Empire's Shadows: The Will of the Many (Chandrilla)

It would have been a great plan...the populace of Chandrilla possibly would have believed the Sith...if they had not seen the reports of Jaminere first hand...if Commodore Siather had not come back with proof of the Yuuzhan Vong attack...had the fools from the Inner Sanctum of the Sith not messed up ever so badly on their news report.

Matt, simply for the sake of military bearing, did not burst into impecable laughter at the news report. Instead, he simply let his lips twitch uncomfortably. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> They tried to bring Chandrilla into uprising without even filling in the correct blanks...it would have helped if they'd have used correct placement of Rogue Imperial beliefs and did not leave so many witnesses to bear.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

"Find the station that published that and try to reel in the insurectors," the commander ordered, and there was no debate from the rest of the members in the control tower. Any self respecting member of the Rogue Empire would never believed such a sorry attempt to throw them into war, especially not against a faction whom had saved them, from someone who ended tyranny on Chandrilla and have only worked hard to make the planet liveable again.

It was an intense battle, but the Black Dragon Fleet had indeed been fought off, and the Rogue Imperial army had secured the planet in the name of the Emperor Fearsons...and freedom.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> How can they insult all my men died for? I was there, it was not to try to suppress these people<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->.

Indeed Matt was right, they had fought long and hard for several days in an attempt to overthrow a tyrannic militaristic government that was indeed difficult for even the mighty Rogue Imperial navy. It was not the fleet that showed issues though....it was the army that refused to let up. But after severe carpet bombing, they had been forced into a surrender. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Chandrilla has rebelled once...never again would they.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

The storm troopers had secured off the cathedral area and had indeed dug up several Bothan corpses...yet...there was something disturbing about them. One of the soldiers, a lieutenant, dropped to one knee to examin the one of the females. Stroking her hair back out of her forehead, he made a startling discovery.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> They've been shot!<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> Someone had shot each of the Bothans before the bombing run...they were dealing with full blown terrorists now.

"We need to secure off this area," the one lieutenant ordered, standing from the mutilated corpses as a white blanket was draped over them. There were somewhere around fifty of the soldiers tehre, with a good ten or so misc. forces.

The roar of TIEs overhead distinguished that the patrols were out and loooking for the Svelte-Class Assault Shuttle. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Find those bastards for us.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

Behind the transpiristeel cockpit, Jes watched as the Shuttle pulled into their sights, and she easily could have crushed it there and then...but she could not. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> He's right over the residentials...we can't risk bringing civilians any further into this mess than they already are...<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->. She had seen the news report being broadcasted to all transmissions and she too was equally disgusted with the Inner Sanctum's desires to overthrow Rogue Imperial rule. No one would believe Sith over Jedi, much less with false pictures of storm troopers with insignias in the wrong places.

Besides...everyone knew it was a <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Svelte<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->-Class Assault Shuttle, not a <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Gamma<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->-Class Landing Craft. Apparently Fearsons gave the Sith more credit then they deserved.

The shuttle ahead of her TIE squadron was swerving and moving to try and get the TIEs' attention, but there was an easy way to deal with that. They were going a good 75 MGLT, almost the Shuttle's max....just ten more MGLT to go. They were nearing the edge of the residential quarter, and they needed to get just far enough to shoot it down.

"Ok group, break up and try and box him in," Jes ordered as she moved her TIE Fighter directly behind the stolen shuttle. She searched it up and down for Rogue Imperial marks...but there were none. Not a single one, but the IFF codes did indicate Rogue Imperial banner. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Another inconsistency with the news report...<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

The Sith were very poor at propaganda. The shuttle had hit in the residential area, everyone would have seen the shuttle, everyone would have seen the Rogue Imperial troops.

Her TIE Fighter squad broke their wedge formation and shifted their weight to get on either side and then to the front of the shuttle. Of course it was a deadly position for the fore TIE Figther, but these were police craft...they gave up speed for shields...which could easily be reallocated back. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Even then once he took the hit he could throw everything to engines and then outrun that shuttle quite easily.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

"Attention terrorist shuttle, cease your engines and land at once, prepare for boarding and immediate arrest," Jes said, waiting for a response.

Damn!

She'd been caught. Not once in her line of work had she ever got caught, not once!

Well, there is a first for everything.

It only took five minutes to get to the police station, that was where they had taken her, the stormtroopers.

Isn't there an actual face I could look at, these helmet heads are giving me the creeps!

There was tons fo stormtroopers in the station, they seemed to sworm the place.

No chance in hell of escaping, that's how it is supposed to be, isn't it?

Sarah always knew how to escape a bad situation, always.

Looks like I'm getting a little rusty.

she was taken into a very near empty room in the back fo the station. Only a few chairs and a table could be found in the room and also what appeared to be a double glass window, the kind you could see both sides from.

She let out a deep sigh and sat down in one fo the empty chairs.

Looks like I won't be getting out of here anytime soon.

She waited, knowing the questions would soon come. No one said she had to give the answers though, did they?

A soft smile crossed Sarah's lips as she waited.
