Something to think about: In this movie Bond has had 00 status for all of what, a month? Just two weeks ago his girlfriend was killed. It's a very short timeline.

I have really enjoyed both movies. Quantum is not as good as Royal, but when viewed as a whole I think they provide a nice intro to Bond. I can see a transformation taking place. He's beginning to appreciate expensive drinks. With the death of whatsherface from Royal, he's now beginning to exploit women purely for his aims, with less of an emotional attachment. The gadgets, Q, those will come. He already has the ego, now he just needs the experience.

True enough.

I'm just saying they might be taking a little too long to do so, though. Four movies is great, but he could have been more on track by the end of the second, a lot more than what he is.

If, in the third, he's got gadgets and generally acts more like 'Bond', then I'll be content. I think Craig is very 'English', as opposed to the more Americanized Bond - ala Brosnan, etc - and that does irk me a little (that Craig is so)... not sure why, it might just be that deadpan English personality. :P
