"Admiral Blackblade? The fleet is prepared."

"Thank you you Josef. Is our 'cargo' prepared also?"

"Of course sir."

Admiral Blackblade turns to the bridge pit of the Super Star Destroyer, his Super Star Destroyer.

"Comms? Signal fleet to enter hyperspace, and remind them, precision is everything."

And as the Abyss Fleet moves off, the Admiral silently wonders how well his first fleet command action will go. Brilliantly of course, he scolds himself, why would they give you a fleet if you werent capable?

**********************************************

"Sir? We are approaching our target."

Dakon is snapped out of his silent reverie.

"Signal troops to action stations."

As soon as the fleet arrives, the control havoc caused is pleasing to all commanders in the fleet. 2 of the 3 System Patrol craft are destroyed within 20 seconds of arrival by turbo laser fire while the third is destroyed 5 minutes and 29 seconds by TIE Interceptors from the fleets flagship Death's Hand, well within plan contingancies.

Suddenly an enemy TIE fighter squadron is released from the defences. The Admiral, a star fighter tactician spots this just before the sensor operators report in.

"Launch 2 squadrons of TIEs, one from each hanger. Order them to engage threat, but as soon as it is destroyed, order them to return and from an extremely close fighter screen in front of fleet. How goes the mission critcal craft?"

"87% launched sir, estimated time til completion 1 minute."

Blackblade smiled. He knew how long it would take, but it was a good sign that his crew were helping more than asked, it showed high morale.

"Dakon, it goes well. We seem to have caught them with their pants down, losses are negligable."

"Yes Josef, but we aren't finished yet..."

"Task completed sir!" The helmsmen interupted.

The crew watched as hundreds of small probelike craft streaked away in direction of the planet.

"Recall the fighters, and tell them a job well done. Begin withdrawl under Emperor Directive Alpha Echo Niner."

Immediatly the fleets support ships, quickly followed by the lighter capital ships, turned away, each tracking a different hyperspace vector. Once the support ships enter hyperspace the fleets destroyers begin to peel off and track completely different vectors. Then, as the last light Capital ship dissappears into the starstream, the main ships peel off leaving only the Death's Hand.

"Helm, time til total fighter recall?"

"Last Interceptor of Magenta squadron coming aboard now."

"Excellent, prepare for jump to hyperspace under preprogramed waypoint zulu charlie. How many of our mission critical ships made planetfall?"

"All bar a few sir."

"Excellent. Captain Truly, you have command"

Admiral Blackblade turns and walks out, followed closely by his aide, Commander Kashlinkov, and ponders how much havoc is mission will have caused with the operations of the Sluis Van shipyard, as well as with the general supply of the planet. Those marines have just put the ship yard out of effective action for weeks thinks Dakon... An execellent start to his new fleet command.

Colonel Credekeski was in command of the 25th Rogue Imperial Marine Corps regiment who was now spiraling, crammed into a tiny pod built for probots, but modified for Humans, with four other men crunched next to him. The hundred and fifteen pods allowed them to get several hundreds of soldiers on planet in a very short, inconspicuous amount of time. Only problem were the intense g's that nearly stripped the marines of all consciousness. But they were just that...marines. They were trained to live under harsher conditions than thought possible. They were the definition of men and soldiers.

"We're.....almost....t-t-there!" he winced, grabbing onto the sides of the pod until finally, after what seemed like a few seconds later, they were bouncing against each other most uncomfortably into the grass and dirt, until finally the shaking simply stopped, and it was calm. "Ok we're here, move move move."

First it was a lieutenant that leapt out, followed by some sergeant, then a corporal, then the colonel. They were dressed in their typical camoflauge, with eerie looking visors and eye protectors, as well as stormtrooper like mouth guards which uplpoaded com links, breathing material, etc. Weapons were stored in a secret compartment in the pods, and were quickly assorted. Light repeating blasters were the weapon of choice among the Rogue Imperial marines. When the squad had lined up for the quick overlay, the colonel found his way to the middle of the circle.

Quietly, he began discussing the battle plan. "Ok guys, we're going to break up into groups of twenty to forty, we're going to hit their supply lines, their streets, their bridges, and theirs comms towers," he said in no more than a whisper. He showed them a holomap of the entire lay out, and not long after they were off.

Credekeski was in the lead of his group, designated Sword. They were in buond for one of the bridges, then one of the comm towers, then they'd regroup and wait for the word to hit the city. They were coming up on the first bridge, hiding in arrays of bushes and leaves, trying to stay away from the Chimeran cover.

Rogue Imperial ops had given them comms jammers, to prevent the rebels from being able to call in back up, or report that they were under attack. The colonel wasted no time in turning it on. The light repeating blasters were aimed at the Chimeran personnel who were standing guard foolishly laughing at each other and the like. Suddenly blaster bolts began raining from all over the bushes and branches, or ditches and dunes, or even some below the bridge began firing until the entire toll booth went up in smoke, and the two guards were slain.

"Ok men, let's move forward," he whispered. The marines ran forward, watching intently for any Chimerans that could be waiting in the bushes...but there were none and therefore the charges were grabbed. It took no time at all for the marines to line 'em up along the bridge as they moved, starting on one end and setting them in critical points all along it. However...halfway through they heard the sound of tracks. Arakyd Droid tanks were indefinitely inbound and therefore they had to hurry.

After a long while of setting up, the marines hesitantly hid in the bushes, they were <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> no<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> match for something like a tank or two, and sure enough, after minutes of waiting, there were four of them trying to cross. With a sweaty palm, the colonel ignited the bridge in an awesome display of fireworks...taking down four new tanks. That would help in the invasion. More comms from the other troops came in.

"Comm Tower 1 down."

"Comm Tower 2 down."

"Bridge 3 down!"

"Bridge 7 down!"

TCF Losses

3 bridges
2 comm towers
4 Arakyd Droid Tanks

ooc:How did I lose the tank droids?
ic:<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Colonel Fitzpatrick so the deteriating field before him. The commandoes had destroyed 2 of the main bridges. Using the backup Radionics system he immeaditly sent orders to the Tank Droids. They stopped 5 Kilometers from the target and began shelling the area. Then the 100 Dark Trooper mkIII's took to air. Hovering above the commandoes they began firing heat seeker missiles at the soldiers. Many fell. Then the At-AT's appeared. Stopping at maximum range they began firing their medium laser cannons. Devestating the assembeled troops.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

ooc:TRE losses
lets say 100 from the Dark Troopers
20 from the shelling
and 50 from the 114 AT-AT's
You've lost 170 troops.
I'd say you misght have 130 left max

ooc:o ne thing chadd. how were the pods modified. you need to make them a lot bigger cuase they are about 2 feet big and average human is probably in the high five foot range to low 6 foot range so you couldn't put five people in one pod. you would be lucky to put one in. then you need to add a lot in. you need to add lifesupport, an anti-gs mechanisim. you can't do that without making it a lot bigger.

OOC It has been well known that the Rogue Empire uses ESCAPE pods to shoot their probots down onto planets so they can cram three or four of 'em, I posted it on my board once when someone was asking bout droids. And even if that was incorrect, at LEAST it was a helluva lot better than saying all your droids and armors JUST so happened to be in EVERY place my marines were at the EXACT same time. Now, all RP here is to be transferred to "The Last Round Up" go there to RP further in this cause.

OOC: Actually Chad, Probots (aka the Probe Droids known as Akryoyd Vipers (sp??) in certain EU novels, and as seen on Hoth in the films) are carried to their destinations via grayish colored "drop ships" called hyperspace pods, which allow them to be deployed from either capital craft, of to jump through hyperspace. The pods crash into the planet, and then the Probe Droids come out and do their thing.

Just in case you cared. :p

OOC: Ok guys, lets stop bickering about this and get back to the killing.
