#1: Is there such as thing as Native Canadians? How many indian tribes lived north of the Lawrence?


Yes. Lots. Very diverse. Their numbers, and how they lived, are both hot topics of debate in the athropological community and suchlike. But yeah, quite a few.

The past 50 years have done wonders for what we know about pre-West North America. The next few decades will do too...

"1491" opened my eyes to a few new ideas most recently. I highly suggest it as a must-read. But, be skeptical! It's not all fact...

I live on the West Coast of BC. The Coast Salish were a fairly large tribe. Nootka, Squamish... Warrior folk too.

Can't forget the Hyda (or however you spell it. I'm English :P). The guys who made totem poles and did it right!

I my grandmother on me fatha's side was fullblooded something, but I can't remember what...she was from Trail, Canada though.
