Isn't there a system for Force Rank Submissions?

OS says the FC deemed there not to be enough IC activity to justify the rank and Kamon says there is. This is an easy fix for in the application, doesn't the applicant have to submit the links to those threads?

I would imagine those rp's would be recent rp's and not rp's from 5 years ago.

Just locate Kamon's Application thread in the OOC forum. Any appeal to a Force Council decision would refer back to the application thread and the links contained therein. So, is there one?

OS represents only one vote on the FC. One out of four, I believe, so theoretically, there can even be a tie.

However, instead of appealing, now you are stating you are leaving TRF. This is confusing to me as we had (I thought) a pretty cool rp we were going to start soon. Now you're leaving.

Why should the Force Council do anything now? You're leaving. Even if you threatened to leave, I can see the Force Council not moving because now, how can they grant anything under threat? If they caved under threat, it tells members (newbies and veterans alike) that all they have to do is threaten to leave and they get what they want.

On principle, this is not supported. And I've seen people do this time and again as they opt to shoot their cause in the foot by the threat rather than asking for an appeal with supporting links or arguement. By attacking the person and not the issue, you are basically informing people that you have no issue.

Personally, if I was to submit my Sith character to be a Sith Master, I fully expect to be denied as I have not developed that character to the point he needs to be for such rank. For my budding Jedi character and my Sith character, to obtain rank I will have to go through the submission process like everyone else. And the FC will look at the links supplied and make a determination as to my character's acceptability or not. It is good to remember that the simple passage of time does nothing to add to a character's acceptability. I've played my Sith and Jedi for years..the budding Jedi character being my first roleplaying character ever come onto this SW scene at TGC. But I do not always rp them and so, after all these years, the character themselves progress much slower than, say, my Simon Kaine character. The importance of IC activity cannot be stressed enough.

And, come on, Kamon. The reason you do not have rp development is because your character was captured? How many times are Jedi captured in the course of the movies and books and they escape? The only thing missing was your escape rp. I believe you left TRF after you were captured and then came back after a year or a year and a half and then wrote the escape rp. So the reason for the lack of development for the character during these times was not that the character was captured but that you were not at TRF. I like you man but don't ask me to buy that.

Anyway, if you do not like a decision appeal it. Reference your Rank Submission thread with links to your IC activity pertaining to the character. Then the responsibility is on the FC to read those threads and make an informed decision.

If you do not have a Rank Submission thread, then why not? ALL Rank Requests are supposed to have them and if you do not have the rp info linked, all the FC has to go on is their memory of force power misuse and the like of the past.

It's over now, man. I'm not dealing with the beaurocratic crap. As I said, I'm going somewhere better. Somewhere new. Somewhere with people that actually give two shakes about me.

Not that I don't like you, Om. I do. I'm just sick of people like OS and Ahnk. Ahnk because of the crap he said to me on AIM, OS because of the crap she told to someone who told that to me. So whatever. I'm already a Master at the new place so why should I care about TRF?

So your concern isn't about the respect of the community or story writing, it's about your e-peen.

See ya.

I've expressed my concerns. Those concerns were the fact that there was a Force council that decided you were worthy to be a Master, not the leaders of your faction. The fact that there's way too much hazing going on. The fact that TRF has become a place for power hungry people (note I don't exclude myself). The fact that people don't help out those that need writing help half the time (in regards to chasing away newbies). Oh, and the fact that TRF is becoming all but dead because no one posts. As I said, half the threads in the battlegrounds are by a handful of people and their alts. So, yeah. Ishara, Xilen, and myself pointed out the problems. Good luck fixing them though. *waves* I've better things to do, like write a post for this other place and write posts for yet another.

Man, I'm so tired of being the evil sherrif around here. Kamon, would you please just fuck off already? No one here wants you here. The fact that OS and I are the only ones who tell you as much doesn't mean that everyone else feels the same way. Seriously, go have a fucking cry fit for Jade and shut the fuck up.

Being a Master is for fucking pussies. Why would you want to be a Master? I've been a Knight for like six years, and I don't want to be promoted. I get to blow shit up, Masters just sit around and think about stuff.

How many "I'm leaving" threads does he have now?
