as it ever was
Deep as the river runs
Warm as the morning sun
Please remember me

Remember me when you're out walkin'
When the snow falls high outside your door
Br Late at night when you're not sleepin' And light falls across your floor
When I can't hurt you anymore

You'll find better love
Strong as it ever was
Deep as the river runs
Warm as the morning sun
Please remember me

Please remember me

Seeing as Khan and Ren took two of my Choices:

Black Sabbath (Paranoid)
Goo Goo Dolls (Broadway is Dark Tonight)

I must resort to the following:

NIN - Hurt (As done by Johnny Cash)

I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
The only thing that's real
The needle tears a hole
The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
But I remember everything

What have I become?
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end
You could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of thorns
Upon my liar's chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair
Beneath the stain of time
The feeling disappears
You are someone else
I am still right here

What have I become?
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end
You could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

I feel it shows distinctively the differances between the Heir Raktus that made a name for himself in the corporate competitions against Vinda Corp and the current Raktus that rules Dameo...

Pearl Jam - Do the Evolution

Woo..
I'm ahead, I'm a man
I'm the first mammal to wear pants, yeah
I'm at peace with my lust
I can kill 'cause in God I trust, yeah
It's evolution, baby

I'm at piece, I’m the man
Buying stocks on the day of the crash
On the loose, I'm a truck
All the rolling hills, I’ll flatten’ em out, yeah
It's herd behavior, uh huh
It's evolution, baby

Admire me, admire my home
Admire my song, here's my coat
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
This land is mine, this land is free
I'll do what I want but irresponsibly
It's evolution, baby

I'm a thief, I'm a liar
There's my church, I sing in the choir:
(hallelujah… hallelujah…)

Admire me, admire my home
Admire my song, admire my clothes
'Cause we know, appetite for a nightly feast
Those ignorant Indians got nothin' on me
Nothin', why?
Because, it's evolution, baby!

I am ahead, I am advanced
I am the first mammal to make plans, yeah
I crawled the earth, but now I'm higher
Twenty-ten, watch it go to fire
It's evolution, baby
Do the evolution
Come on, come on, come on

Well, come on, its got to be the most befiting Dameun progression song there is that I would have heard....

Hurt by Nine Inch Nails, covered (and how!) by Johnny Cash, originally composed and written by Trent Reznor.

Should'a mentioned me as one'a them that stole your picks. Sheesh, I'm feeling unloved here.
