Try to edit your post or you may need to recopy and paste again and set the code from html to bbcode maybe.

Edit:  Actually, those code options are not available for the battlegrounds.  Just the News section.

round two was worse. I think my Kingston writer dosn't play nice with the new TRF.

ok round 3... I copied it from Kingston to an RTF. that got rid of the code but now the text runs off the screen.

Hit "Source" button first before pasting.  That is what I did to correct the "off the screen" look.

When posting, there are a couple of paste options. As Omnae said, you can hit Source and paste in. That will strip out any non-bbcode formatting. There's also standard pasting which is just the usual ctrl-v or right-click paste -- when you do this the editor will attempt to maintain any formatting that the source text had, which as you can see sometimes gets all weird. It really depends on what editor the text came from, and how it formats things.

In the toolbar there's also 'Paste as Text', which I believe should be the same as hitting Source and then pasting, but without the extra step.

Lastly there is a plugin for 'Paste from Word' that I haven't enabled for the standard forum reply editor, that is supposed to handle MS Word's oddball styling. I can enable that at some point, it might help when pasting from Kingsoft.

I'd appreciate that last option; I do most of my writing in OpenOffice using MS Words formatting, which results in me reformatting my posts.  I'm pretty sure several other TRFers use similar programs too...

I have enabled Paste From Word, it is the last button in the paste section when replying to a thread. Give it a try and let me know how it works. Here's a quick test from my end:

Here is a test bold. Here is bold italic. Here is italic. Underline. Strikethrough.
