Force Unleashed was a good first step in the right direction for better, improving games for Star Wars (again) - I still want them to do another great flight sim, ala X-Wing Alliance...

I haven't read the second Bane novel, but the first sucked; it followed the comic almost word for word, and I wasn't impressed.

And when I mean 'nothing decent recently', I mean the movie/feature genre - the games and books, etc, will always just do their own thing.

I still want that flight sim. Could you imagine how good one would look these days, with the graphic capabilities of developers? Man... it would look like you're flying in a Star Wars movie.

Dude, Battlefront II had a spectacular flight simulator, in terms of Star Wars. And with Battlefront III looming, I imagine it will only get better.

I totally enjoyed Force Unleashed, although it lacks replay-ability beyond unlockables etc. I would like to see, for the next Lucasarts game (outside of BF3) to mix the better features of Unleashed and the Jedi Knight series.

The Clone Wars animated series has it's high points. It's not all crap and I think those who would be overly critical without actually watching should check themselves. Same with the movie.

I can't speak to the comics or to the recent novelizations of whatever subject material because I haven't kept up, but the last stuff I did read was pretty damn good. I have every intention of catching up with the Legacy arcs (in comic and novel form) and that which I've seen I enjoyed thoroughly. The concept is pretty amazing; Star Wars a hundred some years later - in fact much of it reminds me of TRF in the sense that it's pretty far removed from typical Star Wars.

True enough. I meant a dedicated flight sim, though, one that is based on the X-Wing series (novels) or something? Maybe even an original story, ala X-Wing Alliance, which tells a different tale via during the events of the movies or some such...

But yes, Force Unleashed combined with Jedi Academy would rock - all of those impressive graphical elements mixed with choice and consequences and mildly open-ended gameplay would rock.

Also, I can't gain access to those clone wars movies... not a member or anything, and it said I needed to be one? You got access? Can I borrow it to download them? ;)
