Portent of the Fools (TNA FG, Almania)
  • Posted On: Mar 20 2002 4:49am
In the world of the Royal Guardsmen, there are no words. No foolish speachmaking, no politics, no idiotic diplomacy. Disputes are settled with logic, if they occur at all.

In the world of the so called "New Alliance Freedom Guard", there are far too many words. So much ado about political standing, diplomacy, frantic attempts at contending as a political power in the galaxy.

Two opposites, and yet, in the ready mind of Kir Kanos, two factions who were most certainly not equals. Under the guise of a powerful group of warships, the New Alliance had no real power- for power, not the bravadic facade of the pathetic pretenders, came from the mind. Unwavering courage, unquestioned loyalty, sharp wits, finely honed skill. No unnecessary luxuries, those which allowed the body to grow soft, and the mind foolish.

It had not been propaganda, or flashy displays of galactic proportions, which had allowed Kir Kanos and his partner, Kile Hannad, to wrest control of the Freedom Guard Corporation from the foolish control of Tilaric Brel and Donavin Styx. Yet it was exactly those useless qualities which had allowed this "Greyy Trespe" to rise to galactic significance.

Clearly, fame was cheated, and not earned.

For it was only by luck of the draw, and the power of affiliation, which allowed this Greyy to fulfill his visions of his stolen "Freedom Guard". He seemed to envision himself as the equal opposite of the F.G.C., the Republican reflection of Kir and his allies.

He had no idea, the fool. He was the grime under the boot of Kir.

A silent entry, an unseen enemy, a single unobtrusive vessel, was all it had taken to gain access to Almania. There were no heroics, no glorious battles, for Kir Kanos. Only silent, cold, skillful precision. And for the New Alliance fools? No miraculous discovery of the intentions purveyed by the occupant of that small ship, as it requested and gained landing access to Almania.

Now, as Kir Kanos walked the unsuspecting streets of Almania, completely ignored by others and unsuspected, safely annonymous, only the truth remained, surfacing in the churning waters of the Royal Guard's mind. There would be no glory for the Freedom Guards, now. No more facade.

Only pain.

Toryn Sabreen was watching the blue orb of Allmania from the Drewwa base. The new recructs were going well. Out of the 70 more then half well make it to the Guards super elitests. On his desk was a report on the Freedom Guard Corp. Words that they had no like for the TNA Freedom guard were obvious to any of the contacts on their home base planet. Why should the two guards be at odds. He was not sure but if the FGC had it in for them it may mean that they may need to see To more security. But if they are any thing like his guard they may not see them until they chose to reveal them selves.

In that case he needs to redouble efforts. If the TRE being on the Alliances back they certainely did not need this.

Irman the Nohgri opperative was on planet. He and his nohgri storm commandos are watching Almania counter espionage. He just hopes he can handle it.

OOC: Oh yes, Vonta, list your squad. Remember that they're NPCs. They can die.

IC:
The first explosion errupted at about 1400 hours, Coruscant time.

It was a simple matter, a simple goal. Kir took no pleasure in these civilian deaths; yet neither did guilt penetrate, for it was the nature of the beast. How many more would die if these fools continued their reign of happenstance?

The Royal Guard entered the large, civilian-inhabited building. He resisted the urge to relax in the increased warmth of the building; indulging in such a way was to let down your guard, and Kir Kanos never let down his guard. The inside of the building was of fairly primitive construction; primarily made of marble, polished and shining. The lobby was populated by shuffling civilians, annonymous and meaningless. Some approached the front desk, some approached the lifts.

Kir ignored them all. They were inconsequential; one clerk on the desk queried his way, yet the Guard did not respond. He continued towards the turbolift, stepping in and queing in his selection. One other person entered with him.

The other person was a male, large and burly, likely very slow. Kir calmly retrieved his holdout blaster, still silent, and fired one shot into the man's head, before he could even react. Slapping the emergency stop button on the turbolift, he tore open the lift's console and placed in the charges into the computer, connecting them to the height level tracker.

Readjusting the console, a voice errupted through the speaker.

'Why did you stop the lift?'

It would happen too fast for the security guards to check the footage of the charges being laid.

"There is a dead man in my lift." Kir said, simply.

'Holy kriff! Uh, okay, we're bringing you down to the first level.'

Kir did not respond as the lift moved down quickly. As it reached the first floor, medics rushed into the small comparment, assisting the already dead man. Kir moved quickly. As the lead medic turned to speak to Kir, he was already gone.

When the turbolift reached the highest floor, it detonated the first charges, dropping the lift 900 feet down to the lowest ground. The second charges detonated, weakening the structure.

Kir approached a public comm terminal, knowing there was approximately 20 minutes until the structure fell entirely. He connected to the security forces.

"Someone should help. An explosion has gone off. People have already died."

Kir walked away from the blazing building, as it teetered on the edge of collapse.

OOC: The portent of the fool in this case is that you never say that you are in armor or not.

IC:Emergency crews were responding all over the City and the CLF(Civil Law Forces) Were responding in force a full lock down of the city blocks was innitiated. No one got in or out. While in route in his Law Class ship. The droid was scanning the data net to find clues to the culpret. The cameras in the building had recorded the entire event. Broadcasting it to the security data net as it happened. A man murdered A clerk in cold blood. The mans face was recorded and forces were responding to the man as he spoke.

"Get me the military. I want a full scale team to deal with this. Either this guy is just insane or he that good of a professional. Either way CLF may not be able to handle it."

He disconnected. In his processors he replayed the death in cold blood, This man well indeed pay.

OOC: Well now they are not NPCs starting with Irman.

IC: The Nohgri Freedom Guard was haveing a meal when the explosion happened. Sitting amoung a group of nohgri garbed in black storm commando uniforms. The Nohgri were the natural warriors. So the were integrated into the Storm trooper corps.

Irra was a Freedom guard. Even among the nohgri he was a elitists. Allowed the highest place and reguard of his peers. The nohgri in the Grey Freedom Guard armor was a conter inteligence officer. And needed to be in a more covert armor then the white of the normal guard.

CLF put out a all points bulletine as on of the cities buildings came tumbleing to the ground. Zed was requesting immediate help to search out the culpret. The man's face was all over the holo net.

120 nohgri were stationed at this out post. Irman made a call to all of them to close in on that position. All the nohgri all over the city got the call. And like shadows they disaappear into the shadows as they begin a man hunt for a warrior.

--20-- minutes later

The Nohgri were scouring the area looking for the culpret moving like living shadows amoung all of the people. A Nohgri trooper spots the prey. Quickely he calls it in. Moving in he engages the man with a vibro blade at hand.

Irman in full armor arrives just in time to see the man combat his brotheren.
