Lupercus
As a true clubber i am highly offended by that statement.

Mainly because it is based in the highly dubious 'fact' that people only listen to that crap at clubs. Hip hop clubs perhaps (despite the fact it's not actually hip-hop, but thats the blanket term applicable), but not proper clubs.

Also, attempting to pass Ushers power-balladeqsue love songs off as rap is highly demeaning to any rapper, i'm sure.

Real clubs play house, breaks and trance, or derivations of the sort.

I didnt say club music was hip hop, I said hip hop was club music. Reversing the order makes a HUGE difference.

Also Usher is R&B except for "Yeah!" which is definately hip hop.

And I am not going to explain the meaning of Krunk, if you wanna figure it out, listen to Lil' Jon.

I don't know why I would possibly do that. Apparently it has something to do with partying and shit, I read that on Wikipedia.

I should mention, though, that I find people going out of their way to bash rappers and Usher and whatever else you kids are listening to just as funny as people who knock Kill Bill for being unrealistic or The Darkness for being stupid. I mean that kind of music in general is obviously meant to be a certain thing, and it is what it is. It's not as though Usher tried to write some big vague abstract masterpiece and wound up shouting "YEAH"; that music is meant to appeal to a certain set of people who are looking for a certain set of criteria.

I mean saying it is artistically vacant is a valid statement, but you're stating the obvious because it is obviously meant to be that. It's like how people rant on about Britney Spears. Give up. Everything you're saying is obvious.

I agree. Rap isn't meant to be artistic, however I still feel Kill Bill was a good waste of a hour and 51 minutes of my life.

Well I believe that makes you a hypocrite, but that also of course is your right.
