A filmers life

Kas lay on the ground stunned. He chuckeled to himself. He loved his shield. It had paid for it's self many times over.

Standing up he strided over to the thermal detonator and picked it up. With a skillful twist he deactavated it.

he was also thankfull that he always kept a blank data card at hand. They always came in handy.

Creaping around to the door, he saw the Jedi begin to lift off. As the ship streaked towards the sky, he sprinted foward and flung a homing becon at the ship. Bulls eye. Turning, he headed for the space port.

Foolish-

: A warning sensor flashed on the cockpit. Someting had attacthed to the hull. :

Time to play hard ball.

: DarkSaber brought the ship up fast, ignoring Traffic Control and rocketing past the shields. :

: By the time the man caught up, he would be in hyperspace. Destination: Alderaan. :

Kas broke into a run. His portable reciever said that the target had done somthing not rugular, and it was complaining about it.

He began to gain momentum, going faster than a corilian should go. *What the heck...*

Shooting by the guards, he dropped the detonator.

Ship after Ship he flew by, wrong, to light, to heavy, slow, no shields, there. A private E-wing. He walked over. The owner was standing next to his r5 unit talking to it.

"How much do you want for your ship"

wa...it's not for sale!

Here, 10000 credits. He handed over the money the jedi had given him.

The man's eyes bugged out.

but but...

Kas swatted him aside, and climed into the ship. All security codes were open, and he swiftly redid all of them.

Woomp...BOOM the detonator went off.

"Rock and Roll!"

The E-wing launched out, and sped after the faint tracking signal. Sithspit, the sensors on this thing were worth the hair on his head. They where the standard models.

There, the blip was up, he followed, catching up easily.

E-wing. A good ship, but nothing compared to this baby.

: DarkSaber tapped the console of his heavily modified B-wing Starfighter. Taking a switch in his hand, he waited until the E-wing was in range. He pulled the small lever back, releasing a cluster bomb, then hit a button on top that let a sesmic charge loose. :

: The B-wing was in hyperspace before the second one could detonate. :

This guy is nuts? Cluster bombs and then a sesmic charge this close to a planet?

Kas put his fighter into a dive. Pulling up he saw that the planetary defences were already taking care of the offending weapons.

The warning light on his tracer flashed.

And died.

"RRrrrrmmmmhh" he growled

The tracer spit out the last knowen posision.

"The only thing between here and...where ever... is the Alderaan astroid field. He will have to stop there."

Course set, engage.

OOC: THe e-wing has a unmodified sublight speed of 11, while the unmodified heavy assult fighter B-wing has a sublight speed of 6. The Expanded E2 has a speed of 7. Both have a sublight speed of 2x. To go faster you will have to loose some of your ships good stuff, like weapons. Your ship wasn't built for speed as the primary factor, but for assult. No matter how much you modify it, an e-wing will always have an ege. :)

Floating through hyperspace Kas thought back.
How had he done those things? He had moved so fast. And that growel, that sounded like an animal.

He shuddered

Well, he would find some answers soon enough. Maybe this jedi would lead him to the folks who wanted those jedi tapes.

Thinking of the jedi tapes, he pulled out the datadisc that he had taken from the jedi. He poped it into the holoreader in the Ewing.

After watching the film, he reasured himself that the jedi he was following was not the sith in the film. But were had that sith gone to. He defenetly saw me.

The timer beeped. 3 minuits to re-entry

: DarkSaber was waiting. As soon as the nav computer detected the raditation of a hyperdrive re-entry the targetting computer locked on. :

: His ion cannon pulsed out towards the enemy ship... :
  • Posted On: Jun 27 2002 10:27pm
ok, here we go... Kas reached for the hyper drive lever and pulled back...

The first shot took out his shields. The shock sent the unprepared Kas into his yolk, sending the ship into a spiral down. That spiral saved him from the second and third shots.

Kas pulled himself back into his seat. pulling hard to the left he did a tail spin and came up ....

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

swerving he narrowly managed to miss the b-wing.

His targeting computer did it's thing, telling him that he couldn't lock on and fire his proton, but he over rode it. Setting it to proximity, he let her go.

: The B-wing shuddered slightly as the torpedo exploded, but it did not concern the pilot. :

: DarkSaber smirked and fired twin missiles at the B-wing, then settled his cross-hairs over the ship. :

Both ships were now shield-less, as the proton had done it's job. Kas had hastily looked over the armaments of his new ship, and he now realised that the former owner wasn't really on the straight and narrow.

zipping between the astroids he did a rollercoster like ride down. One false move and it was the end of his great life.

The Jedi followed, his blasters going.

Kas pressed a few buttons.

...1 away...2 away...3 away... 4 away...
The computer beeped. Dang, seeking magnetic mines were out. That fella must have been reloading them when he left. Oh well, he armed a particularily nasty weapon and let her fly as he did a loop.
