Shadows of Formailty (Generis Takeover)
  • Posted On: Dec 20 2001 7:34pm
The watery planet of Generis was merely a hyperspace jump away from the capital of Despayre and that made it a priority conquest. The Rogue Empire knew it had to secure the whole of the Aetrivis sector before any expansion past Ghorman, and with thus, Generis was proclaimed the first target. A watery, well agricultered world was Fearsons' favorite type indeed.

The <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Imperial<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->-Class Star Destroyer <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Matter<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> was going to spearhead the attack, and then would be assisted by the Vengeance and Avenger fleets, completely taking what was left of the military out. Then the transports would come in to occupy the planet itself. Operation: Yari. Admiral Telween would command the front of the attack, being the spearhead himself...using the Rogue Empire's infamous Yari Tactic.

With all the aggrovation the bridge of an <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Imperial<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->-Class Star Destroyer provided, Telween was finding it hard to concentrate on the planned operation. He let out an annoyed sigh at all the bleeps and crackles, his head was killing him with pre-battle stress, and the lower officers were wise enough to leave him be. The captain even strayed from him.

"Captain Yelpa," he said quietly, but loud enough for him to hear. immediately the Rogue Imperial officer pivoted a left face and motioned toward his commander.

"Yes Sir?" he asked, the appropriate response when addressed by an officer, at least a superior officer.

Telween grimaced slightly. "Launch the Missile Boats, begin with the bombardments," the admiral ordered, twisting in the itchy white uniform. It was the uniform he wore with the Empire...he was still waiting for the quarter master to get back to him with a new one.

"Yes Sir, may I ask what the matter is sir?" Yelpa inquired with great concern. apparently there was an epidemic spreading throughout Fedje, and that was where the Star Destroyer had docked last. He feared the admiral had taken a similar suffering to the fate thousands had fallen to at the forest world.

"It is nothing, I am just stressed and tired, that's all," Telween responded, rubbing his temples. Yelpa nodded in response and moved to hand out the orders. The persons inside the bridge were far more optimistic than the admiral was, but then again, enlisted soldiers were rarely, if ever, briefed on the full situation. Those were left to the commanders, who whom were meant to <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> lead<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> the enlisted soldiers.

Yelp saw that Spacemaster Sergeant Soileau was at his post. He was punching in coordinates that were assigned to him, no doubt it was the Star Destroyer's attack coordinates.

"Sereant," he said, and immediately Soileau lept to attention and saluted. "at ease Sergeant. Rally the pilots in the breifing room, we are going directly to Status: Yellow."

"Yes Sir," he responded, and when he was dismissed the lower-ranked soldier left to carry out his orders. With thus Colonel Quex'Zar would not doubt be on the way to the breifing room. As much as Captain Yelpa <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> wanted<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> to watch the briefing, he knew there was still work to be done.

He lifted his datapad from his belt and observed it. According to recent reports, Generis' military was very small, consisting of a mere twelve-thousand soldiers, and a twelve ship fleet. They depended <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> heavily<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> on their allies from Fredje. That was why Ferasons had chosen now to strike, as Fedje was worried about their plague. The enemy ships were as well quite out-dated, using Dreadnaughts and Corvettes heavily, as well as the originial TIE Fighters (pre l/n series).

Judging by the reports, the Rogue Empire could crush the entire military and seize the planet in less than a standard week. The pad emitted an eerie greenish glow which refracted from his facial structure. The letters and images flashed by at the touch of his fingertips. Apparently Generis <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> did<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> have one major feature that was indeed going to prove to be an obstacle, a great one infact. Apparently after the decline of the Empire, several scientists from Maw and Despayre immigrated to Generis, and with thus constructed a great many wonders. Hidden somewhere under the ground was infact a group superlaser, which could crush a bombarding fleet if done correctly.

But, on top of that, they had two nuclear missile silos...between those two items alone the whole of Despayre could be destroyed if it was planned properly. The superlaser was part of the reason the Rogue Empire planned to take Generis <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> first<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->.

"How are the reports looking?" Yelpa heard behind him. The captain spun to see General Dwight, whom was charged with locating and destroying the superlaser.

"it looks like you have a helluva job on your hands," Yelpa said back, switching off the datapad.

"Give me some AT-PT's and a few good men and I will have that thing knocked out in a matter of days," Dwight smugly remarked. Yelpa gave a slight chuckle.

"I see, well we'll give 'em hell from above," he said with a smile.

"OK, OK everyone be seated and silent so we may begin," Colonel Quex'Zar shouted, which quickly silence the Rogue Imperial pilots. He stood in front of a monitor which displayed the battle plan for the men. "Emperor Fearsons has sent us here under the most grevious of circumstances. As most of you should be aware, after the Battle of Endor, hundreds upon hundreds of scientists fled Despayre and Maw to the neutral Generis system. It is a well-known fact that they possessed incredible knowledge of only the best of the Empire's superweapons, and if this many geniouses stuck together, there would no doubt be a military weapon surpassing most to defend their home. According to Rogue Imperial Intelligance....they have. Generis now holds a super-laser." He was forced to stop momentarily due to the sudden barrage of whispers and gasps that came forth. Quex'Zar understood, he too was greatly nervous when he found out there was such a dangerous weapon so close to the Imperial Capital.

"They as well have at <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> least<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> three nuclear warhead pads. Emperor Fearsons has purchased and begun construction on several shieldships to stop any superlaser or thermonuclear attacks on Despayre, but judging by the length of the ships and the distance Nkllon is from the Aetrivis sector, we <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> need<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> to knock out the laser. Whether or not Fedje has this weapon as well is not known, but we do know that Generis bust be the first to go. When we've secured Generis, their allies at Fedje will be next.

"Rogue Imperial commandos will knock out the defenses around the superlaser, our Scimitar-Class Assault Bombers will assist them. Missile Boats and armors will knock out the weapon itself. If this all fails, the Rogue Empire shall launch an all out assault with her own missiles. The thermonuclear warheads will destroy every living thing in a twohundred mile radius of the laser, which is to be known as Gecko henceforth.

"Remember, first we have to <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> get<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> to Gecko, and that will be difficult. our Missile Boats will be the ones to get us there, destroying every single thing on the way to the planet. Unfortunately, civilian casualties will be extreme. This will also be the debut of our newest military branch, the Rogue Imperial Marine Corps. They will be the primary ground force here, and will knock out the entire front line single-handidly. We would love to get our hands on some Darktroopers, but the only seven in the entire imperial arsenal are located in Bespin and Hoth. As it appears, we are in a world of hurt." There was now a grim silence throughout the room. "Are there any questions?" Several hands were raised. Quex'Zar pointed his pointer staff to an ensign across the room.

"I have the question that I believe is on everyone's mind," he started from his small, dark corner. "Can the superlaser hit Despayre from the current location and distance?" The colonel sighed and looked down for a brief moment. That moment of silence was the scariest part of the upcoming conflict, where he was no doubt going to say the thing none of them wanted to har, he just had to think of the easiest way to put it.

"Yes...it can'," he said simply, with a look of loss on his face. It was as if the entire unit sighed. "But that is why we are going to knock out Generis before we take the rest of Aetrivis. If we can hold it off for somewhere around a week and a half, the shieldships should be able to get here. But let's not depend on them, let's start giving them hell." That uneasy silence befell the room once again, but it was broken by the colonel clearing his throat.

"Your missions go as follows," he started. "Wing gropu Delta, you will fly TIE Advanced on a search and destroy mission, knock out all fighters around the navy bouy before returning to the Star Destroyer <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Matter<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> to refuel and rearm. We are expecting four groups of starfighters, each with five to twelve fighters. Be ready for an assortment of former rebel craft...X-Wings, T-Wings but more specifically be rady to combat TIE UGlies, they are the cheapest affective craft they can get their hands on.

"Next we have Gamma Wing...TIE Interceptors. You will escort the assault transports who are moving from the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Matter<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> to the station our commandos have set up on the surface, they will stage the invasion there. Do not move any further then 3.5 meters from Omega group, 75% of the transpots <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> must<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> make it or else the entire attack will be delayed...greatly.

"Tau, Nu, and Mu groups will have the most interesting, as well as boring job. Made up of: TAu group piloting TIE Defenders, Nu Assault Gunboats, and Mu, you will be in Missile Boats. The goal here will be to hang low while the abttles rages forth. THe TIE Defenders will have advanced concussion missiles to deal with enemy fighters...40 of them each, the Assault Gunboats will vary advanced proton torpedos, should the enemy try to hit us with caps like gunships or carracks.

"Missile Boats <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> you<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> have the heavy payload, carrying the majestic space bombs...this <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> will<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> hold off any big ships or weapons that come in to lcear us out. According to Intell, the Generis Navy has one <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Imperial<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->-Class Star Destroyer and two Victories. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> If<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> they choose to hit us with them this battle do <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> not<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> hesitate to knock them out, those are our only problems asside from the superlaser. We have also been informed that scientists have constructed new mobile missile launchers...giant droid ships who's sole purpose is to fly out and shoot missiles at capital ships. Mu, if these reports are confirmed, your orders may very well change to search and destroy...if they have nuclear fire power, the planet of Despayre could very well fall before Generis' superweapon.

"The three shielded groups will hide from the enemy, firing only when the fate of this mission depends on it. When the two factions are locked in heated battle, you three groups will slip by the atmosphere and station at the base down there, this is to get some aircraft on the ground for the attacks. The missile boats shall be the primary bombarders. If there are no further questions? Then squadrons dismissed.

With a solemn unison and grim beliefs, the pilots rose to a salute, before shuffling quickly toward their shpis. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> These were the heroes of the empire<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, Quex'Zar though.

ooc:ummm Avenger Fleet's at Heleska
  • Posted On: Dec 24 2001 4:06pm
OOC: I understand that, and it's still there...there's only one Star Destroyer here, the plan is to get Avenger Fleet in here to finish off Generis when its about to fall.

The hangar bay was silent asside from the much expected clanks, rattling, and droid announcements. Every now and again an engine would kick up, the stress was apparent here. Alec Twelve, designated TIE Advanced pilot Delta One, stroked the large, ebony solar panel his TIE sported. The ridges bumped his hand, tingling him slightly as he did so. His TIE Fighter helm rested snugly under his arm, his eyes tearing waterly. It was not over the fear of battle, but the thought that the Rogue Empire was practically facing a Death Star worried him for his family back home.

It was well known Generis had the smaller navy and army of the Fedje-Generis Alliance, but their space and air force was rivaled only by the Rogue Empire, but their space force was positioned around Despayre and Yaga Minor. This was to be a naval assault...similar to the Rebels' attack on the Death Star. Only now, the forces would be attacking the super laser itself...with a grand military...for a grand nation.

"Tau, Mu, Nu, load plaease," he heard the droid voice announce over the loudspeaker. He lifted his arms as so the harness could wrap around him and lifted him to the cockpit. When he was finally tucked snugly inside, his helmet was placed upon his head and the oxygen straps to his suit. With the final straps in place to prevent his floating in the zero-G's a TIE provided, Alec clasped the joystick readily. In his helmet's lenses he saw: "3...2...1".

The moment the one faded, he rammed his feet down on the yokes violently, jetting the two ion engines and shooting it out of the Matter's hangar. However, the sight he saw before the thousands of stars was not what he'd expected, to say in the least. The battle had well already started before the Rogue Imperial starfighters even arrived. Two assault transports had already been knocked out, and the TIE Interceptors were fighting desperately to repel the Y-Wings. Of the twenty transports in Omega group, eighteen were left, and several blue proton torpedos were heading toward them.

Alec decided now was as good a time as any to assist them and jammed his thumbs down onto the trigges, releasing all four cannons' worth of lasers. Two of the missiles disintegrated from the shots, while others began falling to TIE Interceptor shots. Omega Nine was hit but the shields witheld it.

His eyes fell to his HUD, and then to the radar. Fourteen Y-Wings with nearly ten X-Wings moving in fast. Twelse let loose more laser blasts, which ripped a Y-Wing's hull right from its two engines in a beautiful explosion. Acquiring missile lock on the next was no issue, and he rotated the fighter on its port to dodge a red blast of energy. His TIE Advanced was stuck barrel rolling to dodge attacks, and when he finally regained confidence in himself, he let loose two advanced concussion missiles. The Y-Wing tried desperately to dodge, but the sluggish vehicle was unable, the entire frame went up in fury.

But then something hit the man's fuselage, shaking the entire foundate. He looked up to see an X-Wing tearing away at him head on. Alec let the yokes go and pulled back on the joystick, pulling the entire craft back on its stern. more laser blasts chipped away at his bottom shields. But slamming down on his pedals and jerking right got him right past the enemy. However, he could feel the consciousness draining from his body, his eyes' no longer working...he was blacking out.

Alec's feet left the yokes to try and reduce his speed, but the enemy fixed that. However, it was the ring of his eject button that awoke him from the potentially fatal error. Looking back to monitor the oncoming enemy, he saw it explode through the engines, sending what was left of the cockpit as well as the pilot into a downward spiral. It was one of the TIE Interceptors who saved him.

"Thanks," Alec said into his radio. He got back a stadicy "no problem". According to his sensors, the enemy was torn to half. He grinned to himself behind his helmet, the enemy was being driven back. But it was not over yet, and according to his sensors' new indications...it would not be over soonn. More dots spewed forth, displaying the new enemy attack force...it was just as the Rogue Empire had feared, gunships and an Imperial-Class Star Destroyer...
  • Posted On: Dec 25 2001 11:52am
Immediately the gunboats and missile boats sprang into action. What seemed to be hundreds of advanced torpedos dashed through the void space between the craft. Just as two TIE Interceptors fell to the first Corellian Gunship, it too suffered a great beating as torpedos smashed into its hull, knocking it off course. The gunship's entire foundation rocked, the hull even suffering.

As the smoke cleared, more torpedos pounded inward, this time the gunship could not hold off the awful weapons, and it collapsed in on itself. Seeing now was as good a time as any, Alec sped himself forward toward the second gunship, whom was flurrying hundreds of lasers at the fighters. Two TIE Advanced were forced to pull off, while four TIE Interceptors did not get the chance. Solar panels and engines flew in mixed assortments from the severe attacks. There was close to nothing the Rogue Imperials could do to repel these forces with minimal losses.

Alec let the yokes go slightly, and reverted his speed. A vast amount of engine power was then transferred to his shields, seeing as he needed to go slower any way. The Corellian-Gunship's lasers ripped and tore into the deflector shields, or what was left of them. With a roll to the port, and a dive to the starboard, Alec was able to clear out of harm's way. There he was then, neck and neck with the gunship, trying desperately to both survive and destroy the enemy. Finally his HUD began bleeping madly, as his target indicator flashed red.

He let loose two sets of concussion missiles, which in turn tore apart the armored plating of the gunship. Though there were plenty of deflector shields left, the hull was highly damaged, and it was beginning to pull off. Nevertheless, the gunboats were not ready to see the enemy escape, and the craft exploded at the end of torpedos. More laser blasts hit the exploding frame until finally there was nothing left but a mere shadow of the former image.

Now Alec was getting cocky and threw his boosters to full speed. The enemy Star Destroyer was moving in toward the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Matter<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, and the hot shot pilot would not see his men destroyed. More laser blasts hit him from the enemy X-Wings, but they were forced to pull off as the Interceptors fell upon them. He had lock on the Star Destroyer now...he clutched his joystick...and just as he was about to squeeze...he got a message from his ship.

"Warning, incoming missile," it told him, and he looked to his radar. To his horror, the missile was closing and all he could do was eject...barely. He was shot out of the craft, gripping his shoulder straps as he did so. Alec watched the battle from his small postition, breathing rythmatically all the while. He would have to wait there for pick up.
  • Posted On: Dec 26 2001 5:14pm
"We are dispatching an S&R shutle, stay put pilots," Alec heard over his TIE Fighter helmet, and therefore he had nothing to worry about. Soon he'd be picked up by a friendly shuttle, and then soon, he would be back on the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Matter<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, sipping coffee, and watching the battle...unless that enemy Star Destroyer won...then there would be no hope for the Rogue Empire's efforts against that Superlaser. But it appeared that that was not what was going to happen, as the gunboats were swarming the enemy Star Destroyer. Of course the proton torpedos did not appear to be doing much to the hull, the shields must have rapidly been decimating.

"This is Imperial Star Destroyer <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Matter<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, moving in for the kill," the comm anouncer said, which was no doubt possibly the most frightening thing the enemy could hear. Obviously they fell for it, because the ship immediately began turning at a one hundred and eighty degree angle in an attempt to flee from the Rogue Imperial ships. Missile Boats' rockets pounded into the engines while ion cannons smeered the computer systems, frying them internally.

And just as the ship decided to enter hyperspace, a rocket made its way into the engine...and it exploded ferociously as it attempted to kick the boosters. Alec grinned as he floated, seeing as the Rogue Empire had just scored a major victory...three dead enemy ships with only one Star Destroyer.

Telween's eyes lit up as the Generisin Star Destroyer fell, a grin spreading to his lips. He could now commence with the surface attack, he could not begin the assault on the super laser. How he wished he'd had a <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Victory<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> Class now, but that was of no matter, he had to compromise with what he had. If he could get his hands on one of those new <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Redemption<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->-Class Battlecruisers....but those were just being tested as of yet...even though they were well done researching them they needed to test it for a designation...it was quite frustrating.

He knew they were on their way to Tralus as they spoke...they were on their way to try out the new craft...they were going to see what it could really do. Telween growled again, but his manner suddenly soothed as he saw the records...the assault transports had made it to the surface. The admiral's demeanor was that of a cool, calm gentleman now, any hints of frustration washed behind that handsome, smoothe face.

"Sir, the shuttles are in, our pilots are safe...but unfortuantely we have three casualties," Captain Yelpa reported, datapad in hand..as usual.

"Very good...let them rest for a day, we need all the available pilots we can get for the super laser battle..." Telween ordered, his eyes dashing back to the several computers across the way. Yelpa had already nodded and dismissed himself by the time he turned back face him...and that was the worst thing you could do to the etiqouttel admiral, but he would let it slide...this time.

"Ok ladies move move move move!" Major Kelerat yelled behind the roaring engines of the assault transports as several of the new Rogue Imperial Marines ran from their selected assault freighters. The base was already set up, and the living quarters were ready...but it was too comfortable for the marines.

They had already taken their tanks and were leaving the camps well behind, they were heading through the forests in the hunt to slay those that had built the super laser. Kelerat was taking up the lead, marching quickly behind the rumbling tank that was already tearing down trees and forest life wherever it spewed.

Ahead of them was a small town...it would have to be the first to go, there were no doubt soldiers hiding there.

Captain Relsard was not pleased with the news...the Generisin fleet had been routed by a single Star Destroyer, and already forces were beginning to clear the laser batteries around the city. He would have to report that to Elworth, the administrator of the city, whom was much less forgiving than his brother Quintce, who was the president of Generis. The halls were silent other than the tapping of his boots, which in no way matched with his pants, which were completely off from his yellow shirt...but provided Generis had little in the likes of funds left...it was understandable.

With an exasperated sigh he knocked his knuckles on the administrator's door. "Who is it?" he heard from the other side.

"It is I, Captain Relsard, here to give you the battle report," the captain responded, kicking some dirt off of his boots nervously...a bad habit he'd had. He could not count how many times it'd gotten him in trouble when he was <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> supposed<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> to be standing at attention.

There was a short pause as if in thought, then the other said, "Come in Captain." The door opened to reveal the large and beautifully set up chambers that were Elworth's. "What is it?" The man truly did think too highly of himself, Relsard had always told himself. He was too cocky, sitting in that chair as if it were the throne of Palpatine himself.

"The report...it is bad news if you dare to hear," the lesser figure stayed confident, but that demeanor was slowly fading.

"How dare you tell me what I should dare to hear," the administrator said, lifting his hand rythmatically with his tone...it took all of the captain's willpower not to scoff in disgust. "What is the casualty report?"

"All of them...sir," he said hesitantly. There was another dead silence before that large executive chair spun and that handsome yet pathetic man was seen snarling at him.

"All of them?!" Elworth roared in frustration, slamming his fist down on the arm of his chair. "I ought to kill you for reporting this pathetic detail! How da-"

"Kill one of your best officers for reporting the inevitable?" the captain shot back, and Elworth had to concede...he had a point. The Rogue Imperials <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> were<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> better trained and had better equipment all around than the Generis government.

"Is that all?"

"No..."

"What more have you then?" Elworth barked ferociously.

Relsard gulped and sighed. "Rogue Imperial soldiers have already begun sieging the city...our forces are nearly nillified...and the batteries are being knocked out left and right," he said. "See for yourself..."

It was hell incarnate just outside the city. Fire, smoke, and laser shots rayed throughout the twilight sky. The tanks had scored massive blows against the batteries, and already the defenses were caving in on each other. The infantry were moving in as well...death was a common name around the marines.

Admiral Telween fought hard against bursting out with joy as the array of ships exited hyperspace. VEngeance Fleet had arrived before schedule, and that would only make life easier. The extra fire power mised with the better recon team made it very possible for the operation to move forward. Apparently the marines had seized Fieldor without a single casualty on their part. They really were an elite ground unit that Fearsons no doubt would be proud of.

His brow crunched, and Telween watched the several assault transports dicipate into Generis' atmosphere, the rest of the invasion force. Fieldor was to be the base of operations, being only thirty miles from the superlaser. Missile Boats were already raining onto the planet, several selected targets already being incinerated. Telween was abuot to lead the victory Star Destroyer Assault on the planet, which would inevitablyend in Generis' fall. The targets were placed in order of importance: Z-95 Factory, Superlaser, Army Garrison. Yelpa had debated that the superlaser should be first, but Telween explained that not only was it on the way, but a well, the Z-95's could be the greatest threat to the missile boats and assault transports, wh owould be so heavily loaded with bombs and missiles that they would not be able to manuever past enemy shots.

"Rogue Imperial forces have seized the city and the vonyo, all evacuation attempts have been foiled, we are under heavy fire!" Telween heard over the speaker. It was the desperate calls from the city, indicating their imminent doom. The forces of Emperor Fearsons were a force to be reckoned with indeed.

Captain Yelpa took this time to make his entrance, typical datapad in hand. He seemed tired from the days of hardwork, planning and acting out the attack on the super laser.

"Sir, your transport and TIE Interceptor escort are ready," he said after supressing a yawn. Telween nodded.

"Good, I shall be down there soon," he said, watching the ships move by. Soon indeed.

OOC Sorry about the time frame skip, but that "Revenge" RP has forced me to speed this up.

The Victory Star Destroyers were all lined up just outside the enemy Z-95 production factory, enemy turrets and blasters were raying past and colliding into the strong deflector shields every now and again. Telween laughed at the pathetic display of fire works that they shot at him. His hands were now rubbing his temples, trying to wash away the stress he had gathered. The super laser attack was beginning, it was going to be the most epic battle of his life.

"Target maximum fire power...." he said, waiting for the guns to load to their max. "fire!" The forward turbo lasers shot straight out past the Victories, and collided with the ground station, bursting it into flames with one shot. The <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Victory<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->-Class was such an incredible fighter...it was a shame the Empire rarely used them when he was there. "Now to the super laser," he said, slapping his black gloved hands together and rubbing them anxiously.

The marines had already met heavy resistance at the laser, the enemy batteries pounding into their lines and killing dozens. But they would preservere, they would not stop because of a mere inconvenience. One of the bold soldiers leapt up from the ditches of grass, mud, and trees they were hiding in, blasting at the oncoming soldiers and then quickly grabbing a concussion grenade from his belt. Undoing the pin he threw it as far as he could, landing in front of one of the oncoming tanks...it exploded with no issue.

"Ok men!" 1st Lieutenant Charles "Skipper" Jones yelled, whom was replacing the major after his untimely death. "CHARGE!" Ripping from their dunes and trenches they began charging, their bayonets protruding as awful, dangerous and demoralizing spikes of death, their red laser shots blasting down everyone in their path. There was no fear in these men, they were killers, they had been trained accordingly. Though several had fallen in the first few seconds, and several still were falling, they did not stop, their passion and loyalty led them on.

Grenades flew as well as rockets from either side, and a turret went up in flames. The Rogue Imperial tanks were coming around on the flanks to try and keep off the enemy from advancing...they too were courageous. The Genersi soldiers were now upon the marines, and the two lines crashed in a ferocious melee battle. Their bayonets jabbed into enemy flesh, ripping bone and tendons alike before moving on to the next. Screams of pain and agnuish were a common sound upon the battle field.

"Skipper" was having a problem with several of the "Gens", as they were nicknamed by the infantry, were crawling all over him, and he was beginning to waver. There were four coming at him, therefore he lifted his light repeating rifle, plunging his bayonet deep into the first. Then he withdrew and rammed the butt of that gun into the next Gen's back, before spinning and hacking him down with that same knife. The third and fourth charged at the same time, but when he turned on his light repeating rifle he was able to shoot them both down in no time whatsoever.

The marines were winning, there was no doubt about it, and the Gens were definitely beginning to waver. More red shots rayed back and forth, and the entire back row of the Generisi line exploded suddenly as one of the tanks opened fire.

But the marines pushed on, hacking through the lines with ferocity unseen or unheard of. In no time at all after the tank shot, the Gens began fleeing, and the Rogue Imperial Marines killed off those that they could before they garrissoned back into the super laser...where they would certainly meet their imminent doom.

It was then that they heard the faithful roar of ion engines, and the rumbling of capital ships. The marines all turned in unison, past the bodies and smoke spraying forth from the battle ground. Four <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Victory<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->-Class Star Destroyers were there to crush the enemy super laser with a full fighter compliment...it was time.

TIE Advanced and Assault Transports alike whizzed across the skies, dropping hundreds of bombs atop the enemy garrisons and landing pads, taking out most, if not all of their fighter. With air superiority established, it was time to take down that laser.

"This is Assault Transport Zulu 1, I'm getting set up for my attack run," Alec, also known as Alpha Leader, heard. His head cocked to watch the assault transports racing in, trying desperately to avoid enemy laser shots.

"TIE Advanced group Alpha, get down there and give them some fighter cover, see if you can't draw their fire!" Alpha Leader yelled, yanking back on the joystick and pulling himself toward the super laser. There were hundreds of enemy lasers taking shots all around, trying to ward off the oncoming fighters.

"I'm almost there, just give me a bit more cover!" Zulu 1 yelled, shaking the entire foundation of his transport to avoid enemy fire. He let loose several bombs, which tore apart the enemy lasers and scattered them somewhat. The area they were flying down was similar to the Death Star's trench, but smaller and loss complicated, however it did have far more twists and turns.

The walls were as well black instead of grey, and every now and again they'd travel under a roof like thing. A sudden scream alerted all of Alec's senses, and he looked up, much to his relief Zulu 1 was still there.

"What happened?" he yelled.

"We lost two!" another of the group said, and Alec bit his bottom lip, that was too big of a price...too many were dying here.

"Three...two...one...away!" Zulu 1 yelled, and hundreds upon hundreds of torpedos shot out of his missile bays, as did from Zulu 2 and 3, and Alpha Leader and 3 followed their example, but this time launching rockets, six of them. The missiles all traveled toward the core, not the main reactor...the core, the heart and soul of the laser...toward the laser itself.

"Pull up!! All craft pull up!" Alec yelled, throwing all his energy to engines and boosting as fast as he could toward the Victories. "Yeeeehaw!" Alec yelled over his intercom, and he did a loop de loop in his TIE Advanced, pulling into one of the Victories.

It took some time...but the remaining Generis fighters were rounded up, the government crushed, and the factories destroyed. The Star Destroyer Mattter was left in the system to ward off pirates and liberators. Generis...was now under the control of the Rogue Empire.
