You know that's funny... I remember from the preample "look at me I'm George Lucas!" they said about the original film stock "If we hadn't done this now it would be impossible to do it. Ever."

And now we have a totally new remastered version...

I can sum that up in this many words: George Lucas is a big fat fucking liar!

Well, it only took a single day for someone on my campus to get the dvd rips onto the school filesharing hub, so even though my dvds are still in the mail I've already seen the new versions.

The work Lucas did to bring the video and sound quality of the movies up to dvd standard is excellent, and the change in quality from the SE to the dvds is quite noticeable. It was sort of like watching them for the first time all over again with the changes, of course I was watching them on my comp so I had surround sound for the first time too, but....

After watching the movies, really the only changes I now am opposed to are still Hayden in ROTJ, that was just horrible to watch, Fett's voice is acceptable and I'm still not sure how I feel about the dialogue change in ESB. The whole Jar Jar thing I am not sure about, a Gungan does yell wesa free in Naboo but that's a ya, whatever, type of thing. Overall with the special features coming on the disks, I'd say i that I'm going to get money's worth out of the dvds. Now if only there were a way to zap Guinness back into ROTJ.....

I had heard a rumor that in the end scene of ROTJ, Jar Jar was clearly seen in the Naboo celebration yelling, "wesa free!"

After seeing the scene myself, I'd have to say that was a pretty dumb rumor.

The whole finding Jar-Jar thing in the final scenes is like the most over-complicated version of "Where's Waldo?" ever created.

No OS, it really is there, I don't know if its Jar Jar Binks or not, (kinda hard to tell from how small the char is), but, there is some Gungan spoon shooting from the rootops of theed saying: "wesa free"...turn up the volume and listen carefully , but it is there.

...and it sucks. Showing Theed was enough.

Personally I don't understand why the Emperor didn't kill off all the Gungans, if I was Emperor , I surely would have.

Especially Jar jar Binks.

Instead of Alderaan it should have been Naboo.

I will laugh my ass off if in EP:III, Naboo was destroyed or decimated by the Empire.
