He's going to shoot himself? the agent though, Is this guy for real? Nevertheless, he didn't relish the thought of the Rodian killing himself in a grubby holo-booth. All manner of paperwork and legal liability could follow. Not just that, but the agent wanted Bato Das alive, to find Muro's hideout. Ironically, the situation could play into his hands.

"We found your friend earlier today - in fact, he squealed your location for us. You should be more careful when you choose your friends, Mr. Das."

The agent was circling slowly. He kept his own pistol trained on Bato, but didn't seek to provoke him. "Come on now, Mr. Das. You might as well come peacefully - there's nothing for you if you run. You'll even get your own lawyer and cell all to yourself."

Emac the Jawa peered around the corner into the holobooth. This was bad. Very bad. The uniform-giants had captured his giants Muro and Crane, and now Mila was gone with thier ship-of-the-sky. The bug-giant Bato Das had been Emac's last chance, and now that it was found, it was being taken, too. Why had it dropped it's fire-thrower and given up? Was the weapon defective?

Still hiding behind the corner, Emac focused on the fire-thrower. He had to get his adopted tribe back, he couldn't go back to the way things were before. No, it would be even worse this time, stranded on this freezing, horrid planet. No, he would save this Bato Das, and Bato Das would save his tribe. But first, he had to wait for them to leave. Like all Jawa, he would take what others had left behind, and put it to good use. All he had to do was wait...

the agent had batos arms locked in an awkward position, taking him out of the holobooth and into the murky hallways adjacent to it. bato hadnt shown any signs to alert the agent that he had noticed emac. using a crafty messaging system they had worked on, bato signalled for emac to restart the ship. this would be the start of escaping

With gritted teeth and a bit of a limp from his earlier collision, the agent dragged Bato through the dirty and dark corridors - he felt worried about leaving his gun behind, but a Rodian would be hard pressed to best him in a physical fight. "Don't worry, we'll be happy to give you a trial," he hissed. "We'll even give you a lawyer and your own cell."

Bato wasn't struggling, which made the agent suspiscious. A man of his talents and reputation, scum though he may be, would surely not just throw up his hands at the first sign of trouble? The agent picked up his pace.

He reached the end of the hall and opened the door. There, an open armored speeder awaited its' prisoner. The agent hauled Bato in, but before closing the door he heard a faint noise from behind him, back down the holo-booth corridor. He turned, and looked into the murky shadows.

Chasing after the agent with his salvaged gun, Emac let out a quiet squeek of dismay at the uniform-giant's armoured air-rider. He hadn't expected it to be so close, so soon, so...mean-looking. Was this what the bug-giant had been trying to tell him earlier with those incomprehinsible hand motions? Was...

Oh, bad. The uniformed hunter-hunter was looking at him! Emac disappeared back into the building with only a faint glimmer of glowing yellow eyes, where he thought. he couldn't fight that thing with a fire-thrower as small as this! He needed, he needed... coming to the corner he spotted something he had somehow missed before. Bato Des' air skimmer! Maybe there was something in there he could use. With true Jawa curiousity, he popped oppen the front panel and started poking stuff until it leapt off the ground with a roar. It still worked. Emac did a little victory dance, then closed the hatch and leapt onto the skimmer, and with true Jawa curiousity, started poking things.

Two minutes later, the bumped up airspeeder roared out the front door, almos throwing off it's tiny, robed rider, and automatically raced towards the signal of it's master. On the back, Emac was still frantically poking things, trying to take control of the metal monster that had kidnapped him.

The agent did two things as the airspeeder tore and ripped its way up the corridor towards him.

Firstly, he pissed himself.

Secondly, his keen instincts took over and he rolled to safety, as the careening vehicle smashed into the back of his own police vehicle. The prisoner quickly escaped, allowing the two to leave as the agent cursed uselessly after them.

He leapt into the passenger side of the damaged police cruiser, and shouted "Quick, don't let them get away!"

The woman in the driving seat was about to pull away, when she sniffed the air. "D-1, is that... did you-?"

"We haven't got time for this! After them!"

The police cruiser got a move on, in pursuit of their quarry.
