Indeed - a neat magical act, if ever there was one.

Spoiler:

I thought Batman and Joker went together like a PB and J sandwich; I think Heath was excellent, Bale just as much, and I enjoyed the surprise deaths in the movie. I also thought Two-Face was great, though I didn't like how he 'died' at the end - I still believe he was secretly whisked away to Arkham, and did a 'Gordon'.

Also, as pointed out, Ra's was done - he was Liam Neeson in Begins (and no, the other guy posing as Ra's was just that... a poser, put in place to protect Ra's should he decide things went belly upward).

I don't know who they might use for the next, and I had been hoping Dent would be the main villain in three - I had it thought that Two-Face would be damaged at the end of this one, and would go insane for part thrice... but, unless they decide to cast him, and have it that he survived and was sent to Arkham, with a grand 'he's dead, let's honor him' cover up, I don't know.

Either way, as long as they don't touch villains already done (with the exception of Joker, as Heath did fantastic, far better than Jack 'Mr. Giggles' Nicholson), then it should be all good.

Some of my picks:

- Bane (how he should be played - as an overly intelligent, scheming, underworld boss who controls most of the cards and manipulates; forget that crappy, half-assed version in Clooney’s Batman... that was an insult to the character)

- Killer Croc (he could work...)

- Hush (not well known, but a grand schemer if ever there was one - could make for intense psychological warfare on Batman, while also being able to fight like him)

- Clayface (could work...)

- Black Mask

- Man-Bat

I don't particularly want to see Freeze, Ivy, Catwoman or Penguin... but who knows, as they are the most 'known', in terms of being able to recognize them on sight.

heath made jack look like a complete amateur. as far as im concerned there is only heath's joker and nicholson fans can go pound sand. heath was not only more true to the incarnation of the character, but also to the idea of a the joker. there are so many subtle hints and ticks that he gave the character that just made it great. that fact that he died lends nothing to the role other than the idea that he died at his peak and could have gone on to so many more incredible roles. this movie just showcased his flourishing talent.

black mask would work really good with nolan's gotham (being tied to the mob and all)

two-face wouldnt go well, considering the ending of the dark knight.

but who i'd like to see most is a new riddler. played by someone like edward norton (doubtful being he was star of the hulk) or tim curry (too old now though) or maybe even andy serkis or as mentioned robin williams.

Dude. I could totally see Jim Carey reprising the Riddler just in Nolan's style. He played the Riddler in the goofy way he did because that's the way the character was written and thats what he was told to do. We've clearly seen since then that Jim Carey can handle more serious roles. I think he could totally pull off a much more creepy but still comical Riddler.

SPOILERS

That's funny Hyfe I was just thinking the same thing about Jim Carrey playing the Riddler again, I totally think he could do it. I also think that given the track record of the two new films, they could do an amazing job with the Riddler. Catwoman could be one too, if they do it right. Especially with the death of Rachel, it could be a new romantic interest for him.

Who knows, whatever villain they decide to use I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I never would have thought Ra's and Scarecrow would have made such a great movie, but it did. As for Two-Face, I could easily see him coming back for a sequel. Did they even say that he was dead? I know they were talking about how they'd have to cover it up and all but I just assumed he was laid out.

I'm gonna have to see it again, the movie was amazing. Heath Ledger was a phenomenal Joker. He went above and beyond my lofty expectations.

I think they *could* bring Dent back, and it would be simple to do so... but do they want to? Would it ruin the character death that made Dent snap in the first place, only to ultimately perish in his quest for revenge?

I'm of two minds on the idea, but I have the feeling Dent was 'killed', and we'll see other villains for the third installment.
