I rarely get woken up by lightning. The bolt that woke me up was unusual. Normally you would hear two sound reports of lightning, the initial report than the echo, but I could've sworn I heard three reports.

Good thing it isn't dry lightning. We are getting our first soaking since Feb. 3rd.

Well it was a tough night, but we pulled through just fine. Three lightning strikes within a minute of each other shut down our power at 3:15 AM and it stayed off for at least three hours. We got a very good soaking which is good for the wild fire threat.

I had every intention of posting here on how I was back from my little trip to Iraq's Green Zone. Then I woke up and realized it was just a dream, and I was mildy disapointed.

Mostly because I cannot for the life of me remember what was printed on that awesome T-Shirt I had purchased. :(

"I went to Iraq and all i got was this stupid T-Shirt"?

It was cool. Not lame.
