Rather amazed that no one seems to have noticed...

The entire arm isn't done yet Dolash, we only have 11 of the required 20 Watchers. So parts of the arm are down.

I must be missing something.

When did R&D come into this? I thought this was simply natural phenomenon that Dolash was 'reporting'...

No, my "Watcher" R&D was approved. Twenty of them have the combined interdiction power to block off an entire galactic arms' worth of space. Say, the arm which the Azguards reside in, known as Wild Space. Since very few people live there anyways, I figured no one would care.

We have eleven watchers, meaning over half the arm is now in an interdiction field.

And Theren, if you don't like it I understand, but its' not THAT powerful. Both BDE and Cree'Ar have alternate hyperspace systems so both of them can still get through, and the Empire could probably pierce it if they found the right codes or did something sneaky.

Link me.

I can't imagine approving something like this...

I understand though why Gue would have approved it without a care if it didn't apply to him. Ahnk also, although i don't imagine he would have been that self centred...

Well, it is wild space, not too many people have country houses there.

You realize we can just revoke it with a vote right Dolash.

Hence why i asked for the link.

And Kas, that kind of thinking is the type that allowed chadd to manipulate the rules as long as he did. While Dolash may be more trustworthy than that sack of @#%$, we cannot allow an uber (and what looks to be unfeasable) peice of technology to stand, simply on Dolash's word that he won't misuse it.

And irregardless of that fact, my point still stands regarding the made up resource. Nice work Kas and Ahnk on Staff solidarity by ignoring that, but Dolash, if you're using aluminimum to do it, what properties does Al have that allows said occurence?

My money is on none.

Lup, the made-up resource clause only applies to making duplicates of existing items. Eg: Bacta, and specifically applies only to planets. It was created to prevent Xilen from ruining Kanbal's rather sloppily thought out monopoly way back when.

Kanbal took the 7th planet in a system that produced whatever crud he was monopolizing, and never bothered with the other six planets. When Xilen started to take them Kanbal called foul, and said Xilen couldn't take them because they were not actually named in any official resource, their only mention being that they existed, and that the planet Kanbal owned was the 7th.

After that, this rule was made up to keep canon resources on their canon planets.
ยท Planets can not be created that have rare and valuable resources attributed to them. This includes Bacta, Carbonite, etc.

I have no problems with Dolash building a bunch of super big interdictor-type thingies to impede progress in his arm of space. It's not like he's going to put them around the Core, and declare that part of space impenetrable, and then use Hyfe's golden throne for a toilet. As I see it, there is little room for abuse here; anything beyond what the R&D has been designed to do wouldn't be allowed.

Upon re-reading the R&D, I have however spotted a flaw. It uses essentially the same method as Isstal tried using a little while back, it wipes data off of a specific computer system. Isstal was denied his tech, if I recall correctly.

Like I said, I have no problems with an interdictor-like effect (eg: impeding progress) but I do have problems with energy waves being surgical in what computer systems they nuke.

I wasn't thrilled with it, but I gave it a vote because Kas did, and Kas is meticulous and anal.

I am losing faith in Kas as a check or a balance.

As well Lup, he removed his stupid made up resource, and that was basically your only problem with it, so I assumed it had your approval too.

My comment Beat You To It was in refferance to both myself and Gue being able to defeat traditional interdiction fields. That was basically all the R&D did, but the Empress shoot out your lights thing, which I didn't like in the slightest and assumed was removed.
