Mutiny (Chimera Fleet)
  • Posted On: Dec 9 2001 4:53pm
They had conducted the most disgusting, pathetic action in the history of pathetic actions...mutiny. Admiral Joe Schmoe had attempted mutiny and treachery against his emperor, and now Fearsons was here to cash in his chips. Aboard his flagship, the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Imperial<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->-Class Star Destroyer <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Disruptor<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, he stood readied, his men armed and set in the decks below. They'd attempted to steal his jewel, his prize...his Eclipse Star Destroyer, but thanks to strategic thinking, he managed to transfer the construction, and now Chimera Fleet had a choice...carry through with their civil war, or back down now and lose everything they'd worked for.

His objectives were clear: Render Sluis Van completely useless to those below. The denizens of the popular planet would either learn to hate, or to love Emperor Fearsons and his empire, there were no indifferences here, not in this civil war. Knowing how Chimera Fleet thrived like a leech on Fearsons' arm, their entire command was based around the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Victory<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->-Class Star Destroyer <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Tyrant<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->...which would undoubtably stop at nothing to defend their shipyards. Foolishly enough, they did not even request space stations be built over the system, and with thus the admiral doomed himself to impecable failure.

The emperor looked from his bridge to either side of his fleet, there were plenty of ships here to completely crush the Chimera Fleet, but the goal was not to crush, but to humiliate and render. Their gunships would be the only true issue in this battle, with their potential to knock out the missile boats and TIEs, but he had plans to override that. He had specially designed TIE Interceptors that would easily clear those. All in all, this was going to be an easy battle, if there was one at all.

He turned to his comms officer, whom was stuck in a conversation with Admiral Wyldan. "Lieutenant," he said, and in turn the lieutenant snapped to attention and saluted. "At ease. Now, open me a channel with the Chimera Fleet, we will, and I repeat, we <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> will<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> not negotiate terms that will grant Sluis Van independance, if they want it, they'll have to fight me for it."

"Yes sir," the lieutenant responded, and immediately sat to open the link. In a matter of seconds, it was open, and on the Star Destroyer <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Tyrant<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> a life size holographic figure of Emperor Fearsons appeared in all his glory.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Meanwhile in the hanger bays aboard the 'Disruptor'...<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

Jai Darklighter and her special-ops squad geared up for thier newest mission...

Jai had let Terex borrow her YT-1300 for the mission, and had instead brought a highly modifed----and rather crappy looking---- Xwing called the "Last Moment". It had a smaller (yet more powerful) engine than a regular Xwing which made room for the secret and un-scannable compartments she had installed. They were big enough for tons of cargo...but this operation wasnt to smuggle goods....

"Ok John, you and your 2 men get in the larger left compartment.....Bria, get your ammo and slide into the right one. It's gonna be a bumpy ride, boys." She said to her sqaud.

John--the groud force man of the sqaud---jumped in and squezzed into the compartment with his two accomplishes.....while Bria---the explosives specialists---got into the other compartment with all her equipment.

---
Meanwhile, on the other side of the hanger bay, Terex Datoo was makeing last minute adjustments to Jai's YT-1300...he had installed the newest form of dura-steel plates to the front hull and made doulbe-sure that they would do the job (haveing done numerous tests on them).
"Looks Ready Jai!"

"Good deal, Tex...power-up and head on out. I'll meet ya back at the house."

'The house' was the rendezvous point for the squad down on the surface of Sluis Van.
---

Jai looked out the viewport of the hangerbay down to the planet below, she mentally scolded Admiral Joe for being dumb enough to commit mutiny at Fearsons...the events to follow wouldnt be pretty...
Jai made sure her alias was encodeing to the Xwing.."Abbey Chase"...it was a common and boring name, but it was also not the name of a smuggler, and thats what mattered.

She double-checked to make sure Tex had the others of the squad aboard her YT-1300 and then checked on Bria, John, and the other 2 guys stashed away in her Xwing....everyone was ready, everything was set.

It was time...

ooc: I talked with Chadd and he allowed me to post in this thread. Do not worry though, it's for something else down the line and I won't be *much* of a bother in this. :)

"What's in it for us?"

"Full protection of your planet. Right now, those who control it are in a power struggle. They are soon to be at war with one another, and my guess is soon and here. If you accept my offer, I will see to it that Pod Racing Central and my fleets will protect this planet from the brewing war, and grant it its freedom it deserves." Snack kept his gaze on the man's eyes.

"But that freedom comes to a cause now, doesn't it? You use us for your own gain, just like they have. You'll use our building facilities... our shipyards for yourself. Why should I agree to these outrageous terms?"

A smirk crossed the lips of the Sith Lord. "Because a percentage of what we build using the yards located here will go into this planet's defenses. Plus... you will not have to worry about a civil war breaking out between my Order. You and your people will prosper by this deal, if you accept Governor."

The governor sat in thought, thinking about the pros and cons of Snack's proposal. The Sith Lord was there of his own accord, yet he still had The Naboo Sith Order in mind when asking and coming here. Sluis Van was a world soon to be torn apart by a Giant split in two. The Chimera Fleet had broken away from the Rogue Empire, one of the bigger and stronger factions this galaxy had seen. Snack was like a scavenger, coming down to pick away and eat up what was left of the two after the split. Fortunately, TNSO could have taken out Chimera's force's here at their home base. Yet Snack wanted to be there when the war between TRE and TCF broke out. That way, TNSO's fleet would be able to come in, fight both fleets, and come out victorious. A long shot, but with the added effect of surprise and the Force, it could be done. "So, do we have a deal, Governor?"

Reluctantly, he spoke, "Yes. We have a deal."

The two men stood up, about to shake each other's hand when the door crashed open as one of the personal ran in panting for breath.

"Excuse me, sirs. But a big fleet has just exited hyperspace in our system. They seem to be hostile."

The governor shot a look over at the Sith Lord, wondering if he had been set up. True it would have been a great plan and a great set up, but Snack had no part in this one.

"Do not jump to any premature conclusions, Governor. This is not my fleet. I had intention of keeping my words."

Snack looked at the young man who barged in. He seemed to be listening to words in his hidden headset.

"It looks like a Rogue Empire fleet."

Sithspawn. They weren't suppose to attack this early in the stage. This would ruin everything. With a growl, the Lord began to hustle towards the door.

"Where are you going? You'll protect us, right?" The frenzied Governor asked.

"My fleet would not get here in time. The deal's off. It's your problem now. Boy, take me to the Communications Room. I want to establish contact with the fleet's flagship and talk with the military leader who is running this attack. NOW!"

The boy boy had no real say in the matter, and rushed Snack on the long journey to the Communications Room. It took about five minutes to get there, and once inside, the boy set up so Snack could send a holographic image of himself from the planet up to the bridge of the flagship of the TRE forces. Lifting the hood of his black cloak over his head to conceal all but his mouth and chin, he began to speak.

"This is Sith Lord, and one of the Leaders of The Naboo Sith Council. I demand to speak to whoever is in charge of this fleet."

The bridge of the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Disruptor<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> was in an array of happiness and excitement, for once being allowed to do some true combat with little risk, but with much excitement. Finally they could pick clean the Chimera Fleet, finally they could end the damp in their glorious empire's reputation. Admiral Schmoe had done no good for the empire beyond present them with shipyards that had begun construction of his Eclipse-Class Star Destroyer.

"I'm sorry sir, Admiral Schmoe is at Kessel right now, and we are unable to contact him, may I take a message?" the shakey helmsmen on the planet had said, obviously, and according to the Force, something was happening in Kessel Fearsons was not to know about...but fortunately the fleet was not in the Sluis Van system.

"No, you cannot," Fearsons responded, and immediately he shut off the communications. The image of the boy disappeared, and he spun, looking around the bridge of his beautiful craft.

But his sudden free time was quickly cut off. "Sir, we have an incoming message from Sluis Van," the emperor's own helmsman reported, much to his surprise. He trotted back over to his comms section, and clicked on the "receive" button. The image of quite a tall and large cloaked man appeared on before him in holographic form, and if it weren't for their own emperor aboard the bridge, the men easily would have been intimidated.

"This is Sith Lord, and one of the Leaders of The Naboo Sith Council. I demand to speak to whoever is in charge of this fleet," he said. The Nabbo Sith Order....they were valuable allies indeed, he'd even conquered Bothawui for them, and yet he still had not been repaid.

"Greetings Sith Lord, I am Emperor Fearsons and <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> I<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> personally command this attack in hopes of preventing a bloody civil war. I will end Chimera Fleet personally, and if you stay you shall see a glorious display of strategy and tactics."

The hangar bay of the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Disruptor<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> was quite active, with stormtroopers and infantry alike walking around or standing at attention. There were hundreds of them, maybe even thousands waiting to load up onto the assault transports at a moment's notice to crush the Chimera Fleet, and General Cress was eager to do so. Being in command of the overall ground assault, he could not wait to see what happened when his men hit the ground, or when the Angel Virus was unleashed on the enemy.

"Battallion!" he yelled, immediately stopping everyone in their tracks and putting them to parade rest, their feet twelve inches apart with their hands clasped firmly behind their back. "Atteeeen-hut!" When he finished the "t" everyone, as in every single living being in the hangar, was at attention. "Fall in in the assault transports and be ready, we're going to be landing in less than an hour, and I want to be <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> ready<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> when we do!"

The men took no time in running to their respective transports, unloading their weapons as they did so. Several men also poured into Mynock Assault Boats and Svelte Shuttles, or even Vibre Shuttles...a favorite choice of the Rogue Empire. Now Cess just needed the go ahead from the emperor, and the invasion would be underway.

John setting down in the compartment with his E-11 powerpacks and all the things a stormtrooper would need for combat, the other 2 men followed John in, full of there own gear "Men set your hud systems to passive mode, and stay alert when we land,it will be harder for any hostiles to spot us,but it will be harder for us to detect them also....but we will have the advantage"

"We are in and ready to roll Jai" John feeling his heart beat a little faster....he was ready

As Maximus waited with the rest of the troops on the Disruptor he squated down close the the floor and checked that his Vibro Blades were securely fastened to his boots. He then stood to his full height and pulled his blaster out of his chest holester. Maximus put his blaster back and studied the crowd of troops that were gathered waiting to be called into battle.

Maximus closed his eyes and relaxed. He began to meditate. Even though he wasn't a Sith he always preferred to meditate before a battle to remain completely focussed.

Maximus opened his eyes and turned around. A few people were talking to pass the time, maximus on the other hand being new to the Rouge Empire had no friends yet so he was hoping that with this battle he would earn the respect of his fellow soldiers.

He clenched his fists and waited.

The order had been given, and already the transports began to rain out of the fleet. Maximus and all the other ground troopers, or at least a majority of them, were in various Assault Transports and Mynock Assault Boats being transported down to Sluis Van's surface. Stormtroopers, infantry, HT-AT's, none were left behind in this attempt to preserve the empire.

In Assault Transport Omega Three, Commander Isard stood tall, his stormtrooper uniformed patched with a red sleeve top, his light repeating rifle holstered in his hands. Through his helmet he grinned at the troops displayed here.

"Ok men, this is the real deal, when we land, we kill, shoot everything that doesn't have a Rogue Imperial seal on it," he ordered with a slight bit of satisfaction in his voice.

The holo image of Chadd showed up infront of the Sith Lord, spoke some words, then cut back out as quickly as it came in. Blinking, looked at where the image once stood, trying to get a sense of what or who Chadd really was.

He had spoken to Poreon a few months back, and the name of Chadd Fearsons did enter the communication. Something about giving TNSO a planet as a pressent and show of good wills, something like that. The man probably was expecting some good gift in return. unlikely, since Sith... true Sith do not offer gifts of peace or kindness. Those who think they did were either stupid or dumb.

"...if you stay you shall see a glorious display of strategy and tactics." Fearson's had said. However, Snack figured that would not be the case.

"More like I stay, they shot me or kill me as well in the process." He spoke aloud to the boy who had escourted Snack to the room. Shooting the native a harsh glare, Snack swiftly turned around and began to walk; his destination being either one of two places. Where the main forces would be landing, or the hangar bay. No matter what, Snack would make sure most of TRE knew of him and his pressence here.
