I wish people would just be honest and say:

"Look, I intended to RP here, but in the end things happened and I couldn't be bothered. I promise that if I do manage to RP at a new board, I'll give it a decent shot here, otherwise I'm just dropping by to say 'hey!'."

I just type there-down-enter 60% of the type by force of habit when opening up my browser... of course usually then it's like... "oh, I opened this up to go do homework..." or something.
