Yeah say what makes us unique etc. Though i feel it should be graphic oriented very much so, it can attract to much more attention in the world now over anything with text etc.

Sw-Fans.net is interested in being included in the links directory.

I would think, also, to be included in the links directory, that the board in question should not be actively flaming other boards that are included in the directory. That's just bad for business for everyone. What you do in a private forum is one thing, but if you have a thread in the open bad mouthing a fellow SW board then it would go against the spirit of good faith that formed the links directory.

Well I am not aware of any such flame thread on TGC currently. The only flame threads around I believe are the unity threads so I dont have to worry about such. But everyone agree that it needs to be graphic based and not text?

DeVille's(capital V?) example of a graphic and text hybrid would work best.

In my mind, important information would include:

The Board Name
The Date The Board Was Founded
The Name Of Staff Members
A Link To A Greeting Forum, If The Board Has One

Then a short, paragraph blurb about the board in general.

I think that it should be graphic based. If we were going to pick just one look, maybe everyone who wants to should mock up a design and then we can all vote. :)

edit: ha 100 posts! I pwn you TRF! :P

I think it should be up to the overall tone of each board as to if it's text or graphics based.

SW: Evolution
here to for referred to as SWE, has interest in this as well.

Reason why not just text is because text does not grab anyone's eye.

I think we should all have 500x60 banners and then a board description/mod list along with standard little link buttons. Beyond that, it should be up to the local administrators to get the page to fit in on their boards. It would also be cool to have a different style sheet for each board represented on the links page (board submitted, of course). A way to fly colors, so to speak.

But what if the submitted graphics just plain don't look good on all boards? The boards should have the right to simply use the accompanying write ups and links instead.

We need to specify if we're talking about the design for the separate links directory, or ones hosted by the individual boards. Y'all are confusing me.
