Drowning of the Light (Closed)

Amalia's pace was slow, it was a deliberate pace; it was if there was a means behind her stride.

Once her gaze had caught sight of the cafe, she never seemed to allow her face to waver from the establishment.

She had everything already played out in her mind.

She pictured it easily enough. Malice walking out, Lono held tightly within his grasp.

No surprise reached the woman's face when Malice finally did come out with Lono; her visual image of the two was almost a carbon copy of how the two appeared to her then.

Her brown eyes reached Malice's face first before her son's, quietly observing Malice as he looked onto her.

She'd stopped in her pace, keeping four feet distance between Malice and her son. Her lips parted, it seemed as if she were going to speak but for some reason changed her mind as her gaze finally fell onto Lono.

She smiled ever so faintly, despite the situation that had come to be. Her gaze retreated back to Malice; finally allowing herself to address him.

"Hello," she said softly, perhaps too softly.

Though she neglected to say another word, her eyes said everything she could not or would not say.

A silent plea her brown eyes offered Malice.

After it seemed as if she would say nothing more, her mind reached out to Malice's.

.. What.. do you want?

She could not pretend to know what Malice wanted.

Tell me.. what do you want?

She would not do it.

She would not dare beg him out right.

... But she would be sure to give him what he wanted.

Any means necessary to save her son...

Still gripping Lono tightly, keeping his son close at his side, Malice's gaze held up against Amalia. It had been a while since he last saw her, and looking at her sickened him. Her face, her scent, her very presence just sickened him beyond belief. Yes it was true then, she had to die. Along with those she cared for dearly. With a slight grin, he spoke.

*Now now Amalia, you should know by now what i want from you. And if its still not clear, let me help you with that notion*

Extending his free hand, tendrils of lightning leapt from his fingertips and into the tavern where it struck an innocent being. After a few seconds the being was dead, slumped over a bowl of food it was eating. Malice clenched even tighter to his son, not caring anymore if Lono was getting scared.

That was no longer his problem, no longer his job to ease his sons pain. Then again, it was never his job. No, Amalia had stolen that from him, kept him from being there to raise their son. This too was a reason why Lono had to die as well. Malice no longer felt like a father anymore. To him he had no son, no offspring to call his own. And he liked it that way.

*This time has long sinced been expected Amalia. Since the first day we met it was fated. We never could have co-exsisted with one another, i can't understand why we even tried. I was stupid back then, but now i see things far more clearly then before*

Amalia looked on as Malice took the life of an innocent being. Where sorrow and injustice should have been clearly written with emotion across Amalia's face, nothing drew to express from her presence.

She was nothing but.. empty.

No act of persuasion on her part toward Malice, but simply the truth of how her essence truly felt.

"I remember it so clearly.. the first day that we met.."

She seemed lost, in her own world then, thinking back on that day.

".. It was you that rescued me that day.... and it is you whom will rescue me today.."

It was true; all the pent-up emotions that lay dormant within her, he would awaken them. He would awaken them and then help her to release them.

"It all starts and ends with you..."

Malice snickered at her words, his hands gripping tighter to Lono's shoulders. In one final display of his feelings towards his son, Malice flung Lono to the side as if he were nothing more then a ragged doll. His eyes were set upon Amalia, nothing else mattered to him right noed.

*So it seems Amalia. But it is not i who will end this day*

Reaching down to his side, Malice unclipped his saber. Not yet igniting either side, he pointed a finger at the jedi woman infront of him. A breeze blew past, causing his robes to ruffle and sway with the wind.

*Come wench, come and let me free you from this meaningless exsistance. Let me ease your pain...and let the joyous feeling of death take its place*

He stood ready now, ready for the final battle with his once love. Malice would give her the honor of striking first, that is, if she had it in her to do so.

On his way to the academy, it seemed as if a million things was running through Jensen's head. He had wondered if he had done the right thing, letting Amalia do this alone, but he felt it had to be this way, she wanted this way. And he also felt that she was ready.

However his walking slowed down. the negative thoughts kept taunting him...something wasn't right at all, actually very wrong.

Then there was a sensation of darkness, a ripple almost that seemed to wash over the former padawan. Coming to him almost as if a blur.

He could sense the child, whom he sensed earlier, was cast aside, rather forecfully.

Jensen suddenly stopped pausing for a few moments only to turn his head toward the cafe, and the source of the darkness. His head then turned back to face ahead, as if it was a distraction.

He bit his lip, and his fingers curled into fist at his sides.

He then made a change of plans, and turning around he made his way toward the cafe.

Despite Malice's somewhat resilient effort to strike at the woman's emotions, Amalia still continued to stand her ground.

Her gaze however, depicted quite the opposite reaction to her still form. Her brown eyes seemed to burn with a fury unlike any other Malice had ever seen to evolve from Amalia.

Her mouth twitched lightly, as she bit down on part of her cheek faintly, as if to ward herself from lashing out at Malice with her words. She would not say anything to Malice in front of her son.

She was not made to wait long for reinforcement; something she was surprised to find but was partly glad for.

She felt Jensen venture back her way.

Please.. take Lono and keep him out of harm’s way.

The woman's hand moved to her utility belt, hovering directly above where her lightsaber was fashioned; partly regretting that she did not have the lightsaber Leia had made for her so long ago.

The battle would bring her freedom.

Under a different situation, such a silence would have been nice. But in this case it irritated Malice. So much so that by aide of the force he sent his son dragging across the dirt covered ground, and right back into his grip. Picking up a now crying and screaming Lono, Malice eyed Amalia.

*Not one with words anymore now are we Amalia? very well i know ways of making people speak. And nothing makes a woman speak more, then when she has to watch her children die*

Activating oneside of his lightsaber, Malice slowly edged the seering blade towards Lono. He would cut him to, his feelings for his son were long gone. Replaced by a longing of death for his son. Eternal life within the force, that is what Malice would grant them.

On the outside, Lono put up a somewhat brave front, his cries and screams were more for being let loose than for calling for help.

Lono was much to young and ignorant to understand the true result of what his father's lightsaber would do to him if his father had the chance to have his way.

It pained him to see his mother and father quarreling.

.. Sure enough, it did not take long for the young boy to become angry, as both his mother and father seemed to ignore his pleas for being let go.

Eventually Lono's crying turned into screams of anger, his face contorting into a sense of heated wrath, a look never to be expressed by a child.

It wasn't long before Lono began to physically lash out at his father, kicking at the Sith Master with all the strength he could possess within him.

It was not long after that that Lono bit Malice, hard and long upon the man's arm as he continued to kick at him.

It was all that Amalia, Lono and Malice needed.

... With purple lightsaber aglow, Amalia took her first step into freedom as she rushed forward toward the Sith Master, eyes blazing with a fit of intense heated rage.

It was the last thing the boy saw of his mother before he was tossed aside.

Lono ran like there was no tomorrow; he did not look back.

Jensen was on his way toward Amalia and Malice, during that time his step seemed to quicken.

As he was just about there, he saw a small figure with white hair, what appeared to be a little boy recklessly and without abandon make his way toward him.

The little boy's mind as far as Jensen could sense was filled with confusion and without thinking, ran into a street in his trek toward Jensen.

Luckily, Jensen was close to within arms reach, and picking up his own pace and with lightning fast reflexes was able to pick up Lono quickly and take Lono out of harms way, as a speeder barely missed the confused boy.

Once upon the sidewalk with Lono in his arms he sat him back down, Jensen not saying a word to the young boy for a few moments as he turned only to see Amalia, and Malice start their duel, he closed his eyes and sighed inwardly as he shook his head for a moment.

Jensen bent down so he and Lono were face to face, and he spoke.

"That was quite a scare there..." Jensen said quietly.

"I'm Jensen, a friend of your mother's, I'm here to make sure you are safe."

Jensen glanced back toward Amalia and Malice and back to Lono as he stood up.

"We need to get out of here." As his gaze shifted back and forth and it finally settled on Amalia and Malice.

"Don't look back…" He said, Jensen's gaze unwavering from the two, as he and Lono left the scene.

The rage his child was building up within did not bother him one bit. In his mind, it was rather too late for Lono to be expressing his darksided nature. As Lono started to get more and more wild, Malice's grip increased.

But that didn't seem to phaze the kid, instead he bit down hard upon Malice's hand. Growling in anger at what his son had did, Malice raised his saber wielding and, we was going to hit him with the side of the saber that was turned off. That is, until a tremor within the force had alerted him of danger. Amalia had finally sprung to life.

Looking up infront of him, the sith saw the fallen jedi charging, such rage flowed from here eyes. Such emotions Malice could just feel them pouring from her. His excitement getting the better of him, Malice flung Lono aside and charged. His white blade leading, it swung from a high arch towards her left side.

This was the beginning of the end........for one of them.
