A World Torn (Closed to Everyone but TNA)

In the solitude that was known as space, there were several disruptions of the serenitary peace that seemed to envelope the galaxy. Where once a proud and beautiful planet once stood...Alderaan...it was promptly destroyed by the Empire to test their terror weapon the Death Star. The peace of that star system is no more, as asteroids constantly collide and smash into each other through the the slight gravitational pulls that each one gave.

Another, more significant disruption came to mind now, as out of the intense speed of hyperspace came two craft...a Nebulan-B2 Frigate and an Interdictor-Class Immobolizer Cruiser. The two figures motioned toward the asteroid field, a laser turret every once in a while opening and firing at an asteroid and disentragating the large chunks of ice, rock, and metal. A stray rock flew toward the Interdictor, which was classified as the Harpago...however...the gravity wells were promptly turned on, stopping the chunks of stone in orbit.

The operation had begun.

Just outside the asteroid field 1 <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Imperial<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->-class SD and 1 <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Abolisher<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->-class cruiser exited hyperspace. After a moments hesetation they entered the field, taking up position on the Interdictor's right flank.

"Captain"

"Sir?"

"Send A messege to the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Harpago<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->,tell them we are here"

Admiral Twldeen let out a joyful smirk as the New Alliance's craft pulled into the now still asteroid field, pulling in next to the Nebulan-Class B2 Frigate to the side of the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Harpago<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->. Already the six TIE Interceptors and six TIE Fighters began scouting out the area for smugglers or renegade pirates and terrorists. They whizzed past each large chunk of rock, scowing them for any life readings. However, asside from the usual bacteria on the surface, there was nothing.

"We need to clear the way for the Rogue Imperial construction convoys, clear a space in the northern most sector and drop off mines, we will have to stop anyone...or thing from catching onto our plans until it scompletely done," the admiral explained, turning nto find his seat.

Every now and again a small explosion would go off, signaling that the TIE Interceptors had found a potential target....and eliminated it. The admiral paraded down the bridge to his command seat. The white cloth of his uniform pressed against his pale skin as he rested against the chair's back.

"Captain Petreem, position the Interdictor now to the east, prepare for enemy assault, <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> just<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> incase," he explained, one hand lifting in rythmatic motion. "Summon the corvette, let them know its time to begin construction."

Petreem, whom stood at the side of Teldween, relayed the orders before turning to face the forward viewport. Every now and then small collisions would occur between two asteroids, but it would be nothing major, or to be worried about. All in all, the asteroid field seemed dead...quiet. It was almost eerie.

All was peaceful here, it seemed as though the Rogue Empire had finally found a way to transport craft through one of the deadliest obstacles in the known galaxy.

However, this chain of thought was siftly countered by the ringing of emergancy alarms and sirens as the entire bridge turned red. "Alert, alert! Hostile craft have been detected, mark One-Four, two plus three enemy craft," the voice rang over the loudspeaker. Teldween wasted no time in leaping to his feet and moving toward the viewport.

"What are we up against?" the admiral barked to the officer at the radar.

"Two B-Wings and three Assault Transports," the captain responded to Teldween, keeping a clam but confident tone. They must have been pirates or smugglers, afraid of the Rogue Empire shutting down a valuable business.

The admiral stroked his chin, there was no doubt this battle would be won, but it was the amount of losses sustained and what tricks they had up their sleeves. Fearsons gave very specific orders in thise case: let no outer witnesses live.

"Order the TIEs back to defend us, launch the gunboats, and watch for the asteroids," he ordered, bracing himself for the evasive actions. Four gunboats were seen flying in perfect formation against the attackers. Blue ion waves streaked across the space, but unlike laser shots, they did not rip into the hull, but instead the magnetic blasts were absored into the ship, eating away at the energy and computers. The first B-Wing was trapped helplessly disabled. All firepower now was focused on the assault transports, as if they managed to disable or destroy the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Harpago<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, the entire mission would be a faliure, and the craft stuck in would be destroyed.

Now came the laser blasts, these actually tearing up the armor on the transport.s In unison they whizzed past, breaking off more chunks of plating. However, the turbolaser turrets were quick to return fire and nearly destroy the first Assault Gunboat, Nu 1. The engines screamed as they slowly lost power.

"Nu1 is hit! Nu 1 is hit!" yelled Nu 3, but preventing himself from panicking. Sparks began to soar, and the two other craft pulled away, in case of an explosion. However, the transport stopped firing on it, seeing it showed no danger, and bgan taking shots at 2 and 3. The B-Wing broke formation and moved into position to pursue.

The two gunboats barely missed one of the asteroids and disappeared behind it. Deciding not to waste missiles on the chunk of rock, it too swrived to the side and doged past it, flying inverted. However, just as it reached the otherside, hundreds of green laser blasts raced past the asteroid, destroying the bomber in a matter of seconds.

Through the seering flames and wreckage flew the TIEs who'd left on their patrols, followed closely by the gunboats. The three transports however managed to launch the rockets at the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Harpago<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->.

"All craft engage the rockets, stat!" TIE Fighter Alpha One ordered, clasping his hands down on the triggers which destroyed two rockets, but two managed to explode ferociously into the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Harpago's<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> hull.

The gunboats now took their turn and let loose their trpedos in a desperate attempt to preserve the Interdictor. Four torpedogs against the larger craft's hull were not enough to destroy it, but it did begin spinning off course. A barrage of laser fire from the TIEs ended the craft's decent, and now two were left. But by now, the two other assault transports were in the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Harpago's<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> and the Firgate's gun range. Vollies of laser fire and missiles were exchanged before the two others fell.

Petreem's jaw dropped to the sight, apparently the Rogue Empire wasn't the only group interested in the Alderaan system. Already however, the admiral was giving orders to counter the pirate attack.

"Take the TIEs to the estimated coordinates of the entrance," he said, pacing up and down the deck. The captain saw the TIEs pull out and back into formation, moving deeper into the asteroid field. Turning on his heels back to the admiral, he saw simply a joyful grin.

He turned on the radios and flipped it on to contact the New Alliance craft. "Now you see why the Rogue Empire is not opposed," Teldween explained excitedly.

Logan glared at the speaker. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> they could have disabled the enemy ships<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->.....

"Excellent work <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Harpago<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->.This is Grand Admiral Logan commanding the NASD <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Keerow<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> and the New Alliance. It looks like I underestimated you,an Interdictor Cruiser is more than capable of defending itself."

Logan thanked the Force Vonta wasn't on the bridge at the moment.

"Our dropships are ready. We will allow you to pick a suitable location for the Colony. And I request that Emperor Fearsons come to the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Keerow<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> for dinner with me.I would greatly enjoy his company. He of course may bring whoever he wants."

Logan shut of the comm and looked at Neychev.

"Captain, drop the Tie Defenders and have then fly point for the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Keerow<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->.......and Captain, have them keep an eye on the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Harpago<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->.

"Of course sir"

The <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Harpago<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> motioned toward the northern sector of the asteroid field, blasting its turbolasers at the rocks, shattering them into thousands of pieces. The Interdictor found its way properly in one tiny ungraving between several of the asteroids. There was an open transmission to the admiral of The New Alliance.

"Admiral, this is Admiral Telween, we are going to be bringing in our cargo ferries soon to drop off the cargo containers, construction of the installation will begin as soon," Telween explained over the radio. "And I apologize on behalf of Emperor Fearsons, he is busy this night in Bespin and could not make it, I hope you understand."
