Empires Shadows: To Each His Own (Schmoe)

<font color=yellow>We are having some issues uploading the said modifications in the computer systems, our countermeasures will be unstable if you proceed with these advancements. If we could invest a few thousand more credits...</font>

The droid trailed off.

"No, we can't afford it...I can barely afford my rations as is," the raspy voiced Fett contemplated his choice for a moment. An automated slicer droid would do him very well when rounding up bounties and getting through enemy defenses. Of course he needed his counter measures if he hoped to be effective in combat.

<font color=yellow>So then you would like me to leave it as it is for now?</font>

The infamous bounty hunter stroked his mandalorian helm for a moment where his jaw line would normally have been. The one way visor that he often had tiny hologrids form up on flashed his current balance....four thousand credits. Four thousand and he still needed to go repurchase missiles, buy another stock of food, not to mention the awful taxation on travel routes through Imperial space.

But then again Imperial space is little to none now adays.....

He continued reading through the assorted text that popped up from the droid brain of his ship, the Slave I.

<font color=yellow>As you wish sir. If it is alright with you I'd like to shut down for now to conserve our power.</font>

The way he saysourpower makes it seem as if he has any say as to this ship...

"Very well," Fett finally said, standing from the cockpit seat and slowly making his way away from the control consoles. He dropped his hand to the butt of his sawed off blaster rifle, his wookie pelt flowing around his arm as each stride of his steps. "What is this?"

He curved his head over to the holonet news network player he had running at all times, seeing as something intriguing came forth.

<font color=orange>"For the grand total of twenty one thousand five hundred credits, leader of the Rogue Empire Emperor Fearsons has decreed an official blood hunt on the rebel leader Admiral Joe Schmoe. The price includes his Dark Jedi status, Chimeran status, and wanted status. He is desired dead or alive."</font>

Oh well now what have we here? The Chimera Fleet and the Rogue Empire are still duking it out? That war criminal must never cease his pathetic war crimes...

Fett never took a job that was immoral or wrong...there always had to be some sense of honor to his capture. Capturing a known war criminal and vile deceiver was all he ever desired in a bounty. Reminds me of when I brought in Solo...

He let a grin spread to his lips behind the sullied helm. There was a decent reward behind it too...enough to get his slicer system in.

Ok then...I'll do it.

"Negative Echo One Niner you do not have clearance to land," the Chimeran control post warned the bounty hunter under his false name. He was pulling himself into a Pantolomin station under a false name and false IFF codes. There was no way to guess it was the Slave I.

"I don't think I said it clearly, I have a shipment of true Tibanna Gas that needs to be transported in immediately," Fett acted hesitant for a moment and then lowered his voice. "Is this a secure channel?"

"It is now."

Fett hesitated his scratchy voice, acting as if he were checking the channels just in case. "I have a cure to the Angel Virus here...I need to get in there," he explained, and there was a sudden gasp from the crewman.

"Roger Echo One Niner, welcome to Pantolomin."

Young idiot...Chimera Syndicate is really slack on training recently.

With thus, the Slave I reared itself down, and into the Chimeran docking platform. He was on the move.

ooc:uh huh and visual sensors recognized the slave I and the grounded Turbolaser and Ion Cannon blew it up but I won't do that because I'm too nice

ic: Commander Suger heard that a craft had came to Pantolomin and it supposedly had the cure to the Angel Virus aboard. transmissions from the security scanner in the landing bay had shown that it looked like the Slave I. So immeaditly he had summoned a armed squad to be standing by ready to kick the ass of whoever was in charge of that ship if it was a trap. The men ran in the docking bay and the hatch hissed open..........

<font color=red>You know it's a trap</font>

The droid brain submitted the text to its owner. The Mandalorian clad bounty hunter acknowledged with his raspy tone. He was still finishing up on getting ready, throwing his weapon packs in his pouch, running over last minute checks and then checking the fuel in his jet pack. He knew the Chimeran officials would be a bit upset after recognized exactly what the Slave I really was, and they knew without a doubt it would not have the cure to the Angel Virus.

<Font color=red>So what are you going to do?</font>

"I'm going to go down there, and rip them all new assholes," Fett said quite simply as he left the @#%$ pit and made his way over to the other end of the cockpit, checking on something, then grabbing a few round balls. "Hopefully the modifications still work."

He could hear the clicking sound offered by the droid brain as it tried to type up something useful, but he did not pay attention to the main console and rather made his way down to the cargo hold, grabbing supplies here and there as he did so.

Down in the cargo hold was exactly what he was looking for...a nice EWEB Type III Heavy Repeating Rifle. He had modified it to crane out the bottom of his ship, pointing out toward the Chimeran soldiers. This bounty will just get better and better

He looked down on the tracker of the EWEB, and it indicated where each of the persons were, clear in perfect heat signatures. There were two other compartments that he could easily slide open, that he knew he'd have to do so with.

Fett flicked on the comms to his droid brain and let out a sigh. "Go!"

The bounty hunter smashed his fingers down onto the triggers and let a sudden unrelenting burst of laser fire, tearing down a good few of the men from the lines, but they were smart enough to start moving and take cover.

The droid brain had done him well as one his modified "droid tanks" as he liked to call it, which was really a very small miniature of the Arakyd Droid Tank, exited his hangar bay and in unison with Fett's blasting began tearing through the hangar bay.

One of the boxes one of the men were hiding behind exploded from massive shots to it and killed the man behind it, there could be no more than five men left, and they were seen up and fleeing away from the battle. The droid chased them, and it was a hilarious sight to watch as one tiny droid chased five well trained soldiers away.

Fett then exited his craft and looked around with a smile that none could see. He walked to the six or seven he'd slain and drew the dog tags from around their neck, tucking them into his pocket. He then brought up the map display in his helmet of the complex on the way to Schmoe...he was off.
