Shadow Era: Infiltation
  • Posted On: Apr 11 2002 3:26am
A small cloaked vessel known as "Fallen Angel" exits hyperspace from regions unknown. Its cargo three young Shadow Jedi. Their mission ... Infiltrate the Vong. Marka a young Jedi outcast sat in the drivers seat, his company Arai and Jade. He knew little about these two, but as time pasted he was sure he'd get to know more.

He flew in slowly, avoiding the asteroids and whatnot. He looked back and nodded to the two, signaling to get ready. He pressed a small yellow button on the control center, on the video screen the words "Auto Pilot Engaged" flashed on it. He stood up and stretched, his cloak floated around his body with his movements. Picking up his lightsaber he clips it to his belt. He reaches down to the control center and presses a blue button.

"We Are Ready, Master."

With that he closes the channel, and begins the descent towards Nal Hutta. He cloaks his Force Signature and that of his crew. A grin swept over his face as they neared

Jade watches silently as she masks all forms of her presense, via the Dakside, as she was taught. She nods back to Marka and an evil grin spreads across her lips, the former Sith Appprentice grinning evily.

She waits for the ship to dock as she continues to watch silently.

A rush of excitement enveloped her as the ship approached it’s destination. She knew neither of her companions. The pilot of the shuttle was new to the Shadow Jedi, she had only seen him once before on the Celestial Corrupter. The woman with the strange glowing eyes, however, she had seen on several occasions in the Shadow Jedi Academy sparring with Master Fearsons.

Her hand fell to the Lightsaber that hung unfamiliarly on her belt. She had only wielded such a weapon once before, but the Emperor had felt more comfortable sending her on the mission with it for protection should it be needed. She only hoped that she wouldn’t have to use the deadly blade.

At the last message sent by the pilot, her companions smile. Their anticipation evident on their faces, a stark contrast to the emotionless facade Arai wore.

With Warmaster Zhin Domain Dwamor conducting the abominatory destruction rituals on Nar Shadda, his last surviving kin -- Nartolk Dwamor -- rested in the seat of power over the defenses of Nal Hutta. The shaping wombs that were a part of the asteroid fields and interior body were of delicate manner and if any infidels, such as the Rogue Empire, were capable of infracting the defenses...there would be Yun-Yuuzhan's wrath to pay.

The Coral Skippers here were slowly being replaced with larger, faster models known as Rim Skippers, whom had managed to slip more dovin basals over the delicate yorik coral and make them much faster than the Coral Skipper, as well as more defensible.

As he watched from the Worldship Yammka he managed to catch sight of what looked like ten of them flying a careful perimeter of the former Hutt space.

After the fools had given their loyalty to the Yuuzhan Vong, Warmaster Zhin Dwamor had had them all swiftly executed, in order to prevent their slime-ridden bodies from uprising as they had a tendecy of doing. Now Nal Hutta and Nar Shadda were nothing more than military ensettlements wrought with riches and spoils glorious only to those who have endured the will of the gods.

Watching with little interest, Nartolk Dwamor then turned his gaze to the pulsating Yammosk War Coordinator in the center of the room. His cousin had known to it as a "friend" of sorts, something he could trust and relate to. The Yammosk had somehow kept the rikyam alive all this time, which was extroadinary to think, seeing as the Yammka was one of the oldest worldships to date.

Warmaster Zhin picks his shapers well.

However the Yammosk suddenly gurgled something, and sent a telepathic cry to the Warmaster's only surviving kin.

Infidels are attempting to breech Nal Hutta. It told him without a second thought. He immediately spun from his seat and peered outward, using the Yammosk as assistance, as well as the Yammka, to focus on what had been the upsettedness of the great War Coordinator.

Sure enough they had spotted what looked like a small cargo transport of some sort. Could they be suicidiers? Traders?
It is not my place to find out...I shall slay these abominations in the name of Yun-Yuuzhan and Yun-Yammka.

The Rim Skippers moved out in full offensive, four of which taking to the attack, the remaining six moving back to defend the shipyard.

" BEEEEEP!, BEEEEEP!, BEEEEP! "

" Computer, what is it? "

" Our Enemy's have been alerted to our presence "

" How many and what are they? "

" Ten, Modified Coral Skippers. "

The Young Shadow Knight rushes to the helm, disengaging the "Auto Pilot," taking the controls. He flicks a few switches arming his weapons and shields.

" Computer, are we still cloaked? "

" Yes, there are no malfunctions. "

" How'd they find us then? "

" Unable to determine. "

Marka flicks on the comm for through out the ship

" Hang on guys, its going to get bumpy. "

He turns off the comm and guns it towards the on coming ships, now at full speed he banks to the left hard returning fire from his twin laser turrets. Still at full speed and headed towards the planet, he increases the power of his rear shields and launches several hundred mines.

The Rim Skippers were fast...very fast. With their speeds rivaling TIE Interceptors it was a wonder how Admiral Det'ann defeated them at Ylesia only months ago. Apparently of course...they weren't at Ylesia according to the technical readout.

Their Yorik Coral was glinting off the sunlight from the star that stood on the far side of Nal Hutta, and they were now slowly moving into place behind the enemy YT Corellian type craft. It was quite strong for its size and it opened up several laser shots from the top of the craft.

Tiny blackholes opened up and managed to catch the shots, but every now and again they would miss slightly and smack off a piece of coral. But alas the Yuuzhan Vong craft did not waver. Rather, they began firing on the craft.

Strangely enough for the jedi inside it was not the same lasers and beams of light they were used to. This time it was lava-like plasma, singing against the back of the freighter craft, eating away at the shields.

But at least I have shields...

The pilot thought. But not for long as suddenly and without warning...the ship suddenly shook rapidly...and the shields were gone.

" HA, HA. Is that all you got? Siss.... "

Marka's eyes widen in horror as his shields drop completely with one shot. The alarm sounds off, red flashing lights emerge from the ship signaling the drop of the shields.

" No. Thats not possible. Computer, whats the status of the shields? "

" Shields have dropped they are at Zero Percent and holding. "

" Dear God. We're not giving up with out a fight. Computer, arm the war heads and re-rout all available power to weapons and engines. "

Marka opens the comm to the ship

" Ladies, you might want to get the escape pod prepped and ready for launch, things don't look good up here. "

He switched off the comm and the alarms. He comes about at full speed and launches six torpedos. He maneuverers his way through the four ships avoiding their fire. He comes about once more, coming up behind them and fires four more torpedos each aimed for their engines.

Escape pod? Not a chance!

Arai climbed out of her seat and scrambled for one of the laser turrets. The ship rocked dangerously from enemy fire, nearly throwing her to the deck. Recovering quickly, she made it to the chair.

As she she strapped herself in, she disengaged pilot control. No sooner had she done so than his voice echoed over the comm.

" Arai? What the hell-"

" This is what I'm here for, Sir." With a scan of the controls she took in the situation. " With shields gone you'll need to concentrate on getting this crate to the planet in one piece. Let me worry about our friends behind us."

Without another second thought she took control of the lasers and opened fire.

Three of the nine missiles were equally absorbed by the blackholes...but it appeared the dovin basals were unable to keep control of them all, and some managed to slip by, igniting two of the Rim Skippers in combusting balls of flames. The laser turrets bounced off the coral skippers, but most were simply absorbed as usual by the gravitic anomalies.

More plasma blasts rocketed and melted into the back of the YT-2400 as the basals kept a routine hold on the shields.

" Alright, Do either of you know anything about these creatures? "

Marka was almost thrown from his seat as the last volly hit the ship. Trying to avoid the shots he banks hard to the left and right.

" Computer, try and repair the shield generators "

A sinister and brillient grin engulfs the Jedi's lips, he sets the ship back on "Auto Pilot" and closes his eyes, breathing deeply. A huge Dragon like beast appears between Marka and his crew and the Vong, it roars like a lion. Marka opens his eyes, takes his ship off of "Auto Pilot" and dives toward the planet.
