An Unforeseen Move

Bang bang, blam blam...that's what the galaxy was all about nowadays wasn't it? When hostilities of one force was noticed an entire salvo of super large ships were suddenly brought in from the other force, unless one had the brains to bring Abolishers with them, then in that case no one had a chance for survival. Once that single point blank occured, all hell would break loose and there was no battle, it was sheer chaos.

That is what combat had refined itself to. That would not happen with the Rogue Empire, for they had refused it for so long. Their sudden defeat of the New Alliance at Almania had brought about several changes in the galaxy, one of which was a major affect in commerce. With the New Alliance gone, everything was now balanced out between the Rogue Empire, New Republic, and Empire. Then of course a severe military power was now extuingished, not to mentioned a priority threat to galactc peace and Rogue Imperial sovereignty.

But a swift and painless battle at Almania had induced the end to the long time rivalry, a permanent end. With the New Republic now taking what was left of the Alliance, or the Remnant Alliance, or whatever one chose to call them.

Whatever the case, a swift downfall had brought them to their knees, and yet one obstacle stood in the way. Regent Logan was now pertaining high power in the Republic. The Republic had seized control of Talus, that left only one thing from Logan's potential take over of Centerpoint Station...

Tralus.

Reports rained down on the emperor like a flash flood on Ando, all of which involved something pertaining to the New Alliance, the Hapan Civil War, or terrorist attacks on Rogue Imperial harbors along the Rimma Trade Route. He scratched his head in pure annoyance as he grimaced at the thought of working these reports over.

"Sithspawn," he cursed angrily as he read over one of them, indicating that en route to the Wampa Project a decent sized amount of liquid hydrogen, armor plating, and reactor coolent had been seized by a group of terrorists en route to the station. "If these do not stop we may have to delay the date of completion..."

A small glow-lamp was Emperor Fearsons' only light, save for the distinct, glowing hue of his eyeballs. However those did not provide ample vision to actually read.

"My lord," he suddenly heard somewhere off to his right, and his attention was stolen from the durasheets in his leather gloved hand. Fearsons noticed it was one of his military advisors, hired to replace the late Admiral Wyldan. His name was, at least according to his name tag, was Jereon Meern. "I have news from the convoy en route to the Wampa Project sir."

"What? What news have you?" he demanded suddenly, jumping from his seat and throwing durasheets all about. The advisor inhaled and gulped for a moment. The Shadow Jedi Knight narrowed his eyes, getting a tunement on him with the Force.

"I, um, well my lord, it is um...in the Corellian system."

"The Corellian system?"

"Over...Tralus actually."

"Emperor's black bones!" he yelled out suddenly, a more...refrained curse generally used amongst children who would like to imitate the more adult Corellian phrases. "Why is it there?"

"We...believe a New Alliance sympathist faction may have pirated the supplies for a...um, resistance there."

A hand embodded the emperor's jaw line as he thought for a moment.

"Dispatch the Escort Fleet, I shall send a Star Destroyer to help soon."

"Yes my lord."

Twelve Hours Later...

The Escort Fleet, occasionally known as the Convoy Fleet as well, had reverted to real space in a typically glorious manner with its embodding Corellian made craft. Weapons were not primed, but they were ready for combat nonetheless.

Ahead of the several Corvettes and Gunships they could see the floating centerpoint station, a greatly powerful weapon using gravitic power similar to an interdictor's to cause massive destruction capable of destroying even a star. This might was shown during the first Yuuzhan Vong invasion, when Thracken-Sal Solo had destroyed a major portion of the Hapan Fleet in a misfire, yet also devastating the Yuuzhan Vong.

It was a marvel in power, and could rival even a Death Star. Now however it floated lifeless in the center of Talus and Tralus. However, with the New Alliance sympathist faction on Tralus and the former regent of the New Alliance now in the Republic, little could stop the madman from reaching such a great weapon...

Except this fleet.
