A Quiet Walk in the Forest (Open Sparr)

Kahn walked silently through a forest on Naboo, reflecting on all that had happened in his most recent training. It still felt a bit strange, having that piece missing from him, the part that had held the Dark Side for so long. Yet he also felt more free, lighter somehow, and he no longer had to worry as much about controlling his emotions. Yes, he still had to control them as much as any normal Jedi, but the fact that he had once been a Sith did not influence those emotions any more. The white lightsaber Amalia had given him hung on his belt as always, though he had not had a chance to use it in real battle yet.

A figure hid silently among the forest, spying its foe, and a very close range, yet remained seemingly undetected, up until now at least...

The figure stepped out and away from hidden view, revealing it's presence to its foe.

Amanda Young, Sith Disciple to Darth Snack was about to get her very first taste of blood.

She smiled lightly, she seemed to be sizing up her foe.

"Well, well, well, who'd of thought I'd cross paths with you. The force user who has the best of both worlds. The Dark and the Light. I suppose that puts you somewhat at an advantage..."

"..But at the same time, at a disadvantage, for you are vulnerable to the Darkside."

Kahn was mildly surprised to see the Sith, though it did not show on his face. No, his face was blank and emotionless at the moment.

"Everyone is vulnerable to the Dark Side, as everyone has the ability to be angered or frightened. But in the same respect, everyone has the ability to love and show kindness. So I'd say you are vulnerable to the Light as I am to the Dark."

Though he appeared to be unguarded, the Padawan was, in fact, ready to defend himself if need be. Normally Sith liked to toy with you, and sometimes they didn't even attack at all, but it never hurt to be prepared.

She smirked, and waved a hand as if to shrug his words aside.

"True, let me correct myself. You are more vulnerable than most would be."

She glanced down and toward his saber.

"You use that thing yet? Word gets around...I heard that Malice took the last one from you..."

She shrugged, a wicked grin crossing her lips.

"Me? I don't want your saber, just your heart. I need it to bring back to my Master."

She sighed.

"..But I know how picky you Jedi can be, so I'll take what I can get. Any limb will do, any limb."

The grin never left her lips as she locked eyes with her foe.

Kahn did not avoid her eyes but held them with a steady gaze.

"What on earth would your Master do with one of my body parts? Use it as a conversational piece?"

He smiled.

"As to me being more vulnerable than others to the Dark Side, I'm afraid you are mistaken. The Dark Side has no part in me now."

Knowing now that the Sith was here for a fight, Kahn subtly(sp?) reached deeper into the Force, letting it flow through him and around him, sharpening his senses and reflexes.

"No, more like a mantle piece, it makes for good decoration."

She unclipped her saber from its place upon her side.

"You ever faught a Sith without your saber?"

Kahn shrugged.

"Not that I can remember."

He had a feeling of where this was going, and he didn't like it. His hand-to-hand combat skills were average, but not as good as his saber skills. However, he told himself that a saber was but a tool, a real Jedi could fair fine without one.

"Well, there's a first for everything, isn't there?"

she tossed her saber aside, but not so that it was not so far out of reach.

"So how about it? Think you can handle it or are you too chicken, too dependent upon your saber?"

Kahn may have still been a Padawan, but he wasn't stupid enough to take the bait. Not until he had reason to.

"A lightsaber is a tool, nothing more and nothing less. It helps Jedi accomplish their missions and serves defense purposes. If I chose to, I could fight you without it. However, I see no reason to engage you in battle at the moment."

"I came here for a fight, and a fight is what I shall get. It'll be one without sabers."

She quickly force pulled his saber from his belt, tossing it off to the side somewhere near him.

"You don't sound so sure of yourself, Jedi...Not so hot without our saber, are we?"
