Info on genetic break throughs-

Renowned genetic researcher Xeta Lore lost his entire family in a conflict that happen between the Jedi and the sith. The jedi apologized, said that they did every thing that they could to save all of them. But after the battle the said jedi repented the Dark side of the force. The sith that was responsible for the deaths of his wife and children was allowed to go unpunished and live as a jedi. He demanded justice for his lose. The jedi tried to explain it to him that this repentant sith was to live his life atoning for his sins. Saying that that would be a far better fate for a man to make the world a better place for the rest of his life instead of merely ending it.

Out raged he swore that he would find his revenge on all force wielders some how. But how? This question haunted him for years. The force strong were the best fighters in the galaxy. They are better then any droid every made. only another of their kind or a large force could stand against them. HOW?

One day he happened upon a exotic species that was said to block the force. It was his answer. only a fighter that could resist all of the tricks of a force welder would be able to triumph over many jedi. He would find a way to insert it in to the genetic structure of a human and create the perfect weapon against them all.

In his later years he work tirelessly to find a solution. Approach by a representative of the New Alliance he was convinced that The force wielders that had ravaged the galaxy were the ones that deserved to be hunted by this new weapon. And that the NA was going to do their best to defend the light against the darkness.

With a full funding from the New Alliance and a small army of trained Genetic specialists his work was to be completed within 2-3 years instead of the 20-30 that he had expected. To him the sooner the better.

log 1:

While the current human genome is a form completely different from that of a lizard like creature in its current evolutionary form. At one time though both species shared a common ancestor on the original home planet of human beings. Giving them a genetic code that was similar to that of a human with in certain parts of each respective genome. That is the reason that they still look similar in the womb of the females of the two species at the beginning of the pregnancy.

Although Humans and Yalsimarri come from two completely different ecosystem the similarities in the genetic structures remain true in the evolution of lizard type creatures. The cells that the humans have in common with lizards that once gave them scales in a now extinct ancestor are present in the genes. Only they have been made dormant by the current genes that have proven a success for human beings. By designing the virus to replace the genomes that are relate to lizards with the Yalsimarii genes I may safely introduce the foreign genes into the human genetics.

Log 133-

After months of experimentation I have finally managed to isolate the genes within the yalsimarii that are compatible with the dormant human lizard genes. The similarity of the genes well allow the genes to work with the humans current adaptions from their reptilian ancestors. It well take more time to change the structure of the gene to bond with the proper human amino acids to make the change that we want.

Log 347-

The virus is ready. Experiments on human cells showed that the bonding process has been completed with the minimal side effects. The DNA well remain dormant until a specific radiation comes into contact with the cells. A addition that I added along with the yalsimarri DNA is set to react in a way similar to what happens with a cancerous cell. But in this case all of the cells well have the gene. So the result well be a total cell change instead of a mere few abnormal cell.

Expected effects of genome change:

A increase in hearing, a increasement of the spectrums that the user may see in. Possibly a increase to the ultra violet range. Certain organs well change slightly The heart is expected to strength and lung capacity increasement. In addition to the force inhibiting abilities of the yalsimarri. Though to a more limited fashion. The field of it with in the cells was measure by a NA force strong as being quite weak in the cell culture. I would expect the range of this phenomena to reach no more then a few inches at most from the recipient.

Log 432:

The virus is meant to be reversible. This may be accomplished with ease. Now that I have found that using a unchanged sample of the replaced genes I can reproduce a sufficient amount of the original DNA strands that were replaced to insert them into the virus that carried the Yalsimarri cells. This virus would reverse the effects by replacing the Yalsimarri cells with the originals.

Genetically manipulation using viruses.

Carrier virus: SG-15

Carrys: DNA strands from Ylalsimarri

Species that it effects: Humans

Effect on DNA: Gives the human the antiforce capabilities of yalsimarri the effects are minimal to the user the disease well only mimic the effects of the force blocking to within a aura of 3 inches around the person.

Contagiousness: the virus can only be maintained and created in the laboratory. It can not multiply of its own accord and is not contagious.

Treatment: Well take about 4 weeks of daily injections of the virus to make the effect permanent.

Reversibility: A sample of the users DNA is taken before the procedure and implanted into another virus that would then replace the genes that contain the Ylalsimari DNA. therefore reversing the process.

Project out come FAILED.

The differences in the DNA proved to be to much for even Xeta Lore to uncover. But his research made him a valuble weapon in the biological war that the TRE was making on its foes. The Angel virus, a disease that deevolved sentient beings to a simpilar form of their species.

No one had a sample of the dreaded desease until the TRE Used it on a MC 90 in the recent past. The scientist live samples to work with. Ship was met in a secret location after a series of random jumps. The people were dieing but there were samples for him to work with within poor unfortunate living subjects. They well not die in vain he swore.

The bodys supply a wealth of information. He had recent blood samples of all living subject that showed what it was like before they encountered the virus and what they're genetic make up was like after wards. Using this information he can figure out how the virus it'self currupts DNA.
