Stormwarning: Probing Jutraal
 • Posted On: May 10 2003 8:51pm
The gunfighting was coming to a close, but LFX would try once more to fire.

They loaded their weapons, they aimed, they fired...

Or at least they tried.

It was even worse than before, their previous shot had shortted out whatever energy had been left in their weapons. If anything the missiles had backfired, causing a rippling of internal explosions in the Twilight ship.

And the inside incinerated, causing mild damage on the outside.

The others simply could not fire.

They were out, those members that were still alive were either herded off or shot, and the three craft were now in Jutraalian control.

(Bullshit Chadd. Those missiles fired, and we all know it.)

The Jutraalian response to the attack was lacking. By this time the hanger bay was empty of any enemy, most either being killed or having retreated back to safer parts of the mamoth vessel.

It was to late for the Star Destroyer, however. A series of missile detonations, now added by the second Twilight and the Warrior, had revealed the ship's power core.

Not the reactor, that was safely concealed and protected in the rear of the vessel, but her fuel cells, where power was stored. Now, with the turbolasers back online, fire was being poured into that access, and one after another, system after system, the Star Destroyer was dying.

Without power, the ship would be reduced to nothing more than a flying heap. And power was becoming scarce, as more ruby red light smashed into fuel cells.

OOC

Take it to the OOC forum.

The reason they cannot fire is because of this:

You are disabled. Disabled means that nothing [nothing meaning that anything in your ship lacks] in your ship works.

That means you cannot fire.

Note: This thread is complete, the ships were seized, sorry Isstal. If you want to fight over it well bring it up at the TJE board or TDE board and I'll discuss it there.

Or you can maintain good RPing etiquette and do an RP attempting to steal them back. Either one is acceptable.

Bullshit, Chadd. Run when you get proven wrong... as per usual.

OOC

You have failed to prove me wrong.

"Captain, Jutraalian soldiers are entering the ship. And we've lost the last of our systems."

"Electronics, you mean?"

"Yes, Captain."

"Right. Activate the self-destruct."

There was a pause as realization dawned on the XO's face. The Twilight had a chemical self destruct system, which did not rely on electronics. Which meant...

The lever that was pulled was manually, and served only to crack the tough glass surrounding the primary element. That, however, was enough.

"For the Empire."

The Silencer XP-1 exploded, the blast of the chemicals used to achieve this saking the hanger bay of the Star Destroyer. The XP-2 followed suite, her own detonation tearing the bay apart and sending a now-crippled Warrior out into space.

The hanger bay was left burning, bodies scattered around. And no trace of the LFX ships.

And once again the ship found itself totally and hopelessly disabled. Those that were somehow still alive on the ship were swiftly stunned and ripped out of the ship.

It was with that that the ships were seized despite any attempts by divinity.

Acids and bases are not meant to be mixed. When they are, the effects are usually none to pretty. With some less dangerous substances, there may be an interesting reaction to watch.

With others, however, it was far more disastrous.

The chemical compounds stored in a long cylindar running the length of the Twilight were two such substances, and only the layer of transparisteel between the two prevented an explosion.

The lever on the bridge that was pulled even as the ship entered the hanger bays, impossible to prevent by the Jutraalian forces, opened the inner tube.

The two substances came together, and in an instant the ship was gone, nothing left bigger than a holodisk.

Conclusion

One Twilight Gunship Captured

One Twilight Gunship Burning Itself To A Crisp and Beyond Repair

One Warrior Gunship destroyed

Defender Star Destroyer hangar damaged greatly

Actually... they both blew up.
