True but they're mostly single taskers. Reggie Bush needs to be able to scan the field, be agile and fast. Vince Young needs to think quickly, throw and it helps that he's agile and fast. Hockey is much faster paced, you don't get breaks the same and you're doing the same amount of work except with less rules to protect your sorry ass.

Footbll is also a stop start sport with almost as many breaks as baseball. Especially with the new rules, hockey is all go, all the time, and blink and you miss it pace. You need a ton of skill to play in the modern NHL, and not only that, but I'd suggest that you need every skill you need for football (the ability to take a hit and endure, the ability to have stamina to play a contact sport for an hour, the ability to use your hands to pass/catch or use a stick) AND THEN have to be able to have phenomonal skating ability to not look lost on ice. Saying you need more skill to play football is simply not true.

But I'd rather compare Hockey to Soccer rather than Football, as the two sports are much more alike and compariable.

Thats true to an extent but Hockey is fast paced and fun and proffessional soccer is slow and dull.

So compare it to high school or college soccer. Both of those are really fast paced and entertaining.

I don't see how you can say it's comperable at all.

Football and football are comperable, both played on massive fields with large teams on grass and a ball.

Hockey, on the other hand, is played on a small field, with five a side on ICE at a time, and with a puck. Plus everyone has sticks.

How you can compare anything to hockey I'm not sure. It's uique and in my opinion a far better game then any mentioned.

Maybe in Canada it is. In the states the most popular sports are baseball and football you can ask anyone about it. It's baseball and football or nothing around her. Or basketball I guess. Though the NBA sucks.

Notice that the word popular did not enter my post.

I do not give a shit about popularity draws gate revenue or television contracts. I am talking about the game itself as a form of entertainment and in my opinion it is unsurpassed.

No, but you said opinion which in the case of sports is conceived as which you see to be the most popular. Mainly Hockey is popular with you. Football is the most entertaining sport ever created, other than handball which was created by the Aztecs and other such people of central America.

If you say so.
