Alderaan a present from the past

The Nebula B-2 frigate Saber Strike was on it's way to the Alderaanian system. It was a voage that many alderaanians made every year at some time. They go to the place that that once held their home planet. That is before the empire chose to destroy the planet as an example to the galexy.

Vonta Horn .though not an Alderaanian her self, felt the sense of lose that many did for this planet. Becuase she saw it in the eyes of her former mentor and teacher Greyy Trespe. THe former royal guards man form Alderaan trained her in the arts of warfare and combat when she was a young woman in the rebelion. He taught her of the ways of war but he made sure that she knew just as strongly the ways of peace.

The teachings that she recieved all those years back were the life lessons learned on the peace ful world of Alderaan. He wowed her with the storys of the citys that lived with nature and did not dominate it. Of all sorts of peace ful creatures on the planet. It seemed almost like a fairy tale.

But that is all that it is not a fairy tale. A fancy story of a place that lives only in the history books and in the minds of those that once lived there. Greyy tortured him self over the fact that he chose the empire over his home.

Now in the vacum of space they return here. To the place where the ghosts of the past reside. Greyy wanted a personal moment here so he took one of the shuttles out into the astroid belt.

Looking out on the remains of his dead planet he allows a single tear roll down his face. leaving a rememberance for his lost family and freinds in the form of some old belongings from alderaan.

Turning back to the Saber strike he lands the shuttle in it's bay. Vonta is there to greet him. They exchange simple glances to say what they need to each other. Such is the way of the soilder.

The Nubula B-2 Frigate turns in space to head back to TNA space. The majestic ship looks like a fish swiming in a the starry back drop of space. The whole time that they head to the jump point Greyy watches the ruins of his home from a viewing deck. The stars star to stretch and the astroid feild of alderaan goes with it.

Just as suddenly as the ship starts it's jump into hyper space they are violently yanked into real space. The ship rocked with the reverberations. Knocking much of the crew on to the deck.

People all over the ship were asking each other what happened. Greyy wondered that him self. Looking out the veiw port he saw the strangest sight. A glowing hole in the middle of space. A gapping hole that from this angle appeared to begin and end nowhere. A spiral of light erupted from the tear in space.

The lights begain to flash red. A vocie over the ship's comm unit issued a woman's voice giving a urgant notice of red alert. All the crew moved to get to battle stations. Greyy rushed to the bridge.

The blast doors were just starting to close as he got there.

Vonta saw him and told them to hold them a moment. Greyy steppess through and goes strait to vonta seated in the captains seat.

"What going on? and what is that thing?" He asks her refering to the glowing hole in space itself.

"We do not know but what ever it is it is sending out a heavy gravity pulse that is pulling us into it. " She hits several controls. "WE NEED MORE POWER TO EINGINES!" she yelled to the engineers officer on the bridge who tells her that the are pushing the engines past 100 % all ready.

The ship was starting to warp around them the closer that they got to the thing. Vonta look around and saw phantoms of her crew moving about as if there were ghost on her bridge. She turns to Greyy. there are several images of him as well.

The lights seem to slow down and she swares she can almost see the photons move. Every thing is in slowmotion now. the phantoms becoming ever increaseing. The bulk heads seem strange to her now. They fade in flouescent shimmers. reveling what is happening in the vaccum of space beyond them. The hole in space they were just meters from it. and closeing. This is the end for her she thinks. Her last before they enter the seemingly infinitly deep hole of light is that she hopes that her death serves the will of the force.

Every thing in her veiw elongates like the stars do when you enter hyper space. People, droid, and bulkheads alike become ever thiner until all that she sees is the blackness of uncounciousness.

Vonta never expected to wake up again. Things faded to black and the saber strike entered the spacial anomaly. But slowly she opened her eyes seeing the controls on the left side of her command chair that she was now slumped over. Grogoly she pulls her self together. Pulling herself to a sitting position.

All around her crew men were on the deck on councious or just starting to wake. Moans errrupted from all around as people came back to their senses.

"Sensors...engineering," she addressed two of the bridged crew. " Report. "

The two officers struggled to get to their feet and check the systems at their respective posts.

"Sheilds down sir, engines are at 40 %, and we have hyper drive but barely." The engineer answered.

Sensors was taking slightly longer to respond, "Sensors??" vonta reissued the order.

The crew man was quick to answer now. "Sir we appear to be right were we were just moments ago. Relitive change in position is negligable."

Vonta was surprised :: all that for a little jump :: she thought.

"What in the name of the force was that thing." She addressed her officers.

The answer came from sensors again. "The anomaly that we just past through was sending out high concentrations of taychion particles. Considering the thing pulled us out of hyper space indicates a hyper mass shadow. If I have to issue a guess as to what that thing was I would say that it was a worm hole."

:: A worm hole? :: vonta thought to her self. :: There were plenty of documented black holes in the galexy but never had she heard of a stable worm hole. If it was a worm hole that they past through they sure did not go very far. ::

" All right people we won't get any where by just sitting here out side of the normal space lanes. Set course back to the Alderaan Graveyard, We can see about getting help there. " She turns to greyy standing transfixed by the worm hole that was now be hind the ship. "Engage jump to hyper space on my mark, 3-2-1 mark." The stars elongate and the turn to lines in space as they enter hyper drive.

------------------------------------------------------------

The ship pulls out of hyper space at the coordinates of Alderaans Graveyard. Or what should have been the grave yard.

"PIlot I said to set course for the Alderaan system." The system in front of them was definently not the astroid belt of Alderaan. In front of them stood a beutiful blue orb. With activity bustling all about the system.

The Pilot issued his response with certainty. " This is supposed to be the Alderaan system sir. I well double check the navi computer." Punching numbers to see if maybe th navi computer was damaged. "It makes no sense sir according to all readings this is the Allderaan syste."

Every one stood in disbelief this could not posibly be alderaan and yet there it was.

Greyy just looked at it longingly " That is Alderaan, I don't know how but it is."

The crew of the saber strike erupted with gasps of surprise and disbelief. whispers abound "Alderaan...." , "Can't be..it is not posible." , "Destoyed by..." , "How?!".

"Quiet, every one. We need rational minds here not speculation. save the awe for later and do your jobs while we figure this out." Vonta was doing her best to mask her own shock. Alderaan was destroyed and yet here it was in front of her. The worm hole. It could have in theory bounced them through time as well as space. So if this is the past then how far back did they travel.

"Comms. Scan the local holonet find me a date a year or some thing that we can make a time reference too."

After a shot search the officer came up with a answer. "According to this news reports of current events we are about 25 years in the past from the destruction of Alderaan. "

:: 25 years ?!!! :: Vonta was taking a moment to digest this information. She is just a child now. In 4 more years her father well die by empirial hands. She stretched out into the force to see what she could feel. Dark forces were at work. She felt the darkness that enveloped the empire. The Emporers dark side control of his men. Some thing common knowledge in her present.

There was more she sensed. Her father in the force. The strong bond that the felt him in the force. The warmth of his prescence in the force itself was so very comforting. A comfort she had not felt in years.

She pulled back into her self. Greyy was shaking her. "Vonta. Vonta!!!" he brought her out of her force trance. " We need you here and now where were you.?"

"With...with the force. There are jedi alive here and now. Many of the force users that I encountered in our present I can sense here. It is very strange." She has a distant look in her eyes. "Greyy please take command. I think I need to rest."

"Of course he answered. " He started immediately. Several Alderaanian ships came to offer assistance. The Nubulan B-2 had yet to be invented and he needed some excuses. Useing some antiquated codes for this time he made it look like he had a ship out of one of the empires secret R&D contracters. The codes got them all that help they needed no questions asked.

Vonta retired to her quarters:

She had to meditate something about this place was sending her force abilitys nuts. There were others that she felt here. A teen age Master Organa was on Alderaan right now. ChaddFearson was a there in the force as well the old man could be felt training with a light saber. She felt them all Gash Jiran, Tiberian fire, Luke skywalker. Then she found her self.

Focusing on a Force astral projection she sent the phantom vonta to observe her self. Her father was playing with her. Teaching her how to read from a childs data padd. But she was more interrested in dissecting the data padd then reading the book. She watched with a heavy heart she remembered this day well.

Her father though paused in mid sentence as he was reading. He looked around and then focused right on where her astral self was. Immediately she pulled back to her self.

Her dad saw her!

Now she remembered something else about that day, this was the day her father first told her a fairy tale about a Great warrior woman that fought for the peace in the old republic. She realized later that the storys were about her own grand mother. A jedi of the old order that was hunted down by the Empire.

He thought that she was a force ghost of her grandmother. And that may have changed the very course of her life. With out those storys she may never have known about her jedi heritage. The dangers of this time become more apparent by the minute.

Greyy sits in the Command chair of the saber strike making dozens of excuses and changes to the ships responses. They needed to appear to be a imperial craft of this day and age. And he knew all the codes for this time period that they could need.

The local Imperials thought that this was a high level security event and treated it as such. Setting down the frigate in a secluded space port on alderaan for repairs. He made several requests for replacement parts that he needed to make the repairs. Greyy was using codes that gave him enough cloat to get him pretty much any thing that he wanted.

The crew was to work on all the repairs and to the ship there was to be no on world assistance in that reguard.

:: Alderaan, I am home. :: greyy though, he looked throught the mainveiwer at the rolling plains and forests in the distance. All this is gone in his present. He could change it all he could do so much here in this time. With all that he knew of empirials at this time he could all but over throw the empire in half the time it took the rebels in the real history. The question hangs in hit thoughts.

Vonta walks onto the bridge. "Report Commander."

Greyy turned for a answer, "We are secure, I managed to make the empirials think that we are some sort of advanced weapons project. I have enough clearance to make the locals do about any thing that I want to make sure that officially we were never here."

"Good," she says with a sense of relief. " We have to minimize the effects that we have on this timeline. Or the future could be forfeit."

"Yes, but why not change it?" when greyy said this Vonta was surprised. Was he joking? Looking at him in the force she saw that he was serious.

"Are you nuts and risk changing the future! No it is too dangerous." She concluded.

Greyy continued to stare out the viewer. "Well at least let me show you some thing of my home as it was at this time. You could learn much from a experience here."

She was tempted. As a jedi visiting alderaan would be a invaluable experience. A bright center of the galaxy right here. "Very well but only the two of us. And we need to not look light our selfs. We need close and other amenities so that we blend in."

The soilder smiled. "Not to worry. I have enough provision and artifacts from Alderaan to fit our needs on board. Old belongings of my family in off world homes. I brought them to help me remember. But they well serve a purpose here as well."

Greyy retrieves clothing for vonta. Some of the cloths from this time period that his aunt left at a off world vacation home. He had vonta change her hair style to one that was quite common for this time period.

Making a order for a speeder for his use they head out on the alderaanian plains. Heading for the city of Aldera.

It was a bright, warm afternoon on Alderaan that day, and Leia gladly breathed in the fresh air, a welcome change from the sterile recirculated air of the space ship she had been on for the past few days while accompanying her father on a diplomatic trip.

She had only arrived home a few hours ago, and as much as returning to the palace weighed on her, she hadn't yet the mind to walk through that entrance and automatically pick up her usual burdens as a member of the Royal household, as the Princess.

At the age of 15 Leia was still very young and naive, but there ended all else that she had in common with other girls her age. Her tongue rivaled that of any common practiced politician in the senate, she was a reliable and extremely well mannered presence in all political functions now(with no girlish slips), and most of all... she was preparing to run for a seat in the Imperial Senate hopefully as soon as next year.

Her only shortcoming was indeed that she was a cultured and pampered Princess, and this she was constantly reminded of as she glanced behind her at the two guards shadowing her, clad in the unforms of the Royal House.

However, she was more than used to ignoring them, among other things she had been trained to take care of herself if she wandered errant, and so she continued to walk idly down one of the many busy streets of Aldera, simply enjoying the sights of her familar and much loved homeworld.

The hills around Aldera were every thing that Greyy discribed them to Vonta as in the days of the Rebellion. Creatures of all manner were domesticated and used in place of machines. Up above kids were doing cart wheels on the backs of giant flying beasts.

In the speeder vonta watched the spectical. "Are those the thrantas you were telling me about when I was younger."

With a glance to the air and off the road, "Yes gentle beasts flying on the back of one feels extroninary."

The thrantas in the air were ridden by Teenagers. Doing tricks in mid air that must be thrilling. Vonta had been flying all of her life. But never had she flown on the back of a living creature. The prospect of doing so was over whelming.

"Is there any place that we could see more? " she asks.

Considering the question "Well...there is the thranta races that should be taking place around this time. The sky track is not far from here."

Vonta's face told him all that he needed to know. "Alright we well go there allright." No use arguing with his old pupil vonta is as strong willed as they come.
