Sound weird? It is!

Whenever I open Firefox OR Internet explorer, I find I cannot visit any site, and yet I can definetly come here. I'm connected, because some programs that use the internet are fine. They're not being blocked by any firewalls and I have picked up no viruses or adware yet, despite running Ad-aware, spybot, and Norton Proffessional.

Er - the instant I posted this, suddenly it started working again...

I didn't change anything, and I'd even tried restarting before now without success...

Confused... It'll probably start again soon.

Ok, its' happening again.

I can visit this site, and Omnae has proven to me that I am still getting outside input (Because I can see his reply.) However, I apparently have no Global IP address, and my Upnp or something is disabled.

Me = confused.

When my computer does freaky shit like that, I either....


a. kick it
b. madly press the restart button
c. it's not my fault, UB netpass is just messing with me like usual and I will get full net access back when it feels like giving it to me

I wish kicking computers WOULD solve problems. One day, when computers can think for themselves, then we'll be able to blame them directly for all our problems. :D Seriously though, this is in fact baisically the only site I can reliably visit for more then ten seconds at a time.

Which means I'll probably get a lot of writing done...

I do know that earlier my net was acting slow. Not so much this site but on others. So maybe it's a net problem in general going on? Who's your ISP? (I have cable: Midco)
