Dark Canon: Rise of the Dark Lords {Khar Delba}

Outside the perimeter of Khar Delba, the transports were crowded with the Sith Master's army of Massassi warriors gathered from all extents of their Sith order as they landed. Several troops had been seperated from the enlisted ranks and stood in a small group by themselves, bestowing belligerent looks and threats on the silent knot of battledroids that laid ahead protecting the city.

As if on command, everyone became silent as a massive caped form came into view from behind a group of his soldiers. Several of his warriors bowed silently and kept their silence.

A Massassi officer, his armored helmet shoved back to reveal a recent scar where a blade had penetrated him, scrambled down out of the transport's control room, shaking his head briskly. "All is ready, my Lord. Your warriors await the word to make our disembark and charge the perimeter of the city. Their army is no match for your grand army, Lord Sythis."

Darth Sythis acknowledged this news with a barely perceptible nod, then spoke.

"Good. The word is given. Send our army in a fierce charge toward the capitol. Take no prisoners." He rumbled dangerously. He squeezed his fist, the tone in his voice implicit.

The massive form whirled unexpectedly to his face, and the Massassi captain shrank under his sculptured stare. "I expect nothing more than victory in this battle! If I recieve anything less, your head will be adorned upon a pike and set for the hawkbats to nibble on as carrion. Do you understand?!"

He paused a moment, then added, "Begin the attack."

Upon his command, the Massassi warriors nearly fell over themselves in their haste to leave-- to carry out the Dark Lord's orders...

...and onward to victory.

The cave was illuminated by the bioluminescent glow of a rare algae, an indigenous organism to harsh planet of Khar Delba. The two sith could feel the glare of the devious and feral creatures lurking in the shadows, yet they were unwilling to approach creatures which were far darker than them. The hours passed by slowly, each man drawing his force signature close, fully aware that if the Council of the Spurned sensed them, it would be treacherous traveling.

Yet these defilers could not sense the anger and rage contained within Sedriss Sadow and Malice Draclau. At odds most of their lives, the two sith would now deliver the crippling blow to the blasphemers now inhabiting Khar Delba. The thought of their disgusting hands on his family treasures created a tidal wave of anger, threatening to wash over all in his path.

He sensed Malice's anger; an anger which centered on the use of black sorcerey by two members in particular, an insult to the galaxies greatest sith magician. Sedriss knew full well the wrath of this man and how he could deliver punishing assaults at any given moment. In fact many years ago he had experienced it first hand, in a climatic battle on Thyferra, yet now they were brothers, each prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice.

The opening lie ahead, covered in an ancient sith text, written by the priest sect of Naga Sadow himself. Placing his hand on the ancient seal of Sadow, the opening revealed a hidden portion of the council room in the castle of Primus Goluud. Only Sadow's heir could open this entrance for the door was designed to recognize the amulet which Sedriss now possessed.

The two sith walked swiftly into the council room, unnerving the meeting already in progress. Sediss struck fear into their hearts for they knew of him but mostly they saw the identical image of Naga Sadow. Malice's robes began to whisp along the polished marble floor, as the dark energy he commanded slowly gathered in his dark heart. Sedriss spoke to the obvious leader of the council, assaulting him with a voice drenched in rage.

Greetings Sa-Di, it seems you can run no longer. I have allowed this heresy to go long enough. I am now Dark Lord of the Sith, heir to Naga's throne and you are guilty of defiling his memory. As such, the Dark Circle condemns you all to death. Come Sa-Di, allow Nefta and Baddon Fass to join you, so that I may show you true power.

Ripping one of the stone council seats from the floor, Sedriss slammed it in to Nefta's skull, crushing it and leaving him convulsing in his own pool of blood.

Surely you can do better than that. he chided, standing still, showing them his utter contempt for their ways. He saw Malices black eyes focus, looking upon
Rexash and Raela, the dark sorcerers, with all his fanatical rage. Soon this battle would be over and Darth Sythis would crush the enemy army on the surface, leaving behind a trail of blood which would stain Khar Delba for centuries.

Darth Sythis had timed it perfectly. Just as he looked ahead to his minions charging toward Khar Delba, a line of battledroids came down to face the Massassi, their lasers firing. The warriors reacted at once, spinning about with their blades and armor to deflect the many bolts, and firing their weapons against their attackers. The Dark Lord knew that these few droids were the least of their efforts, for as he glanced toward the city he saw the source of Genral Grulong's confidence: thousands of battledroids rolling along every landscape toward the wastelands below.

The fight began immediately, the whole battlefield filling with screaming laser bolts, Massassi leaping and charging, trying to close into tight defensive groups, their weapons firing wildly. The droids scrambled all about, some trying to attack the Dark Lord's warriors-- and dying for their trouble-- others just scrambling to get out of the way of the wild fire. They knew the odds were already against them.

All around Darth Sythis, the fight intensified as he marched toward the city, with Massassi soldiers battling scores of battledroids by its outskirts, and many other warriors rushing down to join the battle against the largest concentration of battle droids. The Sith Master winced when he spotted several of his warriors blasted to pieces by the larger gun turrents of his enemies. He motioned to other Massassi, but needn't have, for those closest were already rushing toward their vunerable companions, firing their weapons and dispatching the machines with their durosteel blades.

Darth Sythis suddenly took action as he ignited his crimson blade and joined the battle. The Sith Master was a blur of motion, working his blade furiously to turn back the storm of laser bolts screaming at him from the multitude of battledroids. He joined his legion of Massassi near the outskirts of Khar Delba soon after, and back-to-back, they went into action, moving into a crowd of droids, taking down several with deflected bolts, then slashing through, turning in unison as they went.

But despite all the gallant efforts, despite the mounds of slaughtered Massassi warriors, the outcome was beginning to show clearly as the army of General Grulong were being pushed back by sheer numbers. The general retreat flowed into the city of Khar Delba, though that action would provide little respite.

Darth Sythis rushed into the city, slicing everything in his path. It was now time to hunt this general...

As they entered, Sedriss immediatly began an assult on the head council member and his two lackeys. Malice however lifted his hand infront of him. The blue ball he had summoned earlier grew big quickly. Instantly becoming twice the size of a human head. Before Rexash and Raela could react, Malice thrusted the blue fireball forwards. It crashed into the council table. Exploding on impact sending chunks of stone everywhere. The dust pourd into the air, clouding the visions of all.

Though Malice did not need to see to know where his enemies were. There stench was enough to alert him.

*You two shall die for insulting the ancient ways of sith sorcery. You do not deserve it's powers*

With that Malice stomped his foot. Letting the darkside flow through his feet. a Chasym appeared and headed straight for the two. Below them a indension was created. A crater nearly 30 ft wide and easily reaching 60 feet deep was formed. However the two dark jedi sorcerors were better prepared then expected.

As both quickly summoned the winds to their biddings. Lifting them up and away from the crater. The two sorcerors wasted not time in counterattacking either. As both shot two blasts of wind at Malice. The demon master merely laughed at their pathetic attempts.

*Such weak power. You do not deserve to fight me*

Raising his hands into the air, a wall of fire erupted infront of him. Halting the wind blasts which only caused to increase the fires size as it fed off of the wind.

Indeed this battle between sorcerors would be one to put down in history for all time.

The swift death of Nefta, spurred Baddon Fass into action. Igniting his silver hued lightsaber, the dark jedi master lept into combat, scything his blade towards Sedriss's head. The darkl lords glowing crimson blade rang true, meeting the infidels blade barely inches from his face.

The two tested each others strength, as the room was lit of up with the low hum of these elegant weapons, providing an eerie theme to their deadly dance of strike and parry. Using the force, Sedriss shoved Baddon back, leaving him angered and seething.

A disciple has more courage than you Fass. I grow weary of your games.

Cold dark tendrils lept out, enveloping Sedriss in their painful embrace. He did not stagger for many years ago, Malice Draclau had done the same, forcing him to give in to his rage. Now, he eyed Baddon, seeing him for the true heretic he was.

Sedriss struck towards Fass's neck, which was easliy blocked, yet the dark lord deactivated his blade leaving the infidel of balance. Using his massive fists, he struck deep into his abdomen, sending shock of lightning through his body.

Slowly circling the injured man, Sedriss taunted Sa-Di.

Do not be too concerned Sa-Di, soon I will deal with you.

As Fass attacked high again, Sedriss blocked the blow, using his strength to stagger the man, this momentary advantage gave him victory, as he spun quickly, meeting Fass's midsection with his red hot blade. As in slow motion, the heretic fell in two pieces, entrails and blood spilling on the polished floor. The body twitched in its last moments as Sa-Di emerged from the shadows, obviously shocked he must now fight.

Now this ends. No longer will your foul council tarnish these majestic halls. Now Sa-Di, you die.

The Massassi army under the command of the Dark Lord's Grand Advisor marched forth across the ice fields, unrelenting to fatigue and the cold that bit at them. The ground shook under the feet of the armored warriors, who made no attempt to be silent in their approach. They were there to grab the infidels' attention, draw them out so that Master Quinn and her forces could get them in a pincer maneuver.

Several enemy droid scouts had taken up positions behind obstructions such as hills and blouders, only to peer their sensors out and gather data on the army. Dravin did not want it to seem that they wanted to be discovered easily, so he had a couple of armored squads from the army pound the droids with railguns and several rockets.

After the eighth or ninth scout droid had been destroyed, the infidel army had appeared over the horizon, coming out from the shadow that was the dark side of the moon. The Massassi army came to a stand still and waited for the infidels army to come, which had a mix of battle droids and human fighters, mostly battle droids making the army up.

Slowly, the infidel army closed in on the Massassi army until the two were just no more than several dozen meters away from each other. That's when the Massassi broke out into in a screaming charge at the infidels, firing their blaster weapons and brandishing their swords. The Massassi tore into the infidel army, ripping the battle droids to pieces, but they weren't without their losses.

Dravin was in the midest of the combat, twirling his twin lightsabers around him, cutting down hordes of battle droids that rushed toward him. One howling Massassi leapt over the Grand Advisor and took down five droids as it landed, sending several dozen more scattering across the ground in pieces.

More droids filled the gap that was made, unleashing a hellfire of blaster bolts onto the Massassi that tried to charge through. The pummeling wasn't very effective against the Grand Advisor's forces, as the warriors were covered in alchemical armor that could protect from most personal weapons.

"Quin, you better get here soon," he said to himself as he sliced several more battle droids down in one swing. This time no more battle droids filled their ranks, instead four destroyer droids walked up, firing their twin blaster cannons at him. Dravin easily managed to deflect most of the fire, and absorb what blaster bolts he could block with the Force. He could keep this kind of combat up, but the Massassi couldn't without major losses, which the various numbers of destroyer droids in the infidel's ranks would inflict upon them.

The wall of fire continued to halt the wind blasts which shot from the heretic sorcerors. Getting annoyed by their weakness, Malice decided to go on the offensive.

*Nahvusahrim saanavarah*

A huge stream of fire shot out suddenly. It struck Rexash throwing him backwards into the wall behind him. Instantly the dark jedi sorceror was lit aflame. Watching his friend burn to death, Raela struck out at Malice. Shooting streams of force lightning at the demon sith.

Lifting up a hand, Malice only laughed as the lightning gathered in his palm. With a sadistic grin crossing his masked face, Malice shot the lightning right back at Raela. Striking the dark jedi to the ground. As Raela lay there, his body bloody and burnt. Malice towered over him. His pure black eyes peering right into the sorcerors soul.

*You are not worthy to live. Nor are you worthy of dying. Instead, you shall become one with me. And you will feel true power*

Holding out his hands, Malice closed his eyes. The demon sith's mind delving into his pool of dark power. Within moments, black tendrils of energy could be seen leaping from Malice's hands and into Raela. The dark jedi screamed and shook violently as Malice was assulting him.

*Teomura Sanagul. Railon Munari Perduellion. Medeva Saanavarah Ushandul*

Before everyones eyes, Raela's spirit was hoisted out of his body. The black tendrils of energy wrapping around the ghostly apparition of Raela. Keeping him from escaping. As the ghastly screams and wailings could still be heard. Raela's spirit was being sucked into Malice. All the dark jedi's energy and power now belonged to Malice. Not only that, but by doing this spell. Malice had increased his lifespan as well.

With sweat dripping from his mask, Malice fell to one knee right next to the cold body of Raela. The spell had taken quite a bit out of him.

The battle between Sedriss and Sa-Di was filled with lightsaber clashes, viscious blows and pure hatred. The newly annointed Dark lord toyed with the dark jedi master, like a feral predator stalking his prey in the darkness. He sensed Malice Draclau grow weaker, feeling that he had rid the world of the sorcerors but at what cost to himself, he did not know.

With dazzling efficiency he sliced Sa-Di's saber in two, leaving the heretic weaponless. Deactivating his own, the heir to Sadow lept at the man, struggling with him in a true test of strength. For what seemed an eternity they fought, with Sedriss slowly gaining the advantage. His hands forced themselves around the neck of the dark jedi, slowly crushing his vertebrae. The sickening sound of bone breaking filled the room.

Barely clinging to life he spoke to the defeated warrior, while he hoisted him above his head.

You deserve death Sa-Di and know that this day, Sedriss Sadow has given it to you.

With blinding speed he brought the mans back down hard upon his knee, snapping his spine in two, leaving him broken and dead. Reaching down, he grabbed the hair of the corpse, dragging him to the door.

Come Malice, we shall show the blasphemers the body of Sa-Di and then they have one choice; convert or perish as he did.

Looking up at Sedriss, Malice stood and followed him out of the room. But, not before doing one last thing. Turning Malice held out his hand. Closing his eyes, a rush of the force swept through him and his hands. Opening his eyes once more, Malice looked at each dead body.

One by one they burst into flames. It was a move called force sight. Which allows the user to set anything they look upon on fire. Malice would not have these disgraced dead bodies laying here in the council room. In their, council room.
