"The council wouldn't approve, that's for sure. But then again, they already wouldn't approve of some of my actions...at this rate, I'll never be a Master..."

Rusty shifted again, uneasily

At the mention of the word “Sith”, Adrian’s back straightened. As soon as Rusty stopped talking, and no-one else and a move to, he raised his voice above that of the wind and the earth so that his companions may hear him.

“The Sith, you say?” Adrian looked apprehensive, his young face knotted in a frown. “The must be stopped, certainly, but I do not feel that I should be a part of this movement... at least not at this time.

“My brother was, is, a Sith Warrior, and I myself am still in my infancy training wise.” He took a break, looking at the ground. “...If we few are to go up against the power of the Dark Side, then I cannot be a part of this. I have pledged to finish my training under Jedi Kahn and my studies here on Naboo at the Academy, so that I may release my brother from the Dark Force that holds him, before I go on further with my life.

“At least, further to an extreme extent. I am sure that my training will show me many different places and experiences and places before it finishes, but going up against the Dark Side...”

He leaned back, placing his hands on the soft grass behind and resting on them.

“And I would not go against the will of the Counsel.”

Rusty smiled slightly

"I used to be just like you. The Council definately wouldn't have us to start a war with the Sith, but Adrian, one thing you will learn, is that you training will indeed offer you many experiences and places. You will also learn that the Force will never steer you wrong."

Rusty turned to the others.

"Well, we have to do SOMETHING..."

" At teh rate i'm going, i'll never be a master, either, so what do we have to live for as jedi, if we cannot BE ggreat, we should do something great. Which requires us to destroy the sith.I for one have no stock in what the Jedi council says anymore. If you oen yourself to bth and work with it, your life will be some much bettr, can't you see?"

Cole did not agree with the Rogue Jedi that stood before him, talking of destroying Sith, it wasn't...for him, not part of his ways. However, he did understand where they were coming from.

He turned to look at Adrian, a new presence to him, but Adrian's Master, Kahn, was an all to known familiar presence.

"You can't learn and grow without experiences. There comes a time when every Jedi, every student, must set upon their own, to see and do new things, even a padawan such as yourself. A time when you must make your own choices. That day will come for you soon, could possibly come tomorrow, the next, or even today. Do not be afraid to take chances, but always be mindful of the force and what it tells you."

His eyes drew away from Adrian slowly to glance about the entire group.

"That last statement goes for all of you. You all seem not to know what to do, so unsure, but what does the force tell you?"

Rusty looked to Adrian

"Not to scare you, kid, but he's right...you're Master will eventually become one with the Force..."

Rusty turned to Cole

"The Force tells me to be wary, whatever I do. It also says what it has always said; it can merely guide me, it can't choose the path for me."

“Never become a Master, Han?” Adrian questioned, his boyish face drawing into a confused frown. “Never be great? These... these are not the things that I crave, not in this lifetime...” Adrian rose to his feet, faith in the cause the others had chosen to assume rapidly diminishing.

“...And I do not believe these are the things I was meant to crave, as a Jedi. No offence to you, Jedi Han,” he added quickly, before Han could get a word in, “but I do not believe that those are the true ways of the Jedi. I joined the Order to do good. Mainly, to free my brother from the Dark Side - not for personal advancement. Yes, I do believe that the eradication of the Sith would do no end of good for the galaxy, but the motive, what motive do you have for this cause?” Adrian trailed off, letting the question hang in the air.

He meant no disrespect to any of them, but felt it ideal to speak his mind in these circumstances.

Rusty jumped up, his temper flaring slightly, and approached Adrian

"Let me ask you something, kid. You say your brother is on the Darkside...but at least he's a ALIVE!!! Have you ever seen anyone murdered? In front of you?? I watched a Sith kill my father, and wasn't around to protect my girlfriend from the same faith. I need no more motive than that, kid! But it's not revenge, not the way I see it. I view it as doing the universe a favor."

Rusty managed to pull himself away and sit down again, before his temper got the best of him.

“Doing the universe a favour?” Adrian chose his words carefully, keeping his feelings in check so as to not stray to anger toward anger for Rusty. “Doing the universe a favour, by killing? That is what you meant, wasn’t it? Killing all of the Sith?” Adrian allowed himself to shake his head for emphasis, but made sure to not get too drawn into what seemed to fast be becoming an argument.

“Everyone deserves life, everyone who lives... even the Sith.” Adrian knew that that statement would probably shock the counsel, and that it may provide him expulsion from their newly formed ranks, but he was a Jedi, and he had his beliefs. Right now, this counsel seemed to want to change that.

But then that was what counsels were for, wasn’t it? To debate certain matters, to come to a firm and just conclusion, by taking in evidence from all sides and analysing it to find a good enough answer to appease all present. It was... but to question one’s beliefs?

In the silence that followed, Adrian added simply: “No, Jedi Rusty. No, I have never seen someone murdered before me...

And I hope to god that it shall remain that way.”

Cole stood in silence for a long moment, a hardened expression crossing his face, a look of seriousness.

"Killing is not the answer. If you kill, your foe's brethern will in turn, come after you and try to do onto you what you have done onto their brethern. Then, then it turns into a nasty cycle. It will keep going, until eventually, evntually, there are none of us left to kill. Violence brings nothing, people get killed, but what happens to the problem to begin with, it doesn't get solved, it just continues. Is that really what you want?"

Cole narrowed his eyes.

"A life for a life, is that what it is my fellow Jedi? Would it please you to take a life for a life, will it justify what is wrong, and make it right? You tell me..."

He too shook his own head, awaiting in silence for a justifiable answer.
