Kamon, back off. You two may disagree over Ceel and TGC, but you don't need to reduce yourself to throwing mud and being overtly crude.

My word...

... actually...

Your words!

One:

You all give Ceel way too much credit. That, or you don't give him enough. Either way, you talk about a guy who isn't even taking the time to post a live reply in the thread that has, mostly, found itself discussing him. They say there is no such thing as bad press; and that you can stroke the ego all day.

Two:

The Rebel Faction is what it is because of where it came from. Where it goes in the future will likely be dictated by where we've gone in the past. We are unique and special. We have a million things that cannot be reconciled with any other Star Wars community without loosing the idenity we all cherish so deeply.

Three:

Star Wars Fandom is dying off? Gee. I wish someone would have told me that. Going strong since the 70's and now, suddenly, it's in danger? I think no. The idea that it is in some sort of decline is not only proposterous, it devalues the time and energy of a devoted mass that has lived, and will live, far beyond this moment. Not one of our little communities has the strength of numbers, nor the reach of media, that Ceel and others seem to think they have. Even if every community mentioned above were to suddenly close up shop the genre would still be every bit as strong.

I hear that baseball and apple pie are on the way out too...

Four:

...something to do about riding horses.

I'm thinking this thread should be closed before this thread degenerates further....

By the way, Ceel is copying everything said in this thread over into his "more geniuses that hate us" thread on TGC.

Edit, deleted a lot of stuff that will just get distorted in the copy.

So you're saying if we post in this thread, we'll get put on TGC?

Dear TGC,

Hi guys! Its Zark! I think Danster is there, and Amalia, and maybe a couple other people I know.

How are you? I hope you're doing well. I'm good, finally getting back into RPing. If you've known me in the past you know I wasn't exactly the most dependable when it came to that. ;) Well, I gotta go. I just wanted to say hi.

Love,
Zark

I think Star Wars fandom is declining from an all time high during the release of the first prequel. After it came out and people realised they were shit the initial fervour wore of some, but I imagine it's stablised by now. Nonetheless I think efforts to form closer ties between boards like ours (you're affiliated to my board already BTW) is very welcome. Just because so many people have issue with Ceel doesn't mean we don't all have shared interests in attracting RPers and SW fans to our communities.

Well, who says that the board unification has to be on TGC? If so many people don't want to go back to that community or be near it's member(s), then we could just have the board situated somewhere else. Personally, I would be in favour of having it either here on TRF, where the rules are very lax, or possibly even create an entirely new board dedicated to the unity of all the old boards.

Kraken is right. There is no reason this needs to become a Ceel/Anti-Ceel thread. It's more important then one person that we don't like.

You tell me to back off? Wow, Kas... wow. She started it, I finished it. End of story.
