I have a brand new computer with a brand new optical mouse... but it keeps double clicking all the time, even when I don't click any buttons. It's really ticking me off by clicking things I don't click, closing things when I'm still looking at it and so forth. I've adjusted the sensitivity but it didn't change any thing... I'm not familiar with optical mouses and was wondering if you guys had any suggestions?

1) Thoroughly scan your computer for viruses
2) Unplug the mouse, restart yuor computer and plug it back in

If you have optical mouse problems you should get an optical cat.

thanks guys, I tried some of those and nothing happened but then I restarted again, which seems to have been the magic number to do something, it hasn't done it since... not sure what actually did something though
