Meh.

It's great at what I need/want it to do. I'm not a fan of PC gaming these days anyway. It's just a dual-core 1.6 GHz with a single GB of RAM and no graphic card save that which is on-board... it's an Acer Laptop. Thankfully I have an external TB drive for media storage and between my 360 working as an Extender is a perfect media machine for my needs.

I do my gaming on my console, which is down to just the 360 now that I have went and sold off my PS3. So you can see why I'm eager for any news about a console launch...

My rig is fine, it's getting a little slow these days, but that's due to RAM. Graphics card is above average, and my HD is decent.

I should be able to run TOR at a respectable level - I managed to run Age of Conan on high when it came out, which I'm told was impressive for that time - besides, which, I tend to turn down a few settings that I feel I don't need or can live without.

Such as detailed shadows, or highly reflective water, etc, etc.

If they offer a lifetime sub, I'll be taking that, and enjoying the game from then on. If they don't... I'll be less inclined to buy, as I can't afford monthly fees at the moment (with the average being about $25-30 a month).

I hope they offer that initial lifetime sub... that would rock my world.

But, either way, I will try it surely, and will make either a Bounty Hunter or a Smuggler - depending on where my fellow peeps end up, faction-wise.

Average is $25-$30 where? The few MMO's I've played are generally in the $15 range per month. I know some MMO's offer a pre-launch Lifetime subscription that tend to go away on launch. The only examples I know of are from cryptic though and that was about $200. Of course, coming out 2011 I got the prep time to save some scraps on the side for that...

As an aside, figure we got enough interested people around here to form a guild? I mean, TRF owning face in a persistant SW MMO would be pretty awesome.

$25-30 AUS, my friend. Australians pay premium.
