...And runs away, lives to die another day (TOO, Almania/moons)

Another ship of the line. Another day in danger. Another cup of tea.

In a single room the robed Nohgri meditates over his predicament..

His passenger liner was a smugglers vessel that knew how to run. He was rather glad to find out that they had made a random hyperspace jump out of the system. The ships sent after them were to far into the mass shadows to persue them immediately. In that time they would manage at least two random jumps to escape.

One leg over the other the small creature stares blankely at a plain gray wall. Several decades of ship building and the war ships were still the same shade of gray.

There is little that he could do or say under the circumstances. There was a world in Peril and they had to know that someone was there with them. It was the least that anyone should do. He did not ask much of the captain of this vessal. Merely the use of a pillow and a cup of her best tea.

'Best', as he refered to it meaning what ever could be supplied. Military types were often either liquour or tea men, or beings as the case may be. The liqour men in his experience were more straightforward whereas the tea men was more intuitive. He always admired the men of intuition. They invariably managed to make the very best of a bad situation. He even saw differences in how the qualities reflected the beings actions. Beings with better blends always being more mindful then those with less quality blends.

His back straight and shoulders relaxed he feels the darkness surrounding him. Never had the empire been this close to him. The very area that they invade pervades with an aspect of the darkside that he could just bearly detect.

Beings are not evil but the leaders shape how a government runs. Perhaps he would gain some insight into who, or what, runs the empire.

Stilled, clear eyes focus into the distance. Past the wall and bulkheads. As if he could gaze into infinity itself.

What he sees is the heart of the crew of this ship. A stout bunch, mostly good natured. Most assuredly not evil.

The smell of tea beckons him. In front of him is a small tea set ornately designed with loving care. One hand out in front of him he shakes the sleave with his raised arm while deftly rolling the sleeve up with the other hand. He pours a single cup using the arm with the rolled up sleave to fill the cup with a slow reverance.

He never looks at the tea itself using this as a part of his contemplations.

Raising his tea to the level of his face the gray seemed to up and meet him. His gaze floats to his cup. The darker gray tent of his skin contrasting with the wall caught his attention. He looks from Hand to wall.

Then again, gray can be a good color

With a sip he smacks his lips. "Mmm, Correllian. An excellent Blend."

(Due to the sparseness of Lupercus, I'd like to see this RP closed. As such, I hope nobody minds if I take the liberty of jumping us forward a bit.)

Epilogue

Almania. Days Later.

The Imperial occupation of Almania was a relatively easy manner to enact: under the command of Lupercus Darksword, the Imperial Fleet and Army moved against the world and its moons, and acting under the accords of Darksword's own 'Racial Purity Act' detained all those of Almanian descent, forcing them into Imperial prisons for the forseeable future.

After a search of the Vinda-Corporation transports for Jedi, and the arrest of dozens of suspects, the ships were allowed to depart, as was the interloper Star Destroyer Ressario.

The Imperial control of the system was absolute: Interdiction groups blocked all entry, searching ships attempting to enter or depart the system and detaining those suspected of linkage to the Jedi Order.

No chances were taken in ensuring that the so-called Observers were wiped out as the planet was cleansed.

Darksword himself oversaw the operation, visiting the planet to search for Jedi, and taking many into custody during the planet's fall.

By the end of the week, Almania was firmly in the hands of the New Order.

(My decision to act now is as a participant in the outcome of this thread. I do not reconize the TNO end post becuase they have not reconized the need to finish the RP. What I do accept is that the empire has done enough to blockade the system. If TNO wishes to finish a take over the planet they should do so in another thread.)

Jall had been waiting upon the opposing forces for several hours now. The Govenor had decided to raise planetary shields until the forces other than the Empires had left the system. The planet could not be faulted for keeping to their own defense.

When these foriegn forces left they would drop shields to deal with the empire not before.

A word from a jedi in the system came as a major surprise, and at the same time as no surprise at all. Jedi were self serving one minute and selfless the next. As the solar wind blows, this is how the force seems to the politician. Always as unpredictable as a wave front in a planetary atmoshere. He lived in a plains area of Almania prone to tornados. Even with all of the technology at hand the weather phenomena always took many by surprise.

Master Nogar, and a master jedi at that.

May the force be with him.

He watched as the blockade continues.

As a precuation he sent out a warning to all fleet ships. As so far they had stayed in the shipping lanes of the planet and moons. Well in range of planetary weaponry. But if they ventured to far they would run into the varies mine fields in the system. Randomly set in groups in the system, the micro-mines that made up the field were so small they were virtually undetectable. Ships that ventured out of the shipping lanes would not be left in good shape.

Several protected fields made safe corridors between planetoids.

He expects the blockade to continue for a time.

OOC: Ditto.

Epilogue - Continued

Lupercus’s ‘orders’ were followed as best as they could practically be.

With the entire system clogged heavily with civilian traffic , not just Vinda-Corp Merchant vessels , any vessels wanting to return to a planet under siege was not an option any Captain would take seriously.

Thus the return of those in compliance with the ‘Racial purity act’ , was done so by Imperial shuttles.

The resultant random searches, of what could be searched in the time involved realistically were done so. To search every single fleeing vessel from a major planet and its moons, as well as standard merchant vessels from the much used insystem trade routes , while attempting to take an entire planet militarily was not a realistic expectation.

Thus, in a sign of good faith , Vinda-Corp’s merchant fleet followed the Diktat’s orders to the letter.

Those born , those native, and of ‘Almanian descent’ were of course handed over in compliance to the Diktat’s orders.

Since most of the ‘Almanians’ onboard were colonial settlers and therefore not ‘native’ Almanians , most were able to leave without incident.

This of course meant the Drewwans were free to go, since they too were mostly Colonial settlers , from as far back as the New Alliance days of expansion.

Those onboard Schaeffer’s Craft, who were of Almanian descent , found themselves on a shuttle back to Almania , there was nothing the Captain could do, the orders were to be followed.

No Jedi were present on any of the Vinda-Corp merchant vessels, an order strictly adhered to by the ship Captain’s involved.

As the Imperials finished their random searches satisfied they weren’t going to find any ‘rogue Jedi’ .Those waiting patiently within the ‘holding areas’ along with the rest of the insystem traffic were finally allowed to go.

No Jedi had been onboard any of the Merchant vessel, and no Jedi were onboard.

As the merchant fleet finally took its leave , escorted by the Rossario. The message of their safe exit reached home to relieved relatives and employers.

The flotilla of ships and vessels lurched into hyperspace , and in an instant they were gone, destination: Bonadan.

(OOC: Ditto also on the epilogue )

Bridge of the Azgoghk.

From the lockup of the dungeon ship Lupercus had watched the final aspects of his plan come to fruition, all Almanians were returned to the planet, the jedi taken into custody and, most importantly, all witnesses had left the system.

Reports came in that the DNA sampling was proceding, and would be completed within the hour. That having been said, the Almanians DNA was just being sampled, it was being modified. A small protein based strand had been injected along with the test, the purpose of which was to attack their central immune system. Alone it wasn't leathal, or even much to worry about. But if a virulent strain of flu just happened to get out amongst the populace well, the planet would be infected within hours.

It would be a medical emergancy of the highest order, requiring action of the highest order. Quarantine. Brutally enforced.

Hell, it would be their Imperial duty to ensure no infected person was able to leave the planet. How conveinient!

Satisfied that everything was proceding accordingly, Lupercus ordered the Lictor to the outer edges of the system in preperation for their jump to Xa Fel. Now bored, Lupercus made his way down to the captured jedi, now located in the highest security cells of the craft. As an additional countermeasure Lupercus had issued the ships guards with his private stash. Guns of Command, the true power of the Hapan army.

Entering the chamber, he made no hostile gestures, just simply sat down and watched.

One hour later.

On the small holopad in Lupercus' hand a light flashed which the Dark Prince examined, the first time his eyes had left the jedi since arrival. The DNA sequincing was complete.

When he looked up again, the jedi was confronted with the biggest smirk he had ever seen. Suddenly Lupercus' mouth opened.

"Awesome."

Without notice he pressed the flashing icon, and immediately sensed the ships movement.

Moments later the Lictor was gone...

Bridge of the ASD Serephim.

"All samples aboard and stored."

Alberto nodded warmly, deeply satisfied at the missions near conclusion.

"And the pathogen?"

The Medical Corps officer nodded, not needing to check his notes.

"Already released. Planetary dispersal within 10 more minutes. Full infection within an hour. Its already at the point of epidemic proportions."

The Commodore nodded again, this time in dismissal. Turning back to his crew he gave one final order.

"Begin preperations for Base Delta Zero..."

(This should be the last post. A final response to the fate of the returned almanians, Irman Nogars state of mind in capture on a ship facing lup, and a virus dispersal in the planetary system. Please note I make no actions past those that need a response.)

All Almanians returned to the surface of the planet were sent to isolated space ports as emergency procedures dictated. The people had been in the hands of a potential foe so the fact that something could have been done to them was not out of the question. The founder of the Alderaanian guard was a former Royal Gaurdsman for the Empire. He made the planetary defense training include dictating that all possiblities of attack be considered, even from biological attacks. Every one would be held in quarintine until they were screened for any and all possible dangers. Quarintine could last for weeks until all possibilities were exhausted.

Not one person from the empire had set foot on the planet or gotten past the planetary shields. The only danger would come from those beings that could have become carriers of unseen dangers.

For the time being the planetary system would have to depend on itself for support. Something they had been prepared for for quite some time now.

Irman Nogar, Aiki master, Jedi in name only as an official master of the Observer Order. There are many fates that he can see many end in his death. Other visions are more hopeful.

Many even involve the Dark force sink that sits in front of him. In his meditations, when he closes his eyes the person that sits in front of him ceases to be a corporeal being in his sight and senses. Rather he becomes a black hole from witch no light may escape from.

The darkside is strong with this one. Irman considers the others like him. What are they like who are they.

For the moment he sits and begins to Observe.

* * *

The planetary release of some canisters of some sort was detected. Many collided with several of the widely dispersed mine fields. The rest vaporized when they hit the planetary shields.

As the Almanians attempted to return to a semblance of normalcy the pathogen, having been released not long after the people were tested, began to run rampant through the populace both on Almania and its moons.

A few of the Imperials administering the tests fell ill also, but would be fine with a few weeks of bed rest. For the genetically deficient Almanians however, such bed rest would only mean a comfortable death.

If only the Imperials had given them that time.

The Entire fleet, with fighters having taken over perimeter duty along with a skeleton unit of FCLFs, began the bombardment. It would last a few hours, and by that time Almania and its moons would be completely devoid of life.
